Percy , Jason, Piper, Hazel, Nico and Frank were nervous when they walked into Hogwarts.
They could feel the witches and wizards eyes on them as they made their way through the halls.
Piper thought this was normal because in the same week 8 suspicious people transferred to Hogwarts. Before these 6 people Annabeth and Leo had arrived and had been put in Ravenclaw.
They eventually arrived in front of Ravenclaw. Percy asked someone “Hey there! We are new here. Do you know where Annabeth Chase and Leo Valdez are?” The person he asked looked scared but eventually pointed behind them.
They turned slowly when they saw Annabeth and Leo standing in front of them. “Seaweed Brain! Thank the gods you got here safe!” said Annabeth when jumping in Percy’s arms. He answered with “ Good to see you too, Wise Girl.” while grinning.
People look confused everywhere in the halls. They thought who were these people were and who was scary (known for I hate everyone looks) Annabeth Chase hugging? She seemed genuinely happy hugging this boy. And people had thought she and Leo was dating because they hadn't been near a lot of people except each other. And what kind of nickname was Wise Girl? It was normal compared to Seaweed Brain. And why did she say gods? Like plural type.
The looks turned to Leo when he said “Hey there guys! Glad you came safe. “ as if they could have died when they were trying to come here.
Annabeth then told them they could wait in a class before dinner and sorting.
So they found an empty class and started discussing their mission.
They talked for a while but eventually came time for dinner so they all went for the dinning room. Annabeth and Leo sat next to each other and started to eat while discussing something.
Dumbledore rose from his seat and grabbed everyone's attention. Everybody stopped the conversation they were having to listen to their teacher. Dumbledore opened his mouth and started to speak. “As you all know we have new students that just transferred here and will be staying here for the rest of the year. Let me introduce them to you.” Leo and Annabeth had been through this so they were sitting at the Ravenclaw table and listening to their teacher. When he said “Go on, introduce yourselves.”
Percy stepped first and said “Hello my name is Perseus Jackson but you can call me Percy.” After him Jason spoke “ And my name is Jason Grace. Just Jason is fine” and then the others continued “ Hey I'm Piper McLean. You can call me Piper or Pipes” .“ Hey I'm Hazel Levesque. Just Hazel is fine.” . “ Hello I'm Frank Zhang you can call me Frank.” And then the last person that looked tired and depressed said “I'm Nico di Angelo. Just Nico is fine or whatever.” He said with a tone that continued with a sigh. “Very well and your guides are going to be Annabeth Chase and Leo Valdez in Ravenclaw. I believe you guys already know each other so no need to exchange life stories.” Dumbledore said and chuckled.
“Put the Sorting Hat on please Frank Zhang you first.”
Frank put on the hat which yelled almost immediately “Hufflepuff!” Hazel put the Hat on next and the hat screamed “Slytherin!”
“Great!” thought Draco Malfoy. A new student this would be interesting.
Next Nico put on the hat and the hat thought for a second as if doubting themselves and yelled “Slytherin!”
Draco was more irritated when he heard there were two Slytherins. “Should have kept my mouth shut.” he thought.
Jason put on the hat and the hat thought for about 2 minutes after deciding on “Gryffindor!”
Harry, Ron and Hermione were scared of this new student because the hat doubted itself too much but just shrugged it off.
Piper was next and it was determined that she was a Hufflepuff.
Last person left was Percy. He winked at Annabeth before putting on the hat. Which Annabeth answered as she softly smiled and rolled her eyes at him.
Everybody notices this of course and started to create rumors in their head to spread around after dinner.
Annabeth of course noticed people looking at Percy and then her trying to create stories that made but she didn't mind. Her and Percy was dating anyway people were going to find out sooner or later.
The hat started to think aloud. “This is interesting. So many different things going on in here and WOAH how did that happen and when you were 15!” The same thing had happened to Annabeth after she put on the hat the hat said something about when she was 7 years old. She guessed that it was probably about when she ran away from home and travelled all the way to camp. And the hat was probably talking about the Manhattan war that had happened about Percy.
The hat thought for TOO LONG. Everyone's food was getting cold. The other newcomers looked scared as if Percy wouldn't get a house.
But Percy was the complete opposite. He sat comfortably while waiting. Even Annabeth looked genuinely concerned when the hat finally yelled “Gryffindor!”
Annabeth looked relieved. But Harry , Hermione and Ron were definitely suspicious of the two. And wasn't going to shrug this ‘Percy’ guy off. The hat didn't always take that much time to decide unless something had happened that shocked the hat so much when he was 15.
They thought that the hat had done the same thing when deciding for Annabeth. So something was suspicious of this group and they were going to investigate it.
