Chapter Text

Enid.
“No but I want to be.” Those are the works uttered by Wednesday as she stares up at her, her jaw dropped in awe and surprise at her courage to confess to her. She may be the wolf between the two but her roommate had always been braver than her.
“Wednesday.” She breathily whispers her name, now reaching out to grab hold her by the waist.
The goth facial expression shifts from hopeful to relief, her lips forming a small smile that she desperately wanted to kiss.
“Be mine then.” She continued, sounding close to begging. “I love you so much so please be mine.”
But she couldn’t care less if she sounded desperate. She was. She’d get down on her knees for her anyway, she’d kiss the ground she walked on every single day from here on out if the goth would let her.
“Yes.” The goth quickly answered. “My hearts been yours for a long time.”
She wished that she’d realised it sooner but she couldn’t turn back time and she hated how much of it she’d already wasted.
“I’m sorry for being so blind.” She frowned in apology. “I have a lot of catching up to do.”
Wednesday shakes her head, her thumb moved to her lips bringing back her smile. “There’s no need for apologies Enid.”
“Fine, but I don’t want to waste anymore time.” She replied, determined to get her point across.
Standing up from the bed, she was face to face with Wednesday now. She broke their intense eye contact to glance at her lips before bringing her eyes back to meet hers.
“Enid.” Wednesday breathily whispered, tilting her chin up slightly in silent permission.
That was all it took before pulling her flush against her as she placed her lips on hers.
The kiss wasn’t like any other she’d experienced before because as soon as their lips met it was like everything finally fell perfectly into place and it felt as though she was finally whole, which is crazy because she never even realised a part of her had been missing until this very moment.
“Wednesday.” She mumbled, pulling away slightly to gently nose her neck.
She felt the goth slightly shiver as she placed soft kisses on her neck, erasing the other scent that lingered on her. Wednesdays was hers now.
“Much better.” She groaned before returning her lips back to Wednesdays, a part of her wolf wanted to forget that someone else had been where she’d been just a little bit earlier.
She heard the other girl quietly moan and she slightly froze before going continuing but it was too late as she’d already sensed her hesitation.
Now it was Wednesday’s turn to pull away.
“Enid?” Her girl questioned, cheeks slightly flushed. “Everything okay?”
She nodded, sitting down on the bed and pulling her down to sit on her lap. “Everything is perfect and you’re perfect.”
“You seem to be holding back.” Wednesday nervously stated, she shouldn’t be surprised as she could always easily read her. “Is this too much?”
Her wolf picked up on her mates anxiety as she nuzzled into her dark hair to soothe her worries.
“No of course not. It’s not you.” She mumbled apologetically. “It’s me and my jealousy, and as much as I’d like to place all the blame on being a werewolf, I also need to take accountability because my wolf is not a seperate being, she’s a part of me and her emotions are my own.”
She wanted to build this love on a strong and steady foundation, she didn’t want it to crumble at the slightest inconvenience, problem or fight that would inevitably occur as it does in every relationship. So what better way to start then with trust and honesty.
“Please just let me get this off my chest.” She pleaded as Wednesday went to reassure her. “First of all my jealousy is not your responsibility to fix, I’ll work on it but I don’t think it’s something that’ll ever fully go away. I know this feeling is probably only one tenth of what you went through when I was Ajax but I’ve never felt this way for him so I’ve never felt real jealousy until you.”
She took a deep breath, keeping eye contact with Wends as she held onto her tighter, placing a kiss to her cheek before continuing. “I’m glad you want to be mine and I yours. I also absolutely want to continue kissing you but it can’t be go any further than that right now. When I mark and officially claim you I want it to be out of love, not jealousy and my wolf’s over possessiveness.”
Wednesday sat quietly for a minute, processing her words before shifting from her lap. She let out the most pitying whine as the girl left her lap but was silenced as she sat down on her again in a straddle.
“I understand Enid, but just know I only love you.” Wednesday reassured her, placing a gentle peck on her lips before continuing. “Mira was a distraction, one that only came about because you sat in the wrong seat this morning.”
“What?” She asked confused.
“I had planned to ask you out this morning in class via a note on your table but you sat with Ajax, who I did not realise you gave another chance to and Mira ended up in your seat and read the note instead.” Wednesday explained.
“I didn’t even know her name until then and I had to awkwardly figure out how to explain that the note wasn’t meant for her but she figured it out on her own and instead offered me a temporary solution from my very persistent feelings for you.” She continued.
Guilt mixed in with her jealousy as Wednesday explained what occurred. This all could’ve been avoided if she stopped self sabotaging and didn’t attempt to settle with Ajax. Mira wouldn’t have been in the picture and she would’ve been Wednesdays a couple hours earlier.
“You don’t seem the type to randomly hook up with someone though.” She frowned.
She didn’t mean anything by it but it felt out of character for her Wednesday.
“No I’m not.” Wednesday smiled. “But I was desperate to move on after seeing you with Ajax again, I think after weeks of giving you space before trying my luck and just for you to end up with him again nearly broke me. Divina has been a godsend when it came to advice about my feelings for you but in that moment I needed to attempt to forget about them instead and Mira kind of helped with that.”
“I guess I don’t really have any right to be jealous.” She sighed to herself.
“You can feel what you want Enid, I’d never not want you to withhold your emotions for my benefit.” Wednesday reassures her while cupping her cheeks. “Plus we’re more alike when it comes to jealousy than you think.”
Her heart felt full and her expression was probably the definition of heart eyes as she tugged the girl in for a deep kiss.
“You’ve had feelings for me for so long.” She mumbled against her lips before leaning back and pulling Wednesday to lay with her as they giggled. “I guess have a lot of kisses and cuddles I need to make up for.”
She peppered her face with kisses as the goth giggled before tugging her in for a proper kiss.

The next day they walked hand in hand through the school as they wanted to make their way to Jericho for a first date. They didn’t expect to run into were Divina and Kent, who looked ecstatic to see the two of them.
“You’re finally together!” Divina exclaimed. “See what the magic of communication can do.”
Wednesday just rolled her eyes. “I guess you were right.”
“Well it’s about time.” The siren adds and Kent agreed.
“Wait, even you knew?!” Enid asked the boy in annoyance.
“Yep, figured it out a while ago but kept quiet because I didn’t want to face Wednesday’s wrath.” Kent laughed. “Plus she’s not exactly subtle either with her seething glares at Ajax.”
At that the goth blushed and directed one of those glares to the siren boy, who just laughed and raised his hands up in surrender before bidding goodbye alongside his sister as they excused themselves.
“Have I been truly that blind that even Kent figured it out before me.” She groaned in embarrassment.
Wednesday squeezed her hand in reassurance before dragging her along to continue their trek.
“It’s alright Enid, you have forever to make up for your obliviousness, starting with this date.”
She smiled at the word forever, completely forgetting her embarrassment as she cooed and lifted her hand up to kiss. “Forever sounds great.”
