Chapter Text
I found myself staring at the bright yellow full moon as Sieun and I sat in the swing sets in a park near the hospital.
It's been 4 weeks since I've woken up now, with regular physical therapy sessions walking is almost a piece of cake now. I turned to look at Sieun, who was still looking up at the moon.
“It's pretty tonight” he muttered in his breath
“Not prettier than you” I winked as I yanked his swing towards mine, a slight smile grew on his pretty face, his tanned skin couldn't hide the deep blush that grew all across his cheeks towards his neck.
“Stop it!” He gushed as he lightly pushed my chest to get me to stop pulling his swing towards me, at the push I gasped and feigned falling down in the sand in pain
“Suho! Are you okay?” Sieun grabbed my face to have a look at exactly how hurt i was, but he was only met with my uncontrollable laughter realising I had successfully pranked him.
Angrily he got on top of me, holding me by the collar, he hit me in the chest again, rapid fire attacks from his fists, and I have to say they hurt just a little. I grabbed his fists and gathered them in my hand, kissing his knuckle, I wanted to take a look at his face but he'd buried it in his neck, straining his neck to look down on his chest.
Gently I let his hands go and slowly cupped his chubby cheeks in my hands and made him look at me, tears in his eyes at the verge of falling made my heart twinge in ache.
“Oh dear, Sieun-ie are you really gonna cry? Did I make you cry? I'm sorry Sieun-ah, hmm? Would you forgive me just this once?”
I pleaded with the deer eyed beauty on top of me, and he just shook his head and looked away from me.
Was he pouting? That earned another laugh from me, laughing I collapsed, laying flat on the sand as Sieun initially stared at me in anger, his little lips pouting cutely, but he found himself stopping himself from a smile and then gradually he laughed as well and he laid right next to me, in the sand.
“Sieun-ah, I've always wanted to say this to you, but I thought … I thought it would ruin what we had. But being frozen in time for 2 years while time moved normally for you made me realize one thing. Yeon Sieun, I want to be a part of your life for a long time. I want to stick around and see you making friends, handling bullies, I want to see your name in the top ranking students list with my own eyes, I want to be able to have your back in a fight, I want to be able to live in your stories not just listen to them. I want to be a part of you, Sieun.”
Sieun smiled, but tears filled his eyes yet again
“I want to make you smile, I want to make you laugh, I want to make you mad, I want to make you frustrated with me, then i want coax you, to persuade you to forgive me, I want you to be a part of my life too Sieun, I want you to not just hover around my life but be the orbit I revolve around. I want you to become an integral part of my life, I want you to get along with my family, I want to get along with you friends, your family, for college professors, you bosses and your employees. I want to always be around you, I want you to want me around.”
“Yeon Sieun, in our previous life, I was a restless soul, a wandering warrior and you, my nagging wife, always telling me to stay safe.” Sieun scoffed but giggled at the picture I had created.
“Ahem, our three children, the eldest Bakho, restless soul like his father, but responsible like his mother, my Sieun-ie” I winked at him and Sieun just rolled his eyes but his mouth remained stuck in a bright smile, “ our second one, Gotak, seems like a toughnut but just like his mom, is quite the nurturer, and the baby of our house little Juntae, he was the apple of your eye, right honey?”
At this point Sieun had laughed himself breathless and was smacking my arm, a habit I just had found out he had when he laughed uncontrollably.
“Ahem, Ahem, now let's get serious. Then even though you nagged at me to stay safe, for your sake and mine, I lost my life in some battle. But my dear, this life is a little different, even though we have found each other, and even our children, in this life, you will never lose me, Sieun. Sieun, I will never close my eyes one day and leave you alone in this cruel world, I will always be right by your side, if … you allow me. Yeon Sieun, will you take me, Ann Suho, as your lawfully wedded husband yet again?”
I kneeled down on one knee and from my pocket fished out a box with my mothers ring in it, I opened the box and smiled at Sieun, who stood up and brushed his pants and hair. He looked at me, with a bright smile but pushed the box away.
“Let's start with being boyfriends, how am I supposed to trust someone who left me to go to some dreamland for 2 years?” But the bright smile and the twinkle in his eye said yes, yes yes a million times yes to my dramatic and over the top confession.
“Ouch!” I grasped at my heart and scrunched up my face feigning hurt yet again. Sieun threw his head and laughed, both of us held hands as we walked back to the hospital.
“How about a kiss then? Dear wife…”
“Shut up.” The red hue on his cheeks and neck said something else.
