Chapter Text

Todomatsu had assumed an awkward position to manage to carry his unconscious brother. Osomatsu's legs were awkwardly positioned around Todomatsu, ending up in a sort of backwards piggyback ride. Osomatsu's weight made it difficult for Todomatsu, as one of the if not THE weakest of the matsuno family. Either way Todomatsu pushed through, trying to ignore the darkness of night that spread around him. How late was it, again? He couldn't particularly check his phone, considering that practically his entire body's focus was keeping his brother in the air. The shadow of night that filled the streets became hard to ignore, especially since Todomatsu had to focus on his surroundings to figure out where he was and how to get home. Eventually he wandered into a street he thought he recognized, and managed to make his way in the correct direction, narrowly dodging a panic attack or two by taking breathers under streetlights.

As Todomatsu finally, finally reached the Matsuno household, he noticed the light in his brothers' room was on. Figures that they would especially notice once two were missing. Especially considering that it was the second night in a row that they had been missing, even if one had come home for a day. Whatever. That wasn't important right now, Todomatsu thought, adjusting his grip on his brother to free a hand and slide the door open. He could swear he heard his brothers shuffling around in their room as he walked up the stairs, his arms beginning to get weak from trying not to drop Osomatsu. He could barely keep his grip as he shuffled over to his room. He considered trying to open the door, but thought better of it as his arms came close to giving way, instead managing to reach out a foot to tap on the door. His brothers were awake, anyway, so it wouldn't matter too much.

The door practically slammed open the second Todomatsu made a sound. He was greeted with Choromatsu's concerned gaze, growing into a much more concerned one as he saw the state Osomatsu was in. "Oh my god, what the fuck. What the fuck," he more stated than asked. "Uh, well, um..." Todomatsu struggled for an answer, before realizing he should go with the more important facts first. "Uh, so he's not dead," He began nervously. "Well that's NICE to know. Why the fuck is he passed out." Choromatsu was basically shouting now, though otherwise he was keeping his voice stable. Hoping the neighbors weren't being woken up, Todomatsu continued. "Uh.... I'm not very sure...? I can guess that he wasn't sleeping enough, probably. I went out to find him but I got scared cause, yknow, it's dark out there, and he... found me, I guess? and then didn't seem to know what was going on and then passed out." The story seemed short and simple once it was said, but in the moment it had felt like years. "Oh. So he went out and got drunk." Choromatsu said it somewhat matter-of-factly, which seemed odd to Todomatsu because Osomatsu showed... little to no signs of having been drinking. "Probably... Not?" He muttered, not really knowing what to say. "Yeah I fucking KNOW that, I was being sarcastic! Seriously though what the fuck is wrong with you two you can't just go missing for days at a time and completely neglect your bodily needs!" Choromatsu was yelling, loud enough for anyone in the entire block to hear. "Hey!" Todomatsu cut in angrily. "I know that all of us do are guilty of this kind of thing, you included, so don't try to turn this into another chance to act like you're above us, because you're not." That seemed to shut him up, though Todomatsu didn't feel too great having said it.

Looking up, he noticed that Karamatsu, Ichimatsu, and Jyushimatsu had been watching from the couch this whole time, each looking bewildered in their own way. At least Jyushimatsu was still smiling, though it was likely just from the fact that all six of the brothers were finally in one room together again. Karamatsu seemed entirely stunned, lacking the capability to craft the complicated metaphors and symbolism he usually incorporated into his speech. And Ichimatsu didn't let on much of anything he felt, though he did look... understanding, in his own odd way. Maybe he could relate to the situation, as Todomatsu knew Ichimatsu wasn't exempt from the bad habits they all seemed to have.
