The second born nodded. "I know that... It's just..." He bit his lip. "It's kinda weird, don't you think...? Naming a... corpse..." There were more nods. It wasn’t that jarring for his brothers, hearing a slightly insensitive comment spoken amongst them. They were use to being honest to each other, and were much too young to want to keep things secret.
No one spoke his name, of course.

Summary
Osomatsu grows up an only child in a world where robots are becoming so technologically advanced and humanlike they can walk among humans undetected. He finds a comfort in the engineering of mechanics and, in his isolation, he has worked in secret on his biggest project yet throughout his high school years. Now in his twenties, his project has been finished—he’s made himself five robots, all identical to him in appearance, yet each one is equipped with special personalities and skills. This is the story of him living with his own set of robot brothers and his attempts to hide the artificial lives he has created from law enforcement who has prohibited this type of bootleg engineering. If his Artificial Brothers are found out, he may be sent to prison. Or, worse yet… all of his hard work and love could be ripped away from him.
