Chapter Text
Mob enters the building he's called home for years now through the entrance only certain people were allowed through. The moment he steps through to the penthouse, the atmosphere is strangle calm. Reigen was working on something 'important' on his computer (slither.io) with Serizawa watching him in awe (Reigen had managed to get first place and didn't seem to be losing anytime soon). Koyama and Sakurai were playing smash Bros, it had been a draw so far, so the game was starting to get slightly heated. Mob didn't want to get involved with their bickering for the 10th time this week on who is the 'ultimate smash Bros pro', so he left them alone. Finally, Muraki and Tsuchiya were having a seemingly nice conversation about their last fight against some random spirit that appeared the other day. Overall, it seemed surprisingly domestic for a worldwide team of esper heroes.
Mob makes his way over to Reigen, setting his bag down and rummaging through it for the plain looking slip of paper. Reigen, as nosy as ever, peeps his head away from his 'very important work' to see Mob.
"Hey Mob! what are you looking for?"
"Hi shishou, I'm looking for the permission slip to come here on Friday." Mob nonchalantly replies, which in turn seems to get the attention of everyone in the room.
"I'm sorry you said to come here? Why would you need permission for that?" Reigen questions, seemingly shocked and completely forgotten about his computer.
Serizawa then squeaks and the discarded snake is eaten by the other players.
"Yeah Mob, your room is down the hall, in what world would you need that for?" Koyama adds, still too focused on winning to lose his attention just yet.
Mob, who finally finds the crumpled paper, pulls it out of his bag and hands it over to Reigen. Dimple begins to deviously laugh, as Reigen's face turns from one of confusion, to something of shock and amusement. He then starts laughing along with Dimple, with his eyes beginning to tear up from laughing so much.
The others (including Mob) stare at Reigen with confusion. The man in question waves his hand for everyone to come over to see the sheer irony of this seemingly hilarious piece of paper. They read the title "FIELD TRIP TO: SPIRIT TOWER" and that's all it took for the room to burst out with laughter, everyone but Shigeo giggling from the ironic field trip the confused middle schooler will be going on.
Eventually, everyone somewhat calms down from the laughing fit, and explain to a very oblivious Shigeo Kageyama, that this is a golden opportunity to show his classmates (in Reigen's words) how great of a kid he is, and show that you know THE Reigen Arataka, Greatest Psychic of the 21st Century! Because of Reigen's (not so) great explanation, Mob realises he could show his classmates how cool and smart his shishou is!
...
Similarly to Teru, none of the Mystics have the heart to tell Mob that mostly everyone in the world does infact know this information, with Reigen being one of the most famous people in the world, and decide to let Mob stay in his little bubble.
The rest of that day goes thankfully normal for Mob, the only difference from his usual day being the new information of the field trip, which in Mob's mind won't change anything. Oh how wrong he is..
