Adam was cleaning dishes in the back when he heard the bell ring. He wipes his hands clean and heads out to welcome his next customer.
“Hello welcome to my cafe what can I get you-”
Adam freezes when he sees who just walked into the cafe.
“Hello there little lamb”
Adam looks from Valentino to the exit and he starts to walk back a bit. wishing to do nothing but run away and hide.
But….
Then Valentino flaps his wings, sending a plum of his pharamons in the air. Making Adam feel light-headed and fall on the floor.
“Not so fast lamb.”
Adam feels himself be pushed down onto the floor. He feels hands on his shoulders preventing him from getting up. He looks up and sees Valentino looking down on him with a proud smile on his face.
“I'm happy I came along with those too that day. Because thanks to them I found an absolutely adorable lamb.”
Adam starts kicking and tries to push Valentino off of him. But Valentino doesn't seem to care and just keeps talking.
“You see, my biggest star angel has started to fall from the path as of recently. So I've been looking for a new cute face to make a star for when I need to take care of him”
Adam freezes when he feels a hand going to his waist. and another to his cheek, both hands making circles.
“And when I saw you I knew you were perfect. The cute white hair, the sensitive-looking horns and the way your wings and clothes make it look like you have a small build. It's like you were made to be a star in my studio.”
Adam feels tears run down his face as he tries to kick harder. He needed Valentino off of him now.
But then he felt a hand go up his shirt and another playing with his horns.
“But as any reasonable hiring process I guess I should see firsthand how good you are so let's begin”

Adam was too much in a panic to hear the bell chime. And Valentino was too drunk off his own lust to bother to try and pay any attention.
Suddenly Valentino was ripped right off of Adam. And all Adam could do was crawl backward and cry.
Through his cries Adam can hear someone screaming about something the voice sounds familiar.
“I WANTED TO SPEND THE DAY WITH MY DAUGHTER AND HER PARTNER AND THIS IS WHAT WE WALK IN ON”
Adam starts to only hear muffled yells and the door chime. Then Adam feels a hand on his shoulder. He tries to look up to see who it is but his hair is blocking his vision.
Why didn't Adam notice his hair was a mess? How did it get like this?
Adam looks to the ground to try and calm down but not even a minute later there is a pair of black heeled boots in front of him.
They must be his savior. Adam should thank them.
Adam looks up a strand of his hair falling out of his eyes.
“Thank you so much, sir-”
Adam's whole body froze again because the man who just saved him was.
“Lucifer.”
Adam feels dread fills his soul. And his face is filled with fear. He looks to Lucifer who has a look of confusion on his face from the strange reaction. And for a minute Adam hopes to god that Lucifer doesn't recognize him but god isn’t in his favor today.
Because Lucifer shifts from confusion to analyzing to pissed.
Adam got up and started running toward the back exit but before he could even make a step toward it. Adam feels himself being pushed up against his wall with the force of a bullet.
Adam hears a scream and looks towards the direction he was in and sees Charlie standing there with a surprise on her face. And veggie in front of her spear in hand pointed towards him.
“ADAM how are you here you should be-.”
Adam takes a breath and says.
“Dead I know and if I could I would tell you but I'm as confused as you are. Now put me down so we can discuss like adults and in a more calm investment.”
“WHY SHOULD I LISTEN TO YOU-”
Before Adam could use his strings to push Lucifer They both heard someone yell.
“DAD”
Both men freeze as Charlie pushes past vaggie.
“Let's hear him out before attacking each other.”
Lucifer waits a moment before dropping Adam on the ground.
Adam takes a breath before getting up.
“Thank you. Now let's discuss the situation at hand.”

They sat in the back room drinking tea and Adam answered any questions they had. Lucifer seemed annoyed. Baggie seemed one bad answer away before cutting his head off. Well Charlie seemed slightly sympathetic and was asking fewer invasive questions.
By the end of their decision Lucifer and baggie were less annoyed. And Charlie managed to get all of the important questions out of the way. Charlie gave a small smile and said.
“So you reincarnated as a sinner and from which you tried to hide outside of the city to avoid anyone recognizing you.”
Adam took a sip of his tea and responded.
“Yes it was the most logical move to make.”
Charlie made a small noise of confusion.
“If I may ask why didn't you go to the heaven embassy to try and get back into heaven or why didn't you try to go to the hotel.”
Adam gave a small lifeless chuckle.
“Princess if I tried going back to heaven I would have either been killed again and have it be covered up or my name would be forever disgraced along with my colleagues and those I was close to in heaven. My only option was to stay in hell and let people believe I had died in the line of duty.”
All three seem taken aback by Adam's words but Adam just continues.
“And if I were to join the hotel I would have been killed on sight by one of your residents. Or people would find out I'm alive and try to seek vengeance or whatever due to the exterminations. This was the only path that would ensure my safety and security.”
Lucifer and vaggie give each other knowing looks. Well Charlie let out a little oh.
Just as Adam was about to apologize for his rudeness. Charlie gets up out of her chair with a determined look on her face.
“Well I can assure you no one will cause you any harm at the hotel. I don't forgive you for what you do but I can see you change and been through a lot these past few months so why don't you join the hotel.”
Vaggie seem like she about to protest but before she can Adam speaks.
“Sorry but I have to say no. I still don't believe in redemption and I rather stay running my cafe and making guitars in my free time. Unless I'm at risk of getting hurt I don't think I'll be joining the hotel.”
Charlie seem to deflate well vaggie seems content. But then Lucifer looks up and speaks.
“Aren’t you in danger though? That Valentino guy is a pretty powerful individual and he seemed hell-bent on getting you.”
Charlie and Vaggie seem to pause and think. Well Adam holds onto his cup and tries not to shake from the memory of that bastard.
“You’ll need protection from him and since he can’t go to the hotel that's your best bet.”
Adam thinks about it. And dang it he’s right no other place is safer than the hotel.
Charlie looked up with excitement. She got up and put her hand forward to Adam.
“Come on Adam you change so much all already. And even if you don't need to care About redemption then come with us anyways. So then you can get hurt anymore.”
Charlie smiles at him.
“Please join the hotel”
