Chapter 7

[Starts off with sd!Macaque frantically arriving to the Celestial realm to look for MK.]

“Wukong, where’s the kid?”

“The kid? Why does that-”

“Wukong, please. Where is he?”

“…Last I saw him was when we had the feast to welcome him. I’m sorry, moon.” (For disappointing you again)

“Wukong, I…I should be the one to say sorry. I shouldn’t have judged you so quickly, especially knowing how much you never liked the idea of heirs.”

“You’re…sorry?”

“I regret how I acted the way towards you; having so little faith in you. I just- after everything we’ve gone through and the rumors- those damn rumors!” (frustrated growl and then sighs) “I’m truly sorry.”

[monologue about how sd!Macaque is a truly petty being to the core who lets rumors and voices get to him, how he thought that sd!Wukong wouldn’t even think of marrying him, choosing him as his Empress]

“You...you thought I wasn't gonna marry you? Do you really think of that low of me-?” Wukong mutters.

“no! Its not-” (groans) “i...everyone, and I mean everyone, expected you to take Azure as your empress. Saying he's the better choice and how he knows he's better for the position.”

“and you believed them?”

“of course I did! I hear them every single day...I hear it and gods...I know you promised me forever but I didn't know what that entailed so I assumed-”

“you assumed the worst.”

“...I'm sorry.”

“(pulls Macaque into a tight embrace) never doubt my devotion to you. Never doubt my promise to you. Never doubt me. Please.”

“(Macaque melts into the embrace) alright, peaches...alright.”

[We cut back to MK and with Azure’s help, MK finds the royal archives and finds out about Nuwa, suddenly gets a vision of Nuwa]

“You…you’re not meant to be here.”

“What do you mean?” 

“Child, it’s not yet your time. This cycle isn’t meant to have you in it how-”

[MK suddenly gets thrown back into reality as he sees…Mei? Or at least a version of a Mei cuz this one is in a regal green and white hanfu that she obviously looks uncomfortable in. They cause chaos in the library and then also get banned from said library. While MK feels distraught cuz he genuinely wants to know more about this Nuwa person, Mei assures him that they’ll just have to sneak back in and for the second time feels a burning fire in him to go back home.] 

Chapter 8

[sd!Mei and MK have fun on an adventure, causing chaos in the Celestial Realm. sd!Mei looks like she’s kind of falling in love with MK cuz this is the first time someone treated her like a person and not some fragile princess. sd!Macaque hears of their chaos and rushes in to see laughter and honestly terrible forms thinking he’ll have to train the kid.]

[Training time! sd!Macaque plans to have MK watch him spar with sd!Peng while the brotherhood watches + some other peeps there (sd!Mei, sd!PIF, sd!Red Son, and some celestial officials), giving opportunity for Red Son to talk with MK about their engagement]

“Prince MK!”

“MK is just fine y’know.” 

“Oh how intimate, MK. But I understand, as your betrothed, it is simply natural we call each other so familiarly.”

“…I don't know which is worse, you calling me by my name or you calling me prince.”

[I don’t know which to pick so either sd!Macaque takes his armor off, making sd!Wukong drool and glare at others for drooling after his wife or sd!Wukong jumps in the fight and takes his shirt off, making sd!Macaque flustered and looking “mad” when in reality he’s just horny gripping. MK looks at this and thinks “i thought we were supposed to train” and just quietly sneaks off while the others cheer for their Empress/Emperor to beat the living shit out of their sparring partners since it’s been a while since they’ve been in action]

[MK wanders around and hears a mouthy demon lord talking shit about Macaque but this one gets a bit too personal cuz even MK is starting to get pissed off so he starts curbstomping them.]

“ What is happening here?” Wukong arrives, irritated as ever since his wife demanded that he look for their “son.”

“They slandered Macaque” 

“...”

[sd!Wukong jumps in]

[This is actually their first father-son bonding experience. Beating the shit out of the people who were mean to macaque <3]

(Wukong, midway beating the shit out of someone) “you’ve improved your form in such a short amount of time...son”

“...” 

“Anyways! Brother Ox is not letting this go so you and his heir are gonna go on a date tomorrow.” 

“What?! You called me your son and now you're throwing me to the deep end like I'm nothing?!” 

“Sorry, can’t hear you, bye!” (Wukong vanishes, dragging along the bloodied demon lord and leaving MK alone)

Chapter 9

[sd!Macaque pondering in his shared chambers with sd!Wukong who’s just laying in bed and drinking immortal wine] 

[sd!Macaque is thinking about the whole situation with MK and sd!Red Son in a political aspect as well cuz having an even closer relation with the Demon Bull Clan can surely be useful in the future, as well as providing MK with protection and stability from his suitor is the most important thing. (Not to mention sd!Red Son already proving himself to be a strong capable suitor for MK by showing his skills and status). Though he does think the whole "kidnapping as a sign of courtship" is a bit barbaric and old fashioned but he's the empress of a world where demons reign over everything so he doesn't have much say in how demon courtships are handled other than letting it happen (as much as he doesn't like it).]

“What are you thinking about?” Wukong murmurs behind him, wrapping his arms around his Empress.

“Nothing, peaches. Go back to sleep.” 

“How can I sleep when you’re not here with me?”

(laughs) “You’re such a baby.”

[Macaque goes over to their bed and imply that they are fucking]

[sd!Red Son and MK go on an impromptu date with sd!Mei crashing it] 

[MK has been shown to be skilled in art, dance, and music, all of which would make him a catch. Then he has the powers of Sun Wukong, The Emperor and Ruler of the Three Realms, and generally knows how to use them. Top it off with his compassionate and nurturing nature, pretty much anyone would see him as the perfect partner. However, despite MK’s tendency for his mind to wander on topics he has no interest in, we all know C!Pigsy would make sure his son fully understood demon courting traditions. The thing is, this whole new world has a different set of rules when it comes to demon courtship. In the canon world, demon courtship got mellowed out and tamer compared to back then in the day (so it's a lot more palatable for the humans) but in sundown world, it's still the same old kidnapping and forcing the bride the marry them, so MK is a bit confused what even sd!Red Son or sd!Mei is even trying to accomplish. They could just ask him but nooo demons and their damn traditions]

Chapter 10

[POV back in canon world]

[Mei is freaking out and is trying everything with the pendant. She goes to Tang and Pigsy but ultimately nothing. And then have Red Son appear.]

Chapter 11

This chapter is essentially just gonna be how the sundown world gets attached to MK more

[due to sd!Wukong being emperor, monkey demons ended up getting a lot of preferential treatment. Part of SD!Wukong’s duties as Emperor are to oversee the settling of certain disputes between high-ranked officials and nobles. However, since the sd!Monkey King took the throne, many have dreaded coming to him with their problems. It is an open secret that if a monkey demon comes to the emperor with claims of theft or assault, the Emperor would automatically deem the other party guilty regardless of the truth. And due to sd!Wukong’s temper, power, and history, no one would dare counter his decision.]

[Everyone, but the newly discovered prince.]

[MK wandering the halls of the palace, needing to take a walk as his brain swirled with the words on the scrolls he could barely understand in pieces. As he walks, he passes a few guards commenting on a trial scheduled later that day. Curious and needing a good distraction, he works out when it is being held. When he arrived, he saw a sweating celestial and a confident monkey demon before a bored sd!Wukong. The monkey is accusing the celestial of stealing his property, while the celestial provides papers that show they legally purchased it from that very monkey less than a month ago. As unnecessary insurance, the monkey holds documents that show the same thing reversed.]

[At first glance, both documents looked real, so it was clear who sd!Wukong would support. But just as a ruling was about to be declared, a voice called out the monkey’s pathetic attempt at trickery. The prince was revealed, eyes clearly glowing gold. Using what he learned from both c!Macque and sd!Macaque about illusions he released a short burst of power, showing that the monkey was in fact holding a blank piece of paper. This would cause Wukong to have to side with the celestial as he looked at his subject in disappointment.]

[MK’s actions were simply because what he thought was the right thing to do, but his actions granted multiple factions of hope. So MK becomes a hope to all the other demons and celestials alike that will definitely work against MK when he's trying to go back home. Just imagining everyone being desperate to have their pillar of hope for a just and fair world against the Great Ruler, and the prince plans to leave? Not on their watch.]

[The Sundown!Celestial Realm’s opinion on MK? He’s basically an infant in Celestial and Demon years, yet has proven more mature than the reigning emperor. He has tremendous power at his fingertips, but isn’t flaunting it; instead, hardly gives the impression he possesses any of them. He is far from perfect, but he knows the value of restraint and cherishes life.]

[sd!Wukong has always planned to retire sooner or later (and just dump his role to one of his sworn brothers) and just live his life with Macaque on FFM for the rest of eternity so seeing that the celestial realm is very keen on MK and are clearly vying for him to be the next to inherit the throne, he's really not gonna let his only shot of retirement also get away. (also cuz he’s bonding more with the kiddo and feels closer to him but he’s never gonna admit that.)]

[The Celestial Realm just adores MK! He's not perfect but he sure as hell tries his best and that's enough for them (also cuz he's very responsible and less destructive than his "baba"). So they will wage a war for MK to not leave their universe (cuz most of the celestials just don't want to deal with Wukong anymore).]

[MK decides to visit the Mortal Realm, to visit sd!freenoodles]

[as MK is strolling through, seeing all the similarities and differences of this world compared to his, MK sees a poster for a play. Now the play itself is fine, it’s just the…drawing of the play is the issue. A terribly drawn anime figure–with wide eyes and huge bulging muscles–is in the middle. He hears some demons gush about the play but particularly they’re holding a drawing with the great and amazing “empress style”]

“this...this is high art?” MK questions his sanity for a while. 

A random mortal replies, “absolutely! The empress values and favors the arts so his art style is truly divine!”

“it sure is...something.”

[The anime style never leaves the public's popularity mainly because its copying the empress’ drawing style. There's a book titled "how to draw like an empress" but it's actually just a "how to draw anime" book and everyone buys it. It's sold out everywhere and sometimes it gets sold at auctions for a very hefty amount of money because if this is the way that the empress draws then surely it must be a divine art style!]

[show how the world of the sundown era is just a great place to be a creative! Whether that's poetry, writing, painting, acting, and just everything else it's really viewed as a valued and important skill to have when the empress of all three realms enjoys it so much.] 

Chapter 12

[s5 stuff like the cracks in the sky largening because MK is there and his monkey form goes haywire]

[MK sees the Ivory Lady and realizes its LBD and freaks out causing his monkey form to go haywire]

[Everyone realizing that MK does look like Macaque so the whole mother thing is resolved]

Chapter 13 - 17

[Filler stuff but mainly at the end is gonna focus on how MK is being forced to marry both sd!Red Son and sd!Mei so wedding preparations and all that]

Chapter 18

[pov of canon world where they found a way to locate MK with the help of Red Son]

Chapter 19 

[pov of canon in sundown world or arriving at sundown world]

[the world is crashing down and crumbling so they race to find MK] 

[they all decide to split up so the pairs are Tang and Pigsy, Mei and Red Son, Sandy and Mo, and Wukong and Macaque]

[Macaque overhears that the celestial realm is gonna hold a wedding for the prince of all three realms]

“Uhg, Macaque! We don’t have time for gossip!”

“Shh!”

Wukong shuts up. 

“-don’t you think it’s so romantic for the Prince MK to marry not only the prince of the demon bull clan but also the princess of dragon clan?” (sighs) “Oh if only we could witness that.”

“Yes, but we all can’t occupy the celestial realm.”

“A girl can dream-” 

“…Prince MK?” Macaque mutters.  

“The kid? The kid! Macaque, let’s g- ow!” (Macaque grabs Wukong by the ear before he could run off)

“Wukong, we need to regroup and tell the others.”

“We can go to the celestial realm right now and save MK! We don’t need the others involved when-”

“When what? The celestial realm has an army-”

“That I can take. Macaque, we’ve stormed the celestial realm before, we can do it again-”

“And how did that go last time?”

“…”

“Wukong, think. We’re in a world where demons rule over humans, where you became Jade Emperor. The celestial realm probably has stronger beings than all of us combined. They probably locked MK up somewhere there where it’d be impossible to find if we just storm the place.”

“So what are you saying?”

“To sneak in, duh.”

[Mei and Red Son find MK locked up in a room wearing red and looking depressed. But before they can call to him they get bonked and then pass out]

Chapter 20

[c!Red Son and c!Mei start waking up and realized they’re being binded by immortal cables which stops the flow of their magic and strength]

"Has the prince seen them?" the other version of Red said.

"He nearly did." Other Her said, crossing her arms as her frown deepened. "I got them out of sight though."

Other Red nodded. "Good. Just stash them in the dungeon or whatever. We don't need to be stressing poor MK out before the wedding. If push comes to shove we can just kill them and dump their bodies."

[Blah blah more dialogue that i can’t think rn but basically c!dragonfruit managed to escape and sd!dragonfruit can’t let MK know that his universe’s family is here or else the entire wedding will be a failure so they just have every celestial and demon guard to find their counterparts now.]

[Wedding starts] 

[MK walking down the aisle looking miserable and angry but powerless to do anything]

A strong part of MK’s love language appears to be physical touch, as we have seen him being very tactile with those he cares about and those he wishes to be closer to. It must be incredibly difficult to restrain himself in the SD!universe, to be constantly surrounded by familiar faces that are so different from the ones he grew up with and fought alongside. No matter how much he tries to see these people as their own individuals, he just can't shake how wrong they feel.

MK is so affectionate with people he cares about but he can't bring himself to be like that to people who wear the faces of his family but are complete strangers to him.

As much as he's treated with respect and can get whatever he wants in this new world, it's not his world.

So as soon as he sees his actual family, then he can give Pigsy and Tang their hugs, can hold Mei's hand, can put an arm around Red Son's shoulder, can perch on top Wukong and Macaque. Only then will he be affectionate again.

And this definitely shocks everyone in the sundown world, thinking they can win over MK and have him when in reality he was always holding himself back.

c!gang is here to stop the wedding 

[full scale war stuff happening] 

Upon C!Wukong’s appearance, SD!Wukong is quick to dub him the lesser version given everything he lost. Yet as the two of them are glaring at one another, it is C!Wukong’s shoulders that MK perches on. A simple action, but its execution is what makes it impactful. C!Wukong doesn’t react aside to make sure the kid is secure. There is such trust and comfort in each other’s presence, something MK never showed with the Emperor or even SD!Macaque.

ENDING

Honestly guys i only have a vague idea for this ending which is MK convincing the sd!world to stop this war and finally be able to go back to his world but not before hugging sd!shadowpeach cuz he knows that they just want a son to call their own. Then i was gonna allude to sd!MK finally being born in some far off mountain. And that’s the ending. 

All the plotholes that you see in this outline? Yeah, you’re gonna have to think around it for it to work cuz i’m officially done with this!

Arc 1: MK getting introduced to Sundown World 

Arc 2: MK’s not so very good day

• s5 stuff like the cracks in the sky largening because MK is there and his monkey form goes haywire
• Everyone realizing that MK does look like Macaque so the whole mother thing is resolved
• Nuwa appears???

Arc 3: sd!dragonfruit force MK to marry them while the world is slowly getting torn and c!gang basically stops that and MK goes back home

Worldbuilding:

• With Wukong as the ruler, he favored demons above all else as such demons run amok the mortal realm 
• The demon kings who became sworn brothers with wukong have a seat in the celestial realm and are considered to be the top ranking demons
  • So people know to not fuck with them if u ever see their emblem or insignia 
  • Territories among the demon kings are divided and stated so everyone is hella territorial in this dimension since something as illegal crossing can cause a war between the two kingdoms 
• The gods and other deities of the celestial realm still reside there but things are tense between their ruler and them considering he favors demons more 
  • Macaque actually is the one to bridge the gap between wukong and the deities 
  • Also cuz he's tired from all the war that Wukong has to wage and just wants to cuddle with his hubby 
  • Most deities are still scared of wukong but they learned to respect him as a ruler considering he managed to defeat the entire heavenly army all on his own 
  • Some gods are still resentful towards wukong (especially erlang) 
• Demons don't need to have a human form so most demons look very demonic and scarier  
  • Pigsy is bigger and has those hog fangs
    • He still has his noodle shop but isn't considered to be that high in terms of demon ranking as he's not royalty or shit 
    • But his restaurant and influence is really big as a lot of high ranking demons eat/order there 
    • Friends with Chang'e 
  • Sandy is the same as ever tbh 
• Humans are considered 3rd class citizens and are treated cruelly by the rest of society 
  • Humans used to get hunted for food but now they're more of slaves 
  • Tang ends up with Pigsy but he works at the noodle restaurant 
    • Used to be a slave of some demon who was hella abusive but managed to run away 
    • On a stormy night he hid behind a dumpster of some restaurant and from all the exhaustion passed out there and Pigsy found him 
    • He felt pity so he took him in and he gave him a job as a waiter 
    • Tang still has some bit of trauma and expected Pigsy to hit him when he makes a mistake or eats some food but Pigsy is kind but just shouts a lot
    • They fall in love 
• It's possible for a demon and a human to marry but it's looked down upon
  • If a demon does take a human as a lover they usually end up being a concubine rather than a bride/groom 
  • A baby from a human and demon are also looked down upon 
    • Derogatorily gets called half breeds and mistakes or abominations
    • Also has a higher chance of getting eaten
  • Tang and Pigsy wants to get married but knowing that Pigsy's restaurant is at stake here Tang rejects Pigsy's proposal 
    • Tang knows that Pigsy's restaurant will be ruined if demon society found out that it's chef/founder married a human 
• Demon society has moved on from eating other demons, humans, and half breeds cuz it ain't trendy anymore but some demons still practice it 
  • It's usually cuz they think they can get powerful if they eat other beings
• The celestial, mortal/demon realm expected Sun Wukong to already have an heir but so far there's none 
  • • They understand that Wukong is immortal therefore doesn't need an heir but considering he's practically a demon, everyone expected his instincts to want an heir to surpass him 
    • Macaque is also wondering why Wukong hasn't tried for an heir and when he asked, wukong laughed 

What's so funny?

*Laughs a bit cruelly* an heir? Me?! 

And what about it? 

Moonlight, I don't need an heir. I can hardly take care of the baby monkeys at Flower Fruit Mountain. 

No wonder you always dump babysitting duty on me. 

Foiled my plan again, my clever shadow.  Besides, I already have everything right here *holds Mac close* 

…

…Do you want a cub? 

I…I don't know…do you think we'll be good parents? 

I think you'd be a wonderful dad to our kid. Me? Not so much. I doubt I'll be a good father. 

Where did you get that idea? 

Well, I just can't imagine myself having to take care- nurture someone as my own. I can lead armies, I can destroy kingdoms and valleys, I can make everyone cower before me. But being a father? That's something I don't think I'll ever be ready for. 

…

I already have you. And that's enough for me. 

…Ok. *Looks away in deep thought then looks at swk with a small smile* Ok. 

• (Macaque didn't stay with swk for a week after that conversation saying he's busy tending his duties when in reality he stayed with PIF)
• Wukong wasn't really bothered by it cuz Mac can do whatever he wants granted it's reasonable and safe
