Chapter Text

"This is small time shit, I'll bet fifty bucks the Bat wouldn't bother with us, there's supervillains out there doin' worse shit than we are." A thug said to his friend as he took a drag of his cigarette.

"You better hope you're right, I got alot riding on this. Where's the supplier anyway? He's late!" The other thug said displeased.

It was the middle of the night in a random Gotham City alleyway. The moon and the city lights making it not nearly as dark in most places, but the alleyways were a different story.

Just then a truck pulled up to the two men and stopped.

A man in a cheap suit stepped out of the passenger side as three more men got out of the side door.

"You the supplier?" One thug said to him.

"And circle gets the square. Sure you aren't a detective?" The man in the suit grinned and revealed a gold tooth.

"I ain't got time for this shit." The other thug blurted out.

"Relax gentlemen, I'm the one you've been waiting for." The man in the suit explained rubbing his hands together. "Boys, get the stuff."

He snapped his fingers and the three men with him went to the back of the truck, opening it up and bringing several crates over with them.

"You gents got the money?" The man questioned.

"We gotta see the stuff first." One thug said.

The man in the suit nodded his head lightly to one of his men who opened a crate with a crowbar.

The inside of the crate contained dozens of vials of an unknown drug.

"So? Do we have a deal?" The man in the suit grinned.

"Yeah, our boss is interested. We'll take it." One thug stated.

"That's all I needed to hear."

The men all turned towards the darkness where a voice emerged from.

"It's the Bat!" One thug shouted.

Out of the darkness stepped Robin.

"Relax, it's just one of his brats." The man in the suit chuckled as he calmly lit a cigarette. "Take him out boys."

The three men from the truck brandished weaponry, two bats and a crowbar. The man from the driver's side got out and joined them with a crowbar of his own.

"Fine. It's your funeral." Robin said as the men charged at him.

A crowbar came swinging at Robin's head at high speed, an easy thing for him to dodge. He crouched slightly, the crowbar barely missing his head.

He spun and swept the legs of the thug, knocking him hard to the ground.

Just as the first thug fell a bat came from the other direction.

Robin leapt into the air, clearing the bat's swing and twirling to kick the thug wielding it in the head.

Upon landing Robin threw two bolas at the remaining two thugs, tying them up and causing them to fall over.

The man in the suit groaned. "What in the fuck do I pay you guys for. My fucking grandmother could do a better job and she's dead!"

The man turned to the two thugs not employed by him. "Are you two going to do anything?"

The two thugs shook their heads and tried to run.

"Unbelieveable." The man said as he took a drag from his cigarette.

Just then a sound was heard and the man turned to see Robin grappling up towards the roof of the building.

"You owe me fifty bucks." One thug said as he ran.

"Nuh-uh, this ain't the Bat this is the Bird." The other said.

Robin let go of his grapple in midair and launched into a glide towards the men.

He landed on one of their heads and used it as a boost to jump and tackle the other to the ground.

The man in the suit started clapping sarcastically. "Well done kid, I'm impressed really. For somebody who's probably still a pup to have that kind of skill."

Robin started walking silently towards the man.

"Kid I think you'll find that I'm not a pushover like these idiots." The man suddenly pulled a gun from his jacket. "I also come more prepared."

As he looked back over to Robin he found he was no longer there. Just then a batarang flew out of the shadows and hit the man's hand, knocking the gun from it and causing it to slide under a nearby dumpster.

"Agh dammit! You're getting on my last nerve you little brat!" The man exclaimed as he retrieved a knife from a holster on his ankle.

Robin emerged from the shadows again and withdrew a sword from a sheath on his back.

"Mine's bigger." Robin said with a smirk.

"It's not about size brat." The man fumed.

"You're correct." Robin said as he took a fighting stance. "It's how skilled you are in using it."

Robin flew at the man with blinding speed, overwhelming him and kicking the knife from his hand.

Robin then spun and hit the man in the jaw with the hilt of his sword, knocking out his gold tooth and sending him spiraling to the ground.

Robin turned the man over to his back and crouched over him, pressing his sword to his throat. "Where are you manufacturing this drug?"

"Hehehe, you're too inexperienced if you think I'm gonna rat just cause you threaten me." The man laughed as he spit blood to his side.

"Fine." Robin said before punching the man and knocking him out.

It was another typical night of patrol for Damian Al-Ghul Wayne, A.K.A Robin.

But little did he know, that this night would kick off a chain of events that would change his life forever.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

After Damian got back from patrol he took a shower and changed into his pyjamas.

He put a vial he had taken from the drug deal to analyze at the batcomputer before heading upstairs.

It was late at night, but he wasn't the last to get in from patrol.

As he was walking towards the room in the mansion he could smell a sweet scent in the air.

"Ugh." Damian groaned. He knew what that smell meant, one or more of his siblings had gone into heat. And that meant only one thing for him.

He tried to sneak past the den where the family nesting area was but when your entire family are also masters of stealth that's trickier than one would think.

"Damiiiii." Someone chirped from the den. "Cmereeeee."

Damian sighed as he gave up hope of sleeping alone tonight and entered the den.

He found Jason, Stephanie and Tim curled up together in the nest.

"Hey there he is." Jason said cheerfully. "Come lay with us."

"I'd rather not." Damian grumbled.

"Come on puppy, it's so warm and cozy." Tim purred.

Damian growled lightly.

"Please babybat." Steph keened as she looked at Damian with wide eyes.

Damian finally relented and crawled into the nest with them. For some reason he always had trouble saying no to Steph, everybody did.

His siblings took turns scenting him and hugging him before they laid down in a big pile, contentedly purring.

Damian was frustrated still but the scenting did calm him down.

It wasn't even that he disliked nesting, he enjoyed it once he started to trust everyone. But he was fourteen years old and didn't enjoy being treated as a child.

Soon he would present as an Alpha and be able to command more respect around the manor.

As he finished his thought Jason pulled him closer to snuggle, trapping him between his strong arms.

It was strange at first when Jason had come back to the pack, but Damian respected Jason a fair bit. His lack of tolerance for bullshit gave them something in common.

Damian found himself getting further lost in thoughts before gradually falling asleep.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Damian awoke quite early for how late he got home. He took his usual early rising as a further sign of his future designation as an Alpha. Omega's slept alot after all.

He slowly got out of bed as to not wake his siblings and went to the kitchen where he found Alfred making breakfast.

"Good morning Master Damian." Alfred said with a cheery disposition.

"Good morning Alfred." Damian said as he took a drink from the fridge and sat at the table.

"Sleep well?" Alfred asked as he flipped the French toast he was making in the pan.

"As well as I could being crushed by Todd's death grip." Damian groaned.

Alfred chuckled.

"I wouldn't even mind the nesting as much if they didn't treat me like a child." Damian grumbled as he rested his head on his hands.

"Well you know Master Damian." Alfred started to say as he put a plate of French toast in front of Damian. "You do happen to be a child."

"It's not about that, it's about respect."

"Your family respect you a great deal." Alfred said as he took the seat next to Damian. "It isn't about disrespecting you, it's about showing you affection and making sure you know they care."

"Still, once I present that treatment will come to an end." Damian stated as he took a bite of French toast.

"We shall see." Alfred smiled warmly.

---------------------------------------‐----------------------------------

After finishing breakfast Damian wandered down to the batcave to check on the analysis of the vial he got last night. The analysis of the drug wouldn't be finished until that night.

Damian decided to research the man in the suit he had fought last night to see if that showed any promising results.

He found out that the man frequently visited a warehouse at the docks in Penguin's territory.

Damian decided he would check it out tonight and went to train for the rest of the day.

"Hey babybat." A voice said from behind Damian.

Only two people were allowed to call Damian that, and since Steph was asleep upstairs that meant it was...

"Grayson." Damian said plainly.

"What is that any way to greet your favorite big brother when he comes to visit?" Dick whined.

"As you can see I'm busy. If you'd like somebody to fawn over the other Omegas are upstairs in the den."

Dick was disappointed at his little brother's cavalier attitude towards Omegas, likely drilled into him during his time with the Leage of Shadows.

He was also disappointed with his little brother's lack of joy at seeing him. It felt like they had grown distant since Dick had moved in with Wally a year ago.

"Alright, I'll talk to you later then." Dick said despondent before heading upstairs.

Dick ran into Bruce as he got into the Manor.

"Hey Bruce!" Dick beamed as he gave his adoptive father a hug.

"Hey Dick, good to see you, how's Wally?" Bruce asked as he returned the hug in kind.

"He's good, he'll be over tonight for dinner I hope that's okay." Dick said meekly.

"Dick you're twenty-eight years old and Wally is thirty. You've basically been joined at the hip for half of your lives. At this point he's basically another son to me." Bruce reassured him.

Dick smiled as a joyful squeak came from further down the hall.

"Dick!!" Steph squealed as she practically tackled her older brother.

"Steph!" Dick regained his footing and hugged her back.

"What's with the sudden visit?" Steph asked joyfully as she continued burying her face in Dick's chest.

"Wally and I just wanted to spend some time with you all, it's been awhile since we visited together for non-work related reasons." Dick smiled and ruffled Steph's hair.

"Hmm, is that why Barbara is also coming over I wonder?" Bruce laughed, knowing Dick had a reason for getting the whole family together for dinner but didn't want to ruin the surprise.

"Any idea why Damian is in a bad mood?" Dick asked them both.

Steph stepped away from Dick before scratching her head slightly. "Welllll, Jason, Tim and I mayyy have dragged him into the den to snuggle last night."

Bruce shook his head and laughed.

"Well he should be used to it by now." Dick grumbled. "Besides he seemed even standoffish to me. He also made a comment about Omegas that I wasn't fond of."

Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose. "That's Talia's fault, or more accurately her father. They raised Damian to be an heir to the League of Shadows and they value Alphas above all else."

"You'd think four years with us would've softened that attitude." Steph said crossing her arms.

"Actually it has, he used to be alot worse. It's mostly internalized now, but I worry what'll happen when he starts dating, or when he presents." Bruce said concerned.

"Let's just keep an eye on him and take it one day at a time." Dick put his hand on Bruce's shoulder. "But right now I'm going to go say my hellos to everyone else."

Dick went to leave and Steph decided to join him.

Bruce decided to head down to the Batcave where Damian was still training to have a chat.

"Hey Damian." Bruce said as he entered the small gym adjacent to the Batcave.

"Hello Father." Damian replied flatly, not taking his eyes off what he was doing.

"Any plans for tonight?" Bruce asked trying to steer the conversation.

"I'm conducting an investigation later." Damian said as he continued swinging at the punching bag in front of him.

"Well just be sure not to miss dinner, I know Dick really wants the whole family there." Bruce said before leaving Damian to his training.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was early in the evening, only seven but it was already fully dark out. Gotham City's Autumn may as well be Winter without snow so the darkness isn't surprising.

Damian stood on a rooftop overlooking the docks, observing the warehouse he found out about with his binoculars.

It looked almost abandoned but he could see a few men outside guarding the place.

Suddenly his comm link chirped.

"Robin? You there?" Tim asked.

"Yes. What is it?" Damian replied.

"You're supposed to be home now you know. Nightwing wants everyone home for dinner."

"Tell him I'm busy with something more important than family dinner. Going radio silent." Damian pressed a small button on his comm and it went quiet.

Damian swiftly took out the guards around the outside of the building before making his way inside.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tim sighed as he put down his comm link next to the Batcomputer.

"No luck?" Jason asked approaching where Tim was sitting.

"Nope. Said he was busy." Tim said dejected.

Just then a chime from the Batcomputer rang and the analysis for the drug Damian had been analyzing appeared on the screen.

"What's that?" Jason asked as he stepped up to the computer screen.

"It's a drug, experimental and new but I've heard of it." Tim started to say. "It's meant to trigger heats in Omegas or Omega pups who haven't presented yet."

"Probably used in trafficking." Jason growled.

"Think this is what he's busy with?" Tim turned to Jason with concern in his eyes.

"He'll be fine, he's tougher than any of us were at his age." Jason reassured Tim.

Jason and Tim headed upstairs to join the others at the dinner table.

"Hey Dickie where's your Alpha?" Jason joked as he walked into the dining room.

"Behind you." Jason jumped slightly as Wally scared him by appearing from behind.

"That's what you get for calling me that!" Dick laughed. "I had to get Wally to give up that nickname after you started up with it."

Everyone settled in at the table. At the head of the table was Bruce. On his right was Dick, followed by Wally, then Steph and her girlfriend Cass.

On Bruce's left was Barbara, followed by her girlfriend Alysia, then Jason and Tim. Then Alfred after that. At the end of the table on Dick's side was an empty spot where Damian should be.

"Alright Dick I know you didn't drag us all here for old times sake. What's your announcement?" Barbara smirked.

"I don't want to say anything until Damian gets here, it's not fair." Dick stated.

"I doubt he's coming, he told me it wasn't as important as what he was doing." Tim explained.

Dick sunk down in his chair a little bit when he said that causing Tim to feel a little bad.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Damian was infiltrating the warehouse, fighting thug after thug when he came to a room with several hundred crates identical to the ones he found last night.

"I figured one of you Bat-Brats would be here before too long."

Damian turned to see a man standing with several men who all looked like soldiers.

"Get him." The man ordered and his soldiers sprung into action.

Damian managed to take them down but not without difficulty. They were nothing compared to League of Shadows Assassins he had fought in the past. But they were a few steps above the typical thugs he was used to now.

After finishing off the last soldier he started to try and get information.

"What's the purpose of this drug?" Damian barked.

"I would love to tell you kid." The leader said as one of his soldiers lying on the ground jabbed a needle into Damian's leg. "But I'd much rather show you."

Damian kicked the soldier, knocking him out and then pulling the needle out of his leg.

"That kid, is a heat inducing drug, so potent it can even induce heat into Omegas who haven't presented yet." The man said confident and pleased with himself.

"I hate to be the one to tell you but I'm an Alpha." Damian said with his own smirk of confidence.

"Oh yeah? Then tell me why your knees are wobbling."

Damian looked down to see that his knees were in fact wobbling, and as he looked down his head started to get dizzy. He felt a pit of heat welling up in his abdomen and spreading throughout his body like fire.

"No no no no no." Damian panicked.

Damian threw down a smoke bomb and barely managed to escape, he was no longer in any condition to fight that man.

Damian was so confused, how could this drug be affecting him? He was an Alpha, his parents were Alphas, he was raised as an Alpha.

He had to get somewhere safe and secret to figure this out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was eleven o'clock, dinner had been over for hours but everybody had been waiting around the Manor for Damian to arrive.

"Alright I think it's about time we call it." Jason said frankly.

"We can't yet!" Wally shouted.

"Look I know it's important but it's fine, if Damian doesn't want to be here that's okay." Dick said sadly as he stared at the floor. "We made everyone wait long enough."

Dick gathered everyone in the dining room again to make his announcement when Cass and Steph came into the room worried.

"Damian's tracker has gone offline." Cass stated.

"What!?" Dick jumped up from his chair.

The Batfamily all sprang into action. In minutes they were all suited up and taking different sections of the city to search.

"Dick you should stay behind." Wally tried to convince his mate.

"No! He's my little brother, I don't care what happens to me I have to help him!" Dick declared angrily.

"Dick. Please." Wally pleaded with Dick, practically on the verge of tears.

Everyone thought Wally was just being dramatic but they weren't sure why he wanted him to stay behind anyway.

"You know, he doesn't have a bad point." Barbara chimed in. "If Damian comes back to the Manor and nobody is here that wouldn't be great."

The combination of Wally's begging and Barbara's argument Dick conceded. Even though Alfred and Alysia would still be here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

After waiting an hour Dick was starting to get impatient.

"I can't stand this! I should be out there." Dick complained as he paced back and forth.

"Yeah but your entire family is on it. And there's alot of them." Alysia laughed. "They can handle it, he'll be fine."

"There's one place I have to look at least." Dick remarked.

"Where's that?"

"It's one of my old safehouses. It borders Bludhaven and Gotham and its very close to where Damian's tracker went dark."

Dick groaned. "But Wally took my keys to all of the vehicles."

"Well, he doesn't have all the keys." Alysia said as she dangled the keys to her car in her hand.

"Wow, I'm suprised at you." Dick smirked. "Didn't know Babs was dating a rebel."

"As long as we're back before they are then they'll never know."

Dick and Alysia got into her car and took off towards the safe house.

"Godspeed Master Dick." Alfred said as he watched them leave the driveway from the upstairs window.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Damian could barely function. He nearly didn't make it to the safehouse.

His whole body felt like it was on fire. His abdomen was cramping. His head was swimming.

And despite it all he couldn't stop the endless stream of thoughts, of confusion, sadness, denial, and anger that he was experiencing.

It felt like he was laying there forever before he could hear the door to the safehouse jingle as someone fiddled with the lock.

He readied himself for combat and raised his sword, despite the fact that he was laying on the floor and could barely see.

The door opened and he couldn't see who entered the room but assumed it was an intruder.

Damian tried to stand up but fell back to the floor.

"Whoa there babybat, don't hurt yourself."

Damian still couldn't see but he recognized the voice and the nickname. It was Dick.

Dick knelt down in front of Damian who lowered his guard slightly.

"What's wrong?" Dick asked concerned.

"It's nothing, just an allergic reaction." Damian barely managed to squawk out.

Dick made a noise of disbelief. He reached down and removed the domino from Damian's eyes and could see that his pupils were very dilated.

"Damian were you drugged?" Dick sounded shocked.

"It's nothing, just a bad reaction, not the drugs normal effects."

"Damian, we saw the analysis of the drug on the Batcomputer. It's a drug that induces heat in Omegas or unpresented Omega pups." Dick said as he moved closer.

"I think you're in heat."

"No!" Damian growled. He couldn't be in heat, he was an Alpha.

Dick reached forward and peeled one of Damian's scent blockers off slightly and was taken aback by the scent of peaches.

"Dami, you're in heat, we have to get you home." Dick tried to convince him.

"No! I can't go home like this, it's humiliating. I'm an Alpha I shouldn't be having these problems." Damian barked at Dick as he recoiled away from him but was stopped by the bed behind him.

Dick slowly came over and sat down next to Damian and hugged him.

"It's okay baby boy." Dick cooed. "It'll all be okay, I promise."

Damian started to cry, his frustration and pain and sadness finally hit their immense breaking point.

"I'm just glad you're safe, you're very important to all of us." Dick purred. "The whole family is out looking for you."

Damian seemed suprised at that news, like he didn't expect anyone to look for him.

"Come on, let's go home and get that drug out of your system okay?" Dick said, not acknowledging his little brother's heat anymore.

He picked him up and wrapped a blanket around him before bringing him out to Alysia's car and getting in the backseat while holding him.

"Hey you got him!" She said triumphant. "He okay?"

"He will be. Let's just get back to the Manor." Dick said as he held Damian close to him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

They got back to the Manor and Alfred took the responsibility of calling the others to let them know they'd found Damian. Alysia meanwhile was in charge of grabbing some things for Dick.

Dick was still carrying Damian. "You want to go to the den?" Dick asked him.

Damian shrugged.

"You want to go to your room?"

Damian nodded into Dick's chest.

Dick took him to his room and changed him out of his Robin costume.

Normally Damian wouldn't allow anyone to see him naked. But he knew there wasn't arguing with his Pack Omega.

The air felt particularly cold against Damian's butt. "Am I wet?"

"Yup, it's slick buddy, here's a towel to wipe off."

Damian wiped himself off and wrapped the towel around his waist to cover himself.

"Put these on." Dick said as he handed Damian a pair of Heat Underwear.

Damian tried to change but his lack of balance from his heat caused him to fall over.

Damian sobbed in frustration. "Look at me, I'm useless, I can't even get dressed on my own."

"Hey baby boy, it's okay. It's not a sign of weakness to need help." Dick soothed him as he helped him stand and get changed.

Damian had finally been changed into his pyjamas. "There we go, that's better yeah?" Dick asked and Damian nodded slightly.

Alysia knocked at the door and Dick met her there and grabbed the supplies he had asked for. He didn't allow her in, wanting to give Damian as much space as possible, which she understood completely as a fellow Omega.

Dick changed into his own pyjamas and held out a bottle of water.

"Drink please." Dick asked as he held out the bottle.

Damian stared at it from his spot standing in the middle of the room as Dick was sat on the bed.

Dick patted his lap with his free hand. "Cmere."

Damian did as he was asked and came over to Dick, who picked him up and pulled him into the bed with him. Dick laid Damian down in his lap, resting his head against Dick's arm.

Dick opened the bottle of water and brought it to Damian's mouth. "Drink." He said.

Damian drank a little at first then started almost inhaling the water as he was thirstier than he realized.

Once he finished he looked up and saw Dick smiling at him with a warm smile. It reminded him of when he was little and his mother would hold him.

With his current volatile emotional state and memory of a childhood he barely got to have Damian found himself tearing up again.

Dick changed their positions so they were both lying down and Damian was resting his head against Dick's chest. "Shh shh shh. It's okay babybat. I'm here, you're okay."

Damian found Dick's words soothing and calmed down some.

After they laid there for awhile Damian spoke up.

"Thank you Dick."

"It's nothing, don't mention it." Dick said as he pet Damian's hair.

"I'm sorry I missed your dinner." Damian said meekly into Dick's chest.

"It's okay, I know you didn't mean anything by it." Dick said calmly. "You wanna know the reason I wanted us all to have dinner tonight?"

Damian made a noise that sounded curious in nature.

"Wally and I had some news for everybody. We wanted to tell the family that I'm pregnant." Dick beamed.

Damian sat up slightly and looked at Dick in confusion for a moment.

After pondering for a moment, Damian settled himself back down onto Dick's chest and let out a small sigh of contentment.

"I can't imagine how the others reacted." Damian joked.

"I didn't tell them, you didn't come to dinner remember?" Dick laughed.

"Oh that's going to be fun." Damian smirked.

"Yeah it will be." Dick chuckled as he continued to pet Damian's hair. "For now though you need some sleep."

Dick pulled a big warm blanket over the top of them and Damian snuggled in, putting his ear over Dick's chest, listening to his heartbeat.

"I think you'll make an excellent mother Grayson." Damian said quietly.

Dick smiled and gave Damian a kiss on the head before they both fell asleep.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You're what!?"

Jason was the one to have the biggest reaction.

"Frankly I'm suprised it didn't happen sooner." Barbara laughed. "You two have been dating as long as I've known either of you and Wally has alot of stamina from what I hear."

Jason, Tim and Steph nearly fell over laughing at Barbara's comment.

Cass was standing next to Bruce and started staring at his head before reaching up and plucking a small hair from his head.

"Ow! Cass what was that for?" Bruce said.

"I found a gray hair." Cass declared as she held it up for everyone to see.

"Hahaha, did you grow that in the last five minutes Gramps?" The rest of the room laughed uproariously at Jason's comment.

"Everyone else's jokes aside." Bruce said as he glared at Jason. "I'm so happy for you both."

"Whoa Bruce keep it together, don't need any huge crying fits or anything." Wally joked.

After everyone had settled down and gone their separate ways for the day, Dick, Damian and Bruce gathered in Bruce's study.

"So that's every single Robin now." Dick laughed.

"You're okay then Damian?" Bruce said solemnly as he looked at his youngest.

"Yes. I'm sorry for disappointing you Father." Damian remarked.

"You disappointed me by running away, not by being an Omega." Bruce said as he put a hand on Damian's head. "In a house half full of Omega's I would think you'd know better by now."

"We'll always love you babybat, no matter what." Dick came over and pulled Bruce and Damian into a hug.

Damian's life was indeed changed forever, not remotely in the way he had thought, but he was very happy with things like this.

Notes:

Hope you enjoyed this! I didn't plan it initially but really this story is also low-key Dick's journey into becoming the Pack Omega and a mother.

Any thoughts or comments you want to leave are greatly appreciated :3

Notes:

Chapter one is the shortest of these, the others will be longer but don't worry, Dick is still a feature character ;3
