“Uncle Javi, look at my boo boos.” Aurora sat on the couch beside him holding her nightgown.
“I don’t see a boo boo. Are you hurt?”
She points to her chest. “My boo boos, like mommy.”
Boone spit his beer out. “Her what!”
“My little boo boos. Mine are small but mommy has big boo boos and daddy has specs.”
“Specs?”
“Yeah specs.” She walked over to Boone, who was shirtless, and pointed towards his nipples. “See Uncle Boo, you have specs too.”
Javi rolled his eyes. “You should probably put a shirt on before this gets any weirder.”
“Right. Aurora, I think you mean pecks.”
“Same thing.” She giggled and got her gown on before dancing around the room while holding her bear.

“Uncle Boo! I need help!” Aurora yelled from the bathroom.
No response.
“I need help NOW!” She screamed louder.
Javi finally walked in there. “Aurora, is all the screaming necessary?”
“I can’t find the toilet paper, and I need to wipe my butt.”
He shook his head and pointed behind her. “It’s right there kid.”
“Oh, silly me.” She giggled.
“Are you good now?”
“Yeah.”
Javi shook his head and left her alone.
“Oh stanky.” She got poop on her hands and started freaking out, but afraid of yelling for her uncle again. Instead, she started by wiping the smelly substance on the wall beside the toilet paper. Then realizing she can draw with it, sketches a smiley face on the wall. “My art is beautiful.”
Finally, she washed her hands and left the bathroom. Javi tucked her in and gave her a goodnight kiss on her head. “Night Uncle Javi.”
“Goodnight sweet girl.”
He closed the door and went to relax on the couch with Boone.
“Gotta take a piss be right back.” Boone walked away towards the bathroom. The moment the light came on, Javi heard a loud, “WHAT THE FUCK!” And rushed to his side.
“Hey, take it easy man you don’t wanna wake—the hell is this?”
“Smells like shit.”
“On the wall, in the form of a smiley face, oh god.”
“The kids asleep, or else I’d make her clean it up.”
“Should we leave it!” Javi smacked him. “Sure, one day someone’s gonna want to purchase the wall as a masterpiece.”
“Seriously? A poop master? I love this!”
Javi rolled his eyes. “No dummy, now let’s get this cleaned up.” He grabbed his phone and snapped a pic.
Javi- Will you tell your daughter that my walls are not for painting poop masterpieces?
Kate- say what now? What’s a poop masterpiece?
Javi- it’s shit on the wall, literal shit in the form of a smiley face
Kate- she must really love her uncles as she has never done that before at home
Javi grabbed a pair of latex gloves and walked back into the bathroom. Boone grinned, “oh we are playing doctor tonight?” He rolled his eyes.
“No, I’m cleaning this shit up. It’s nasty.”
“Right, then we can be naughty.”
As he cleaned, Javi chuckled. “Boone has anyone ever told you that you are a child at heart?”
“Yeah you. It’s what keeps me young.”
Javi kissed him. “I love you Boone.”

Aurora came running into the bedroom the next morning bright and early at 7am. She pounced on the bed on top of Boone.
“Uncle Boo! Wakey wakey!”
He groaned, “why!”
“Because the sky is awake, so I’m awake.”
Javi opened one eye and grumbled, “did she really just quote Frozen?”
“Yep.”
“What’s wrong with Frozen? It’s so cool! Daddy says we will build Olaf sometime when it snows.”
“Sounds exciting.” Javi said sarcastically.
She began shaking them and jumping up and down. “Come on let’s go eat! I’m starved and you don’t want me to tell daddy that I’m hangry. Daddy says that’s a monster when it happens so feed me?”
They chuckled; this kid was full of it. “Alright come on.”
While eating fruit loops, Aurora decided to be random again. “Uncle Boo, do you bleed out of your butt?”
“Huh?”
“You know bleed out of your booty.”
Javi nearly spit out his coffee. “Why are you asking this Aurora?”
“I don’t know I curious because this one time I go to potty with mommy, and she was bleeding from her butt.”
Boone started choking on his cereal. “Oh god.”
Javi moved beside her, “Aurora sweetheart, that’s a mommy thing. Us guys don’t do that.”
“Except for hemorrhoids.” Boone muttered.
“What’s a retinoid?” She looked up.
Javi pats the top of her head. “Don’t worry about it you are too young.”
“I four I be five next.”
Tyler knocked on the door and walked inside the apartment.
“Daddy!” She rushed over and hugged him.
“So how was the visit?”
“I had fun. I taught Uncle Boo all about your specs and I draw art with my poop and then shared how mommy has a thing called retinoids.”
Tyler gave them a look, “dare I ask about the poop art?”
Boone chuckled, “just tell her never do it again.”
“Aurora it’s not lady like to do that; we do not play with our feces.”
“I sorry daddy but it was the only way to get it off my hands.”
“The kid has a valid point. However, Aurora, why did you not just wash your hands in the sink?”
“Too complicated daddy.”
Everyone chuckled.
“So, Owens how is Kate?”
“Moody, pregnant, you know how it is. I’m not ready for the nesting phase.”
Boone had a confused look on his face, “wait, nesting? I thought only birds did that. Why would Kate need a nest?”
Javi smacked him. “Not a literal nest Boone, her home is her nest. It’s where a pregnant woman cleans and rearranges everything until she feels it perfect for her baby.”
“Oh Lawd T. Good luck with that.”
“Come on Aurora say bye.”
“Bye Uncle Boo and Javi!” She waved as Tyler walked with her to the truck. “Daddy, can I get a happy meal?”
Boone smiled, “she’s a cute kid. I love her.”
“Me too bud.”
