Chapter Text
Surprisingly it is Seokjin, who doesn't cry easily.
He doesn't cry when Namjoon finally confesses after staring a tad to intently at him during class. Neither does he cry when the police officer tells him about his deceased father, nor throughout the latter's funeral. He doesn't cry when he notices how his little brother Taehyung only wears long sleeved shirts, even when the thermometer reaches 30°C. Soekjin doesn't cry when Taehyung finally wears a genuine smile and a t-shirt, which shows his fading battle scars.
It's not Soekjin crying when Namjoon comes home with a beaten up puppy from the streets with a missing paw. He doesn't even cry while crawling out of the completely crashed car with a broken wrist, leg and a slight concussion.
It's not when Soekjin wakes up the next morning and notices the lack of warmth on his body. No tears are shed when he opens his eyes and finally registers the beeping noise next to his ear. He can even successfully hold the tears back when everything comes all crashing down on him, the memories of the accident. It happens the moment Soekjin remembers the picture of Namjoon's body and the way the doctor covered his face with the blanket so clearly that one could confuse the inner image for reality. This is the moment Kim Soekjin breaks completely and sobs so hard that he wakes Taehyung, who was sitting beside him the entire time.
