Joe’s worked as Red’s goon for nearly 5 years now, and it was a good gig, health care, dental, and employee mental health breaks since crime can be draining. Plus they got a lovable ghost kid.
Joe had no idea where the kid came from, although there are some theories thrown around. Most common is that Phantom is Red’s secret love child, which made sense to him.
Hood has black hair, and Phantom has black hair in his human form, They both have blue eyes that turn green. Phantoms always either one step behind Hood or Chilling at the base talking with all the other goons. But tonight the kid is nowhere to be found. Not on the ceiling (which freaked out all the new workers), Not even in the lunch room where he’d steal everyone's snacks (Everyone knew so they’d bring extras).
Getting more and more worried, Joe worked up the courage to ask the Boss. Phantom was alway here or with Red but he wasn’t in the boss's office. Knocking on the door Joe poked his head in.
“Hey Boss, do you know where your son is?”
“What?”
“None of us can find your son and we’re all kinda getting worried”
Red took a deep breath. “First of all Phantoms at home working on an astronomy project, Second of all Phantom is not my kid.”
Joe, confused, asked “But don’t you take care of him and take him to parent teacher conferences.” which annoyed Hood to no end.
“Just get out Joe,” Hood sighed with utter exhaustion.
Joe dropped the topic for a week. But on friday it came back up.
“Baby Ghost, we’re going home” Hood yelled from across the base. In response, Phantom floated over and landed atop Hood's shoulders.
“SO HE IS YOUR KID!” Joe screeched pointing at the pair. This made Phantom double over with laughter and Hood just flipped him off and walked out.
After that Incident Danny would jokingly call Hood, dad, which would get a shove from the man for his efforts. Only making Phantom laugh more.
