    Tim didn't take long to hop on board the parent train.

    Danny, a toddler with the cosmos at his fingertips, was ecstatic to find parents that loved him unconditionally.

    This universe is safe for ghosts. But is it safe for little boys who can fly and pull constellations from the sky?

    Strange looked down at Peter. “I’m going to give you a choice, Spider-Man.” He starts, slowly. “Now, I would usually never do this, but this feels like a special occasion.” He takes a deep breath. “...Would you like to go to a different universe?” He questions.

    Peter froze. What? Just… What? “...I can do that?!” He bursts out. Dr. Strange gives him a look. In response, Peter clears his throat. “Ah… I mean… What would that choice involve?”

    Or, Peter Parker arrives in DC to start over, accidentally gets reverted to a seven year old, and he finds a familiar face.

    Or, or, Tony Stark died in the war. And then Strange transported him to another universe, where he started over, and got married, to Bruce Wayne.

    At least, alone, Parker Luck had no one to prey on.

    At least, alone, he couldn’t hurt the friends he no longer had.

    At least, alone, no one would worry.

    At least, alone, he would never hurt again.

    The strange looks he got from his teachers and old acquaintances didn't matter, and the odd lightheadedness he felt when he stood up a little too quickly after hours of cooping himself up alone became a problem, well, that was between him and the glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling.

    Everything was fine.

    Peter was fine.

    His system was working; Parker luck had manifested as inconveniences, not tragedies.

    It was fine.

    Peter Benjamin Parker was fine.

     

    And then, all at once, it was not fine.

    Tony Stark dies on Titan and wakes up in Gotham City.

    Now being told that he was in a coma, is married to a man named Bruce Wayne, has way too many adopted children, and nothing that he knew to be fact is true, Tony is convinced he’s fallen into an alternate universe and must find a way home.

    But the more he looks, the more it seems that the Avengers and everything that came with it is nothing more than a coma dream, and that this really is his reality.

    𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶?

    But something deep inside Tony is struggling to believe that, and struggling hard enough that the lines between reality and dreams begin to cross until eventually what is real and what's fake isn't so clear anymore.

    Does he search for the truth and risk falling down a rabbit hole, or does he stay where he is and never find out the truth of it all but live comfortably with the family and husband he’s come to love.
