Chapter Text
What…the hell? Where did my scars go? I could’ve sworn scars don’t disappear. So why are they gone now? Suddenly my thoughts get interrupted by a very familiar voice.
“I see you’ve finally noti-“ I let out a small yelp out of fear, until I noticed it was just the rabbit who has us in this killing game. What does it want?
“D-do you always have to scare us like that? Just appearing out of nowhere without a warning?!” I complain. Every time this rabbit appears it terrifies me, it just shows up out of thin air and disappears as well. It’s…confusing definitely.
“I apologize for scaring you, but I see you’ve noticed the changes to your body.” The rabbit continues, the changes to my body? Like just my scars disappearing?
“Yeah, w-why are my scars gone?” I ask. It’s confusing, scars aren’t something that can just vanish. So, how did it vanish? Especially incision scars, I just got the surgery months ago.
“You’ve been affected by the punishment. Your scars, height, voice, and body have changed.” The rabbit informed, but…that’s not humanly possible. You can’t make scars disappear, you can’t change someone’s height. This is so weird.
“I…punishment? The gender-bent one? But, then shouldn’t I be a female?” I’m so confused. This doesn’t make any sense, this isn’t humanly possible. Well, the rabbit’s not really a human…but still. Rabbit’s don’t have powers. So how?
“Biologically speaking you already are a female. So you are now a biological male until the next killing takes place.”
“I…what?” I don’t know how to feel right now. Should I be happy or offended? They switched me to a guy because they think I’m not one, but at least I don’t have to suffer more in a body that isn’t me. That would drive me insane. Especially, since I just got the surgery a while ago. But, that question still lingers in my mind.
“How did you even do this? It’s not possible to do all of this in a day? Hell, it’s not even possible.” I question.
“I’m afraid I can’t answer that.” The rabbit says. It always can’t answer one of our questions.
“You always can’t.” I mutter, this rabbit is so confusing. It can do anything but tell us information we want to know.
“I have to go now, another student needs me.” The rabbit tells me.
“W-wait!” I call out to it, but it’s gone. Jeez, it can teleport, change people’s bodies, and it knows information about us. Can I even call it a rabbit?
Well, right now I should focus on this motive. I didn’t think it would be humanly possible to switch genders, I maybe could’ve believed that my scars faded away, but changing a human’s whole gender? Impossible.
So I’m the 8th person that’s gender-bent…oh great. How do I tell the others? Should I even tell them? It might make them stop worrying about who the 8th student is? We can’t sleep so that’s already enough stress…but then again I can’t.
Jeez, I need to get my mind off of this…issue right now. I’ll go try to get coffee, I have a few hours till the morning game.

As Hasegawa ken leaves his room he notices others in the hallway. Specifically, he notices what they’re talking about.
“Don’t you still think that we don’t know who the 8th person is, is kinda strange?” Tamba questions. Tamba seems to be talking to a few others, it doesn’t seem out of the ordinary that they’re talking about the 8th person. Only for Hasegawa, he’d want to avoid that.
“Yeah! I mean the person HAS to know by now.. Right?” A certain fire-dancer agreed. Hasegawa just hopes to walk past them without being noticed, or at least without having to make small talk with them. They aren’t the most intolerable in this place, but they are certainly very talkative. And that is not what Hasegawa wants to do right now.
But just his luck.
“Oh, Hey Hasegawa!” Tsuno says. Curse Tsuno and her kindness to include others.
“Oh, Hi Tsuno.” Hasegawa says awkwardly. He seriously just wants to leave this conversation already.
“You doing alright? You seem kind of… worried?” Tsuno questions. Little did Tsuno know, Hasegawa was very worried, and in a rush.
“Y-yeah, I'm doing allright. I’m just..headed to get some coffee for my studying.” Hasegawa answers.
“Alright then. Well if you need anything just let me know!” Tsuno Informs.
“I-i will. Thanks” Hasegawa responds while leaving. Hopefully he doesn’t run into anyone else now. The hallways are quiet, so quiet enough that Hasegawa can hear his footsteps and breath while he walks to the kitchen. It feels…uneasy.
When he enters the kitchen no one's there. So Hasegawa can just make his coffee and go. To his surprise there’s a pot of coffee already made. He decides to take a cup and add in a few things so he can enjoy it. He cleans up a bit and heads back to his room with the cup of coffee. He sees that Tamba, Watari, and Tsuno had already left. He enters his room without a disturbance and decides to study about moon jellyfish for the time being. He might as well do something in his free time.
…because you can’t get a break in a killing game. New morning, new game.
