“Hey, Eda.” Luz crawled in on the couch, ignoring how the house’s other occupates quickly worked to gather all the comforting things. Emerging from her room for the first time in days, all she wanted was to go back. But there were questions she needed answers to. “What’s a grimwalker?”
“Where’d you hear that?” Eda draped another blanket before placing a cup of sweet-smelling tea in her hands and sitting on the other edge of the couch.
“Oh, you know,” Luz stumbled over the words, shrugging vaguely and tucking her feet beneath Eda’s leg. “it came up at Hexside once?”
“No, you didn’t, Kido” Eda narrowed her gaze and ginned just as quickly. “The creation of grimwalkers has been banned for millennia. Bump might be changing things, but he wouldn’t go that far.”
Or how grimwalkers are the thing of legends and Luz somehow convinces Eda they should adopt one

"Did Hunter fall asleep?" Amity asked in surprise.
The rest of the kids looked up and followed her gaze to the couch where, indeed, Hunter had fallen asleep. A documentary on the witch trials continued to play quietly on screen, while the rest of them sat around the kitchen table playing cards. Hunter hadn't known the rules, and hadn't felt like learning.
"I can't believe it," Gus said in wonder, "He tosses and turns all night. I've never seen him fall asleep by accident before."

Hunter is unnerved when everyone at Hexside won't stop staring at him…until Willow reveals that the reason they're all staring is because they think he's cute. Of course, the only thing Hunter's smitten brain registers is Willow thinks I'm cute.
Willow stares at him for a moment, head tilted to the side.
"Wait," she says slowly, brow furrowed in genuine concern. "Do you really not know how attract— um. I mean…has no one ever told you that before?"
"Do you think I'm cute?" Hunter ventures in a soft, awed voice, and Willow's heart skips about a thousand beats.
He's never looked more adorable than he does in this moment — fluffy blond hair coiffed in a windswept halo around the top of his head, dark eyebrows pulled upward in stunned disbelief, plush pink lower lip jutting out ever so slightly in a stupefied pout — and titan have mercy, Willow is so far gone on this boy. She's never been so stupid in love with anyone in her entire life, but this boy downright threatens her IQ.
