Chapter Text
August 12th, 2007
Life was simple, no more distractions. For the time being, the only things Emilia needed to concern herself over was keeping her job and small apartment.
After only being 8 years since she graduated from high school, things were going pretty well in her opinion. Only because she's heard some stories of people after graduation ending up on the streets or living in their parents basement for the time being.
But that was only from eavesdropping on certain conversations from time to time...
----------
Currently, Emilia was walking down the sidewalk, earbuds in that connected to her iPod, listening to her favorite bands. She hadn't had the time to get a car yet, as of not being able to afford one yet. But, a car was the least of her problems, currently she just had her eyes on keeping up with rent, and trying not to get evicted.
Emilia continued walking, but the sudden feeling of her flip phone vibrating, caused her to come to a stop, checking the screen, it was a text from her mom, asking for some help with moving things around the house.
Emilia began to walk again, while clicking away on the buttons, to form a short reply for her mother.
Turning down a crosswalk, she was still texting her mom, not looking where she was going at all.
But the sudden sound of a car's horn managed to pull her out of her trance, but the moment she looked towards the car. Everything went black.
----------
??? ???, 2007,
Emilia woke up with a groan, the only thing she saw was the bright blue sky.
Confused, Emilia sat up, she wasn't in a hospital, no, she was in a damn forest somehow.
She didn't know what the hell just happened, but all she knew was that she most definitely was hit by a car. She would've assumed she was supposed to be in a hospital, but this, this was entirely different, this was basically impossible.
With a groan, Emilia immediately stood up, her head was slightly throbbing, and she felt pain across her entire body.
The only thing she felt she could do was just, walk, and that's what she did, but with no sense of direction.
----------
Walking out of the Impala, after a very long drive, Sam and Dean arrived at a small gas station, somewhere in Kansas, "Jesus—," Dean began, with a stretch and a groan, "I could go for some pie right about now..."
"When wouldn't you be up for some pie, Dean..." Sam retorted back, while hitting his shorter, older brother on the back of the head with the magazine he had in hand.
Dean just looked bewildered at the fact Sam just smacked him, with a magazine. But continued his way towards the gas station, "they better have pie this time.."
----------
The sound of cars could be heard, from the distance of Emilia's position, that encouraged her to keep walking faster, despite the ache in her feet. Converse were not hiking shoes at all.
She continued until she spotted a gas station up ahead, she could see this old looking car, near the gas pump.
She continued walking, her baggy jeans kept getting snagged on a few branches, but she continued walking, she couldn't give two shits right now, she was confused, in pain, and in need of help.
The gas station came into full view, and she finally got to see that old, black car that stood out. It didn't look old at all, it looked new and shiny. The owner must've taken some good care of that car.
Emilia quickly began her way towards the gas station again. As she entered, the sound of a bell above the door, rang, indicating she had just entered, unbeknownst to her, she spotted two men, discussing about... Pie?
"You need to choose one or the other Dean..!" She heard the taller guy say to the shorter one.
"I know but... They're both good options!"
Emilia quickly walked past them, towards the women's bathroom, accidentally bumping into the shorter one, who'd she'd assume was Dean from eavesdropping on their conversation about pie, before muttering a quick 'sorry' his way.
----------
Dean looked towards the stranger, noticing how she had her arms wrapped around herself, she almost looked like she was visibly shaking, but couldn't tell from afar.
"Hey," Dean smacked his brother on the arm lightly, before pointing at the strange woman who just walked past,
With annoyance, Sam muttered, "What?"
"There's something off with that girl..."
Before they knew it, they were staring at the back of her head, noticing the tiny traces of blood on her shirt, something was definitely up with her, and they were gonna figure it out sooner or later.
----------
As Emilia entered the bathroom, she quickly locked the door, before immediately staring at her reflection in the mirror.
She first looked at her face; noticing the busted lip, the cut on her cheek, and the smeared blood moving across her other cheek.
Her gaze quickly moved to her shirt, the loose fabric had a few holes in it, probably from being snagged on branches on her way up her from the random forest she found herself in, but still, there were traces of blood splattered onto her shirt, they were barely noticeable from afar because of the color of her shirt, but if you looked close enough, you could see the dots of blood scattered across her shirt.
Emilia was bewildered, she had no clue what the hell was going on.
Before she knew it, she was unlocking the door, and walking out the bathroom, completely forgetting the fact that she has blood basically all over her face.
Walking out the door, she noticed the two boys were gone, they probably already had left and had finished discussing what pie they were to get.
She felt the slightest bit of relief. Knowing it was just her and that random gas station clerk who was probably high off his mind noticeably from how dazed he was...
Emilia quickly made her way to the front door, she just wanted to get some help.
As she exited the building, she noticed the old car was still there, but didn't pay attention to it that much. As she began walking, she suddenly felt hands grap at her, as she was suddenly being pulled back, her first instinct was the flail and hit her anonymous attacker, she even resorted to biting them.
Soon they came to a halt, as her attacker was cursing under their breath, while also trying to calm Emilia down.
Before she knew it, she was quickly being turned around, and was now face to face with one of the boys who were arguing about pie. Considerably, the taller one.
