Playing Investigator

Summary:

After waking in a mysterious academy with a motley cast of strange characters, Tsumugi Shirogane finds herself in the unenviable position of having to find her way through a killing game, dealing with several murders, several stages of grief, and her own various issues along the way.

 

Basically DrV3 but Tsumugi is the protagonist.
AKA I don't see enough appreciation for my girl outside of her being the mastermind so we're fixing that. She gets a story now.

"You sure about this, boss? I mean, we've already got two kids on this, do we really need this one too?"

"Certain."

"Yeah, but..... Her? She's just so....."

"Look, one of them is in a medically induced coma after the last season. Can't risk him getting out and figuring out where he is, and all."

"And the other kid? Wasn't that one hired to help write and run this?"

"Eh...... Good with the murders, less good with character work."

"Oh, well, don't we have actual employers for that?"

"Look, if this season flops like a couple of them have lately, we need someone to pin it on that won't put the blame on the company."

"Right."

"Besides, she's perfect. Total recluse, obsessed with a bunch of that nerdy crap. Audience'll relate to her. They'll lap it up."

"Can't argue with the ratings, huh?"

"Exactly."

"So, how do we go about getting her on board?"

Also, this one's probably gonna go on the back burner for A While, so don't go expecting updates. I will get to it eventually, but this one's a lot more interconnected to canon than most of my fics, plus I want to get my original story out. That, combined with Life In General means this is probably gonna sit and stew for at least a few months. Thanks for giving it a chance anyway, I swear I'll be back eventually!
