The alley was dark when Togame limped his way home. His ribs and face hurt and he could already predict the bruises he would be sporting the next day if he even made it.
He heard a muffled conversation that had his head turning slightly at the familiar voices. He stopped abruptly at the end of the alley peering in despite the pain that coursed through his body
Three silhouettes stood against the wall, the other in the middle of the alley. It was silent for a moment before the conversation picked up again.
“ Is it done?” A familiar voice asked
Where had he heard that voice
“ Yeah went down today Shishitoren is a mess “ Another voice responded getting a chuckle from the first
“ Seems your guy really can get the job done despite his ugly mug “ the first voice responded
“ Watch it, he did what you asked, didn't he? “ The second voice threatened
“ Yeah yeah, either way come back once I’ve got this whole things sorted I’ll treat you to something nice” The voice offered as the memory finally clicked in Togames mind
Zinc, what were those assholes doing on their territory?
“ Are you sure you can take them down?” The second voice repeated
“ Yeah with there leaders out of commission the rest of those weaklings are a piece of cake “ Zinc's leader laughed before strutting out of the alley
It left only two figures remaining. “ See knew you would be worth something” The same voice said in a condescending tone
“ Why are you making me do this?” A low voice said one that sounded way too familiar to Togame.
“ Hmm why are you complaining now?” The taller male asked
“ All of this is bullshit I never benefit from it if anything I get another bounty on my head “ The familiar voice said
“ Keep it up and I’ll tell Chika” The man threatened
The smaller figure visibly flinched at the mention of them name before speaking again
“ I don’t care you can go and tell him whatever you want but this is the last time I’m letting you dictate my life “ the shorter male responded
“ damn all this freedom must have gotten to your head, your mine you don’t get to make those type of decisions “ the voice said

The two rushed off leaving Togame there staring into the alley. He saw the sun coming up as he finally got a handle on how much time had passed.
He needs to find Choji

It shouldn’t have hurt as much as it did

Choji could feel the anger rising in his chest before he heard a loud knock on the door stopping him from digging himself into a deeper hole

“ What the hell are you doing here” Choji asked, seeing Togame black and blue on his doorstep wasn’t what he was expecting but it was a welcome sight although he would have liked to do it himself.
“ Look I know you don’t want to see me but there’s something going on “ Togame started trying to speak although the words came out slurred because of his busted lip and based on the bruising a broken jaw as well
How the hell did the other manage to get all the way to his house?
“ Spit it out already I’m growing old here “ Choji complained
“ Look all of this was a set up, Zinc you know those assholes that fucked up Namu back then?” Togame said trying to jog Choji's memory remembering how the other always forgot insignificant moments and people
Choji only nodded waiting for the other to continue “ There planning on ambushing Shishitoren now that they believe they got rid of us “ Togame said watching as Choji raised a brow
“ They may have gotten rid of you but I’m still here “ Choji said failing to see the reasoning behind the ambush
“ Look all I know is that there planning on taking over Shishitoren and taking control of all this territory “ he finished as he waited for Choji to process the information
“ When did they say this was going to happen?” Choji questioned
“ I don’t know but it should be soon “ Togame said remembering the words he had heard
This was nice, talking with Choji
But he knew it wouldn’t last long after all the only reason they met was because of Shishitoren and now that had gotten kicked out he had no reason to continue seeing there
It was his fault anyway so he had no reason to feel bad about it
“ I’ll check the Ori later and you should go home.” Choji said shutting the door in his face
He stood there for minute processing
