"Come on Elli! Live a little!" 007n7 giggled, applying the dye to the blond's hair.
They were currently sitting in the out of order school bathroom, skipping class just to add black stripes and streaks to each other's hair. Noli leant with his back against the door, keeping a tight hold to his own light hair.
"I-I let Sev do my hair and it di-didn't stain, plus mine is lighter than yours." He reassured the younger, voice smooth even with the uncontrollable stutters.
It put a lot of people off but his friends didn't mind, often harassing those who would make fun of him.
Elliot was in his last year of middle school and the other two were in their second year of highschool. The two separate grades were in the same building for some reason. Probably due to how underfunded the school was.
007n7 had met Elliot through her younger cousin, 007e7. They were in the same classes and were seemingly friends. 7 didn't really care about the age difference, just finding someone new to rope into trouble with her and her partner in crime.
She'd met Noli at the start of highschool, back when it was still two separate buildings. They had most the same classes and were sat next to eachother for some reason.
They'd grown close, 007n7 even letting Noli see what project she was working on instead of doing her schoolwork.
The two had literally pierced eachother in a gas station bathroom with a sewing needle and a dream. They were practically glued to eachothers side.
"Now what do we do?" Asked Elliot watching 007n7 stop and rinse out the leftover dye, staining the entire sink red and black.
"Well we gotta wait for it to dry obviously," She was wearing a hoodie over her shoulders, not getting any dye on her shirt. Elliot was simply wearing an old shirt, not really caring if it got stained.
"We c-can skip the re[rest] of the day and th-then head to the p-pizzeria if you two want..." Noli offered, scrolling on his phone. His own hair didn't hold dye well, black streaks fading quickly.
"Seems boring..." 007n7 seemed bored of anything nowadays, not having the motivation to do anything.
"Would you rather we go to yours or something?" Elliot asked watching as 007n7 visibly shuddered.
"Ew no! The entire point is that I'm not home, plus my siblings will probably annoy us if we do." She argued.
"We c-could hang out a-at mine? My sister i[is]n't a pain in the ass and I got s-some new games we c[oul]d play?" Noli offered, not looking up from his phone.
"Fine by me."
They ended up rinsing their hair out and drying it, then actively having to run away because the deputy head was outside of the bathroom at the exact moment they decided to leave.
After safely avoiding her, they simply walked around the school, not having anything to do for the next 15 minutes until the bell rang.
Elliot kept checking himself out in the bathroom mirrors, wondering how he'd explain to his dad that two sophomores dyed his hair in the school bathrooms.
He knew his dad didn't want him to get caught up in the wrong crowd but 007n7 and Noli were just a little rebellious. They'd both aced their exams and were top of their class, they just seemed to be bored.
007n7 especially, she was so easily bored of everything, it was a little off-putting but in the end she couldn't control it. It was probably the adhd anyways, dopamine not processing the same.
He'd learnt about neurological disorders from Noli and health class. Noli himself had bpd which is why he was so knowledgeable on it.
Elliot didn't know much on the topic considering he was just a fourteen year old the two had befriended but he didn't really mind.
He would just follow the other two around most the time. Being friends with highschoolers usually meant less a chance of being bullied and he'd seen what happened to the kid in his class who made an attempt to bully Eden.
It did not go well once he'd told his cousin, after that it was pretty well known what happened when you messed with one of 007n7's friends.
The fact of that made Elliot feel just the more safer being friends with older kids. Despite the fact his dad was concerned, even he backed off a little after hearing the story.
"Elli!" 007e7 wrapped his arms round Elliot, smiling widely. His eyes scanned the other over, and widening once he saw the hair. "Ooh I really like your hair!"
Elliot blushed slightly.
"Thanks..."
007n7 placed her hand on his shoulder.
"Maybe you could two can hang out while me and Noli go do our adult things."
Noli snickered, twirling a piece of Eden's very red hair round his finger.
"Yeah whatever you two go fuck while we go play on the Wii at home." Eddie smirked, watching as his cousin's face dropped and how Noli froze.
"God I hate kids." Seven muttered, grabbing Noli's arm and walking off.
The two middle schoolers sat in front of the school together, waiting for 007e7's aunt to come pick them up.
Elliot lived nearby anyways so it was just easier this way. Eden grabbed his arm as the familiar black SUV pulled up beside them. She didn't park the car, simply waiting for them to just get in.
"Hiya boys, how was school?" 007n7's mother was a very intimidating woman although she had a very syrupy voice and always seemed nice enough.
"It was good. Seven sat with us during lunch because some kids were picking on me again." Eden explained, reaching across to buckle Elliot's seatbelt.
"That's nice... Where is she by the way? Off with that one boy again?" She didn't seem very impressed.
"Ah.... Yeah, they went round to his place to do whatever, Elli was gonna go with but I decided we should play on the Wii." 007e7 shrunk in on himself a little.
"That girl...don't know what I'm going to do with her," She scoffed, pulling back into the road and heading towards the crossing.
The rest of the drive was spent in very awkward silence. Elliot knew 007n7' parents were harsh but this was just plain weird, especially in front of a guest.
He'd been round to the house many times to see Eddie but only recently he'd gotten closer with the others. Seven and Noli would gladly hang around the two of them and make sure they were alright. It was quite sweet.
They felt more like family than anything. Even today was an example, dying hair in the school bathrooms, it was such an older sibling feeling.
Elliot had always been the oldest sibling, it was nice to be taken care of for once. Instead of shouldering the responsibility of looking after his younger sister, he got to act his age and play around.
It was refreshing.

"Adult things...? Really Sev?" Noli snorted, sitting on the wall, legs swinging as they didn't read the ground.
"Shut up..." She playfully kicked him, pulling herself up to sit beside him and then waving a hand in the air.
The c00lgui materialized, quiet beeping as it started running. Although it wasn't completely finished, it was usable.
There wasn't many chances for something to go wrong and Seven was careful. It had been programmed very meticulously, every tiny detail being looked over.
007n7 even had Noli check through the code multiple times before testing, needing someone who hadn't spent multiple hours in front of a computer screen typing the same things over and over.
A new perspective. He'd already helped her find a few mistakes. Once it was finished the c00lgui would be glorious.
They would wreak even more havoc across Robloxia. They could do anything together.
