Chapter Text
Kai shivers, curling into himself underneath the blanket. He then glances at Zane, watching the snow fall with a childish stare.
“How are you not freezing?”
“I am a descendant of the ice core.” Zane replies, catching a snowflake. He holds it and eyes the pattern.
Jay meanwhile was with Cole and looking down at Zane.
“I spy something… .white!” He wagged his tail as Cole stirred the ship.
“Can you please be quiet, this isn't easy to do.” Cole glanced out at the ice and turned the wheel slightly.
“Why don't you change form, Kai?” Zane suggested as he looked at the shivering male under the blanket.
“Because, Zane, I rather not be a wolf if I spot my sister.”
“I don't think she is here.” Kai looks up at Cole steering and groans.
“Why isn't Wu steering, we've been drifting aimlessly for hours!”
“His knowledge is beyond my own.” Zane admitted.
Kai rolled his eyes. “Ok? But your all just blinding following-”
“Howl of creation.”
“Huh?” Everyone eyed the older man and Kai lowered his head.
“When, Earth, Fire, Ice, and Lighting are brought together it can invoke the power of creation. The ability to make anything out of nothing.” Wu explained as Jay slumped, his eyes on the cracks along the ice.
“I spy something broke-”
Thud
Cole moves his hands off the wheel and watches the sails turn solid as ice crystals rapidly form across them.
“Is that normal?”
“We are here.” Wu stays on the ship. Zane happily begins sliding as the others come down. Kai, holds his blanket closer to him as they head down the ice.
“We should change form, in case of skeletons.” Cole looks around the barren ice.
“Wolves can naturally walk on ice because of the traction on their paws.” Everyone looked at Zane.
“Ok?” Kai mutters as the others change their forms.
The group then walk down the iced and carved paths, and eye some frozen skeletons.
“Someone has been here.” Cole looked around more and Jay moved his ears around, looking at some murals of a shattered bolt and ocean?
(“Huh?”) He places his paws on the shattered bolt.
“The sacred claws!” Zane bounds and the others turn abruptly as Zane's jaws grasp the golden object. And almost immediately gets encased in ice!
“ZANE!” Kai and Cole immediately slide and Kai unwraps his blanket, putting it immediately over the ice lycan.
Jay slides nearly into Kai. “Is he alive?”
Cole's ears lower and he gets Zane onto his back. “Let's take him back to Wu.”
Kai follows close behind Cole and Jay slides a little around till they come across the boat again.
Wu turned to them. “I see you got the claws.” Kai glares at his smile.
“He fucking froze!”
Wu nodded and hopped into the ship, bringing Zane aboard.
Cole whines, pacing. “Can you help him?” He looks at Wu with Jay, both their heads and ears and tails tucked down.
Wu stared at Cole and tapped his hand onto Zane's frozen form.
Crack
The pups scatter as ice crumbles off of Zane and slides across the deck.
Zane sits up, blinking, his eyes illuminating off and on for a moment until he peers at the shivering Kai. “I informed you I would be fine given this scenario.”

Zane looks at the inscriptions of symbols on the shattered floating pieces of wall. “Fulgeria fulbtaio, Fulgeria tegetaio, Fulgeria niám tegetemio nu morener fulbte.”
Cole lifts a brow at Zane. “You can read that?”
“I'm amazed at it myself.” Zane lowers his head at the cryptic message.
“This place is making me uncomfortable.” Kai whispers looking around at the black clouds, each lighting up in sparks.
CRASH
Jay's tail phantom wags. “This is so cool!” He leaps to the other side of the cracked stone with a bright smile.
“Focus on getting the plate Jay!” Cole calls out and Kai furrows his brows at the taller.
Cole glances at him. “What?”
“Nothing, but do you see the electric gates?” Kai asks, pointing up at where Jay was climbing.
Cole unfolds his arms. “He is a descendant of lightning, it is unlikely those will be able to hurt him.” Zane steps up to the two.
Kai scoffs. “I'll believe it when I see it, so far he's the mouth of lightning. Do you believe everything Wu says?”
Jay looks back and at the floating pieces of an electric gate. “Wow, how would an ancient wolf make this?” He mutters and eyes the blue sparking beams.
“You're the lightning lycan.” He whispered and reached out to it, eventually putting his hand through the sparks.
His eye opens, and his phantoms flick as the sparks scurry across his hand to up his arms.
His head falters. “This feels nice.” He whispers.
Clank
His phantoms move backwards to then see skeleton hands lifting up bones. “GUYS!”
The teens all look up. “Well there goes Jay.” Kai shrugs and watches Cole immediately sprint towards the floating tower.
“I'm coming!” Cole yells out to the trembling teen above, whose eyes glance at the weapons the skeletons had.
“Hey so this is my great ancestors place, maybe um, you should leave?” Jay looks at the skeletons all getting closer, and with likely silver tools.
“Ok, so they aren't against breaking any entering and entering.” Jay steps back into the electric barrier and the altar steps.
“Can you get me in here?” He murmured and saw the skeletons pause, growling at the gate.
He then with his eyes still locked on the skeletons stepped back up on the altar, until he felt the stand against his back.
“Huh?” He glanced at the pelt-like object with a tilted head. “Is this the plate?” He cringed feeling the fur.
“Why would someone tie this up in a wolf skin?” He mutters, picking it up as his eyes sparked to life upon it being in his hands.
Clank
Jay's eyes trembled and he turned his head as suddenly all the electric gates shut off.
“OH CRAP!” He bolted down the other side of the altar.
Cole's claws dug into the stones as he soon lifted himself up. “Hey back away from the pup!” But he sees no skeletons.
“And once again, Cole, you misread the location.” He huffs, and looks around at the stone paths, his head wavering a bit more as he sees clouds forming nearby.
Zane looks up and begins climbing up until he reaches Cole. “This might be time to employ the invention Jay made for us all.”
Cole nods. “I'll get Jay and tell him we're heading down, you handle Kai.” And Cole sprints down the shattered ruins, his blurry eyes locked onto a blue figure sprinting away from white.
Jay hopped another broken bridge. “Just give us the plate pup, and we'll let you go.”
Jay feels his phantoms falter. “Yeah, right.” He rolled his eyes, then finally spotted a pair of orange paws coming.
“Cole, over here!” Jay waved one of his arms as a black hooded figure stepped out from behind him, with a shiny object.
“Hello again, pup.”

Jay jumps and spins, locking eyes with the shorter blonde. “Oh come on, why am I being ganged up on!?” Jay leers at the blonde.
Thump
Thump
Thump
“Jay, it's time to jump off!” Cole yells, springing onto the side of the wall.
Lloyd looks at his blade and at Jay finally reaching to pull a string. “HEY YOUR NOT-”
BOOM
Jay looks back at the fried kid, standing there still, blinking away the light as his ears rang painfully. Then Cole looks at the burnt skeletons.
“Where did that come from?” Jay mutters.
“Jay, a little help?” Cole lifts his paw and Jay quietly narrows his way through the piles of bones, and finally just pulls the string on Cole.
“I never tested it on a wolf before, but you should be fine.”
“Wha-”
Jay's hands shove the wolf clean off the side and hurriedly leaps off as well, going down head first, and looks at the closing in ground.
“WHOO-HOO!” Jay pulls his string, releasing his hand-made wings.
Cole meanwhile besides him flared his limbs all around and eyes the younger, easily gliding down to a calm Zane and frazzled Kai.
Thud
Kai looks away from Jay to the black wolf. “Have a nice flight, wolfy?” He tilts his head, cracking a grin.

Fwoosh
Kai smiles, putting down the rocks as the sticks Jay and Cole brought burn with a crisp cackling.
“Good job, now we may rest and in the morning we will head to the next and last sacred weapon.” Wu says, emotionless eyes on the fire.
Cole lays down by the flame, laying his snout on his paws. (“Finally, I can just sleep.”)
Jay swayed his tail, looking up at the waning moon.
Zane looks at his packmates and gives a smile, and scoots over to Cole before shifting.
Kai feels a flick on his head. “So, since we're all stuck here for the night. Anyone wanna go on a run? I mean, I know I won't he this after we get my sister so-
“That would be amazing!” Jay exclaims, instantly bounding towards Kai, raises his hind up, lowers his head, and wags his tail.
Kai eyes him. “You are a weird guy.” He whispers, but eventually shifts as Jay casually began to race around the outskirts of the fire's light. Barking happily as Kai slowly feels his tail begin to sway.
Wu sits up. “There is still one left, we must get our rest!”
Jay's ears fall. “Aw come on Wu, we haven't been able to run around since we changed. Well besides all the times we nearly died, and my time outrunning my dad, but that wasn't fun!” Jay sits down, turning his head away from the older lycan.
“I really know now I can't tell my parents anything.” Jay grumbles under his breath.
Wu looks down and strokes his beard.
“I guess I could allow it.”
Jay immediately bolted into the trees, Kai following.
“But be careful pups, the moon is waning, meaning my brother's powers are gaining more influence!” Wu called out to the already gone pups.

Jay padded his way through the elevated ground. His bristling fur getting even higher as he jumped up a higher edge.
“RACE YA!”
Kai looks at the smaller pup and wags his tail. “YOUR ON!”
And Kai pumps up his paws, going forth down rows of roots. He beat his paws one after the other and the wind in his fur flew like fire as he panted, climbing up the mountain and gleefully stopped upon seeing the moon. Kai panted and spread his legs out, lifted his head, and bellowed out a deep and loud howl of excitement.
His head turns back down. “Did you see that, Jay, I totally beat… .you?” His red eyes saw no blue tinged fur.
“Jay?” He glanced around more as suddenly the ground and trees began quieting.
His ears flick all around. “Is he planning to attack me?” His eyes then squinted as the aquamarine shaded grass began darkening to nothing but void.
“kai”
Brunette ears shoot up. “Nya!”
“Kai.” Kai began moving in the direction of the voice, moving his furred body straight into the darkness, where he immediately stumbled onto his shifting hands.
“Huh?” He looks out at the darkness world.
“Kai.” His glowing red eyes look at her red shirt and then her bolting away!
“Nya wait!” He chases and then stills as he hears no footsteps, nor feels her vibrations of motion.
“Nya!”
“Over here.” He turns and runs.

Wu looks up to the Golden moon being eaten.
Barking
“Something tripped me I swear!”
“Calm down, we got a rope!” Cole barks, lowering it more with Zane.
Hoooowwwwwwwllll
The pups look towards the mountains, their eyes glowing in orange, blue, and white.
“I'll go retrieve, Kai.” Wu sighs and the wolves get a shaken Jay out from the hole.
“I want you all to go back to camp and make sure the weapons aren't dug up.”
“Yes, Wu.” They all bowed and he watched them sprint off as darkness began to gloom.
“Hopefully their powers don't run out before they get there…” Wu sighs, beginning his journey.

Kai watches the flames beckon him like swaying hands and begins walking along the lit bridge. His eyes then expanded as he looked down the bridge to see boiling lava moving like something resided below it.
“Kai.” He then began running and shoved an old creaky door wide open.
His red eyes lay upon a raven-haired girl with a red outfit. “Nya!” He sprints right up, onto the rocks that had lava bubbling around it with practically tears in his eyes.
Nya squinted and shined purple eyes to him as Kai then rushed to hug ‘her’ but only felt as his arms went right through her! And in a matter of seconds watched as she vanished into a darkened silhouette of a monster.
“Hahaha.”
Kai clutched his fist. “GARMADON! He snarled, the silhouette meanwhile wiped his eye.
“That was too good. You are almost as gullible as my son.”
Kai steps back over the heated rocks. “You're just a shadow!”
“Yeah yeah, can't hurt you… .But that isn't what I brought you here for Cachupiò.” The shadow moved like water to Kai, placing his feeling less hands on the boy's shoulders.
“Off me! Where's my sister?” Kai's hands sharpened.
“Oh she's fine, little cachupia is comfortable. Kai, I need you to remove the sacred fire aspect for me.” Garmadon purred as Kai only leered more and stepped away from the shadow more.
“Can't you just make your son do it?” Kai retorted and the shadows' eyes squinted.
“He's not a fire lycan, besides, he'll likely drop it in the lava!” He chuckles and Kai looks at the golden altar, his eyes illuminating brighter.
Kai shakes his head. “NO! I don't give a fuck about whatever you want, I have been through Hell just to get my sister! Now tell me where she is, and why you fucking decided to bring us into your family's issues!”
The shadow sighs. “You lycans never get a choice, I'm sure my brother will tell you more when he remembers. But since you won't for me, how about for her?”
rattling
Kai's eyes immediately eye the drooping figure covered in chains. “Nya!”
“Now will you grab the fangs or watch her burn?”
“DON'T, IT'S A TRAP!” Nya squirmed and grunted as she attempted to remove the chains.
“Well then small lycan.” The shadow leered, tilting his head.
Kai watches his sister squirm and looks at the fangs on the altar, and back as his sister is suddenly falling to the lava
“NYA!” Kai shouts, sprinting instantly to the altar, taking the fangs, and climbs up the altar and takes a running leap to his falling sister.
Thud
He quickly gets onto his paws on the other side and looks at his sister who immediately got the chains off herself and looked up at him with wide eyes.
“Nya, are you ok?”
Her eyes analyze him. “I I don't know.” Her eyes stayed wide at him, then glanced at his shadow as it began moving.
Kai's ears flick and suddenly he is struck back, and just stands in front of his sister.
“STAY BACK!” Kai barks to the enclosing shadows and Nya gets behind a rock.
“AUGH!”
Kai whines, being immediately sent to the ground.
“That's not fair!” Kai looks at his sister and then at the shadows splitting, he gets up, placing the fangs back into his mouth.
“I really hope I'm just dreaming.” Nya mutters as he leaps forward again, to then get his ass kicked again.
“Seriously!” Kai snarled as he watched one shadow grab the fangs.
Nya looks away and then Kai watches as an old man jumps in, knocking the shadows down.
“Brother, I see you finally showed up to protect the fire core, but where are your others?” Garmadon gleams as the old man picks up the sacred fangs.
“Far from you!”
“Don't be confident, your confidence is but hubris without proof”

Cold hurried through the grass, his bare feet skimming over the rough fallen branches.
“Cone on Jay!” Cole looks back at the smaller teen shoving greens.
“It's harder to be fast on two legs!”
“He is correct; without our other forms we appear to be weakened.” Zane informs the Earth lycan.
“Whatever, let's just dig up the Aspects, get to Wu, and go back to the Monastery.”
“You think Garmadon can be defeated?” The teens all bare their teeth as the four-armed skeleton walked out under the waxing moon.
Jay looks up. “Ok, that isn't normal for a moon. What the heck is happening to the moon phases, aren't they, you know, supposed to change base on day?” Cole groans as skeletons now as wolves come sprinting at them.
“Get ready!” Cole punched, flipped and spun into wolf form, only to then feel as a metal cage went over him.
“Hey!” Cole looked at his friends getting the same treatment.
Zane whimpers. “This is silver!” He then clutches as his body forces him back to human shape.
“Noo!” Jay grips the bars and hurriedly gets his burning hands removed by Zane
“Yep, didn't think we had that?” Samukai said as he walked up to the caged teens, and presented the sacred items on his shifted person.

Wu glares. “We cannot have one hold them all, brother. You have to keep them apart!” Wu screamed, leaping to the podium with the two teens.
Garmadon slumped his head.
Thud
Nya and Kai glance at the front door slightly moving. “My son.” Garmadon purred.
The blonde stepped in, rubbing his head and looks at all the lava and the shadow. “Take care of these mutts.”
“Yes father.” The small teen salutes and the shadow furrows his eyes. “Where are my weapons?”
“Samukai is coming, I already alerted him.” Kai eyed the young teen's face; he never noticed Lloyd had a scar, let alone a claw mark on his cheek.
Rumble
CRASH
“KAI!” Nya gripped onto her brother as he shielded her with his furry body and watched rocks tumble down onto the entrance.
“Shit.” Kai growls, but does not move as his sister is top priority.
The shadow vanishes. “Thanks father.” Lloyd bows and begins stepping forward. He hopped along the rocks, pulling out a shiny silver blade.
Wish
Kai shoves his sister as a swoosh and crack of rock was heard. Kai looks ahead, and at Lloyd, flexing a whole set of knives.
“Pretty cool right?.. .I got them from your shitty shop.” Kai and Nya both leered.
“What, it was trashed.” Lloyd shrugs and steps closer.
“Maybe it wouldn't have been if someone hadn't tried stealing a map from us!” Kai sneered and Nya looked at him with a curious stare.
“What happened to the shop?”
“Oh, well. You stole it from me, too.. .so we're even, I guess?” Lloyd smirked with a cheeky little grin and tossed another knife, this time getting his target, and Kai's screams echo as it lodged itself in his arm.
“Yay, I got one, did you see father!” Lloyd looks at the bare wall. Wu shakes his head as Nya rushes to help her brother.
Thump
Wu lands in front of his nephew, and Lloyd immediately spins and tosses some knives at him. Wu barely dodged.
“Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon, you stop this right now!” Lloyd rolled his eyes, balancing a knife.
“And why uncle?”
Nya looked at Wu and took Kai's hood from the floor and wrapped it around the wound.
“Have you taken a look?” Wu asked.
Lloyd looks around. “I have no idea what you're talking about.”
“He trapped you with us.” Kai clenched his teeth at the pain searing its way in his arm. Lloyd lifts a brow.
“Yeah right.. .he does this all the time, he'll be back for me, but for now.” He held up the knife and Wu looked at him, seeing the scars that littered the boy's hands.
(“More than last time.”) Wu acknowledged staring at Lloyd's sweet, green, emerald eyes now having purple blotch on them, and his teeth, he was missing some. Wu's face lowered.
“Kai, give me the fangs.”
“Huh?”
“I'm gonna give them to him.” Wu said gently.
“WHAT!?’” Both Kai and Lloyd's eyes widened.
“Give them Kai.” Kai handed the fangs to Nya, who in turn gave them to Wu. Lloyd's eyes sparkled.
“Dad is gonna be so happy!”
Wu shakes his head, walking away, and to the podium. “Samukai is on his way.” He says and Lloyd follows him. Then Wu moved him back with his staff. Lloyd begins to glare and finally just snarls as suddenly Garmadon comes back and Wu snaps the rock under him. Kai stood up.
“LLOYD!” The blonde turned and lowered himself down to the ground as his father's eyes drifted to the old man, sipping tea over a lava fall.
“YOU FOOL!”
“If they are to bring the others to you, then I shall take the fangs with me to death.” Wu smiled.
Lloyd's eyes widened as he watched his uncle pour tea.
“WU!”
Nya grabbed her crazy brother. “Let's just get out of here.”
Kai watches the man sip and fall. “WU!”
Lloyd looks at the falls and crawls back. “What just happened?” He asked himself and suddenly he looked up at the shadow, leaving. He gets up immediately.
“FATHER WAIT, AREN'T YOU GOING TO OPEN THE EXIT!?” His eyes trail to the lava.
“DAD!”
Kai leans down into the volcanic rock.
“It should have been me, I was stupid and left Jay and the others, I should have turned around and gotten everyone.” Nya patted his back and Lloyd just watches as Nya comforts her brother.
“Kai, you're impulsive, yes, but now isn't the time for that, would dad give up? Even in whatever this situation is?”
Kai shakes his head. ”He would get up and find a way out of here.” Kai stands up, still clutching his arm.
“There must be something.”
Lloyd looks at them and the windows that were high up.

Jay eyes the skeletons leaves and then down as the moon shone onto a shiny blade.
“To the fire shrine!”
Cole snarls at the cheering skeletons till suddenly he watches as a dark presence begins spilling on the ground and in front of Samukai. “My brother has taken the fangs to the underworld.. .HURRY, we must unite the weapons!” It faded away and Cole looked at Zane.
“I think.. .that was Garmadon.” Cole whispers.
“So he's just a shadow, how great.” Jay glanced at the skeletons and kept dragging the blade, poking his finger against the smooth iron blade.
Hiss
Jay flinched, but kept dragging it closer till he brought it into the cage.
“TO THE UNDERWORLD!”
“YAY!”
“LET'S GO!”
RANDOM CHEERING
VRRRRRROOOMM
The dust covered them all and Jay and Cole coughed as Zane just silently looked at both of them and coughs too.
Cole waves his hand, seeing no one. “So what now?”
Clang
“We get out of here!” Jay beams, and strikes the cage, denting it.

Thump
The wolves sprinted through the grass and bushes, heading up higher along the forest edges until they laid their eyes onto the rumbling vehicles.
“Jay, take the road, we’re come from the sides!” Cole barks out and Jay slides down the dirt onto the path.
“MORE SPEED!” Samukai yelled, and Jay focused and began galloping.
Cole beats his paws against the earth and leaps onto the back of a vehicle.
Thump
Cole's fur sways in the breeze. “Come on pup!” He leans down to Jay and scruffs him mid-sprint.
And brings Jay right onto the vehicle. “You get the leader, Zane will get the driver, and I'll take the wheel.”
Jay bows and immediately heads upwards.
Zane looks down at his brothers moving and leaps down, and immediately feels as a swing strikes him, sending him to the front.
Screeech
His claws dug in deep as he looked at the skeleton.
Barks
Cole slammed skeletons to tumble into pieces on the road and wagged his tail. He then eyes the weapons in the cage and tries hitting it, sending a wave of tingling pain.
“Why did I try that?” He winched and climbed back up, getting himself into the driver's seat and began trying to operate with paws.
“HEY COLE-”
Slash
“AAAaaa- What the fuck?”
Cole lowered his ears as Jay nearly fell off from the scratches' force.
“Sorry Jay, I didn't see you.” Cole lowered his ears more hearing Jay whine.
“Greetings broth– Woah!”
Cole and Jay face the skeleton now climbing the vehicle..
Thump
The pups tumble into the air and the skeleton strikes them both, sending both down as Zane lifts himself to see flames rise from the tires.
Thuds
Cole winches and sits up, stares at Jay still on the ground groaning, and then witnesses the fire portal closing and their weapons vanishing before his eyes.
Jay gets up, lowering over for a moment as his paw ached and looks at the lack of vehicles or skeleton.
“They're gone.”
Zane's glance goes to Cole's stiff stare. “We didn't stop th-”
“Stop! You don't need to say it.”
“We lost.” Zane finishes and they all stare at the mountain, ears low.
