Summary
A dragon brings six myths together. A Naga, who's mother was killed by hunters, a vampire who isn't quite sure of what he is, an avian, who is a reluctant prisoner of a system, a kitsune, who was left abandoned along with his ‘human’ sister. And lastly a little dragonet, who the dragon already had. All six against the world, and united in a share of experiences with hatred towards them.

Summary
Things have been tense between them. All of them, to be more exact. Cole being the epicentre of the tension, to be completely exact.
And so it was decided: a trip. More specifically a ski, early-Christmas slash surprise birthday trip. All the way up in the Wailing Alps as normal people who didn't have to carry the weight of the entire world on their backs, driving regular old cars the Kai way - sans handy technology.
Now if only they could get there. Alive. Considering Cole was in a perpetual bad mood (amplified by all the decisions the team made to disconnect them from heroic lives, which included estimated two days of driving thanks to his new favourite navigation) and Kai was determined to break through it with a lot of burnt CDs.It's a pain in the heart

It’s not until Kai’s hips are trying to jerk away and his legs are almost shaking with overstimulation that Cole leans back, pulling his fingers out slowly. Kai whines at the movement, his hands slipping off of where they were clutching onto his hair.
Cole wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and then grins, “Guess being the son of a master of water certainly has its perks?”
Or, in which three years into their relationship, Cole and Kai still haven’t had sex—not because they don’t want to, but because they’re both idiots who think the other one doesn’t.

Cole’s usual nonchalant exterior had seemed less prominent, like someone had chipped away at the surface of it and was breaking through to the soft core. Summary
His fingers had splayed out, grasping thin air. Jay’s eyes locked with his. He reaches for his dragon, but the panic seizing him prevents him from summoning it.
The fall feels slow, like time itself has slowed down as he reaches for a hand that’s not there, for a way out that he can’t find.
Helpless, he’s helpless. Cole’s chest had tightened as suddenly time righted itself and he was hurtling to the ground, Jay’s horrified face going out of sight.
The view of the Bounty gets swallowed up, and Cole begs for the earth to catch him as everything goes dark.

Cole wakes up sick one morning (even if he doesn't admit it) and has to suffer with coughing fits, sneezes (elemental addition), vomiting and of course the dreaded headache. Kai doesn't understand what's going on. Until news spreads that a new villain is poising the earth. Will the ninja be able to cure Cole and mother nature before it's too late. Or will he suffer the same death as a different earth elemental.
