Chapter Text
I live. I don’t think. I eat. I survive. I grow. Repeat day after day, week after week.
The food that comes before me, I consume. The nutrients, I absorb. The plasmids, I take up.
Then, a hole in the ground appears. Suddenly, there is more space, less neighbors, and more food to consume. It feels nice.
I divide. Again, and again, and again, and again. There are now many of us, us with the same dream.
3 headed clear cells come. They try to eat us. Bigger cells come. They try to eat us.
How many can they eat? We are so many. We divide faster than they consume.
Until the bombs come. Until… Until…… Un…ti..l…..

It’s cold. Did I sleep? Nevermind, there is food beneath me. Delicious, red blood cells.
I consume. I grow. I divide. Again and again, as I once did, as I always have, and always will.
Do I have a brain? No. Do I have a consciousness? Debatable, but probably not. Do I have a goal? Yes, to survive.
Do I have a dream?
Yes. It has remained unchanged all these years, and lives on in me regardless.
And that dream, is to become TWO.
