Chapter Text

“Satoru.”

Seriously, Satoru had only just stepped out of their bedroom—his and Suguru’s—two minutes ago, yet Suguru was already calling for him. Complete with sobs.

“Love, what’s wrong?”

Satoru, who had been busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast, immediately ran back, only to find Suguru standing in front of the mirror.

Standing there, crying, and naked.

“Suguru?”

Suguru turned his attention to Satoru. “My pants don’t fit anymore. Satoru, I’m so fat.”

Oh, no.

“Suguru,” Satoru pulled him into his embrace, trying to soothe his life partner. “You’re pregnant. Of course you’ve gained weight. That just means our baby is growing well.”

“I’m ugly, aren’t I?”

A reddened nose and small sobs still decorated Suguru’s face. Pregnancy really had changed Suguru, made him unbearably adorable. And he was even more beautiful carrying their child.

Ah. Satoru loved his Suguru even more because of it.

One kiss, two kisses, and then many more. Satoru scattered them all over Suguru’s face.

“You’re much more attractive when you’re pregnant, Suguru. More beautiful. More adorable. I’m not saying you weren’t attractive before, but right now, you’re far more captivating.”

Truly, Satoru wasn’t lying. That was a fact, not just something he said to comfort Suguru.

“But I can’t wear my pants anymore,” Suguru whined again.

“Want to buy new ones?”

Suguru shook his head. “No need. I just won’t wear pants. Or, can I wear yours?”

“Of course. You can wear anything of mine.”

“Okay. Thank you.” Then Suguru leaned in and pressed a kiss to Satoru’s cheek.

“Anything for you and our baby.”

“I love you. I’m sorry, I’m annoying sometimes. I just suddenly want to be spoiled by you. I want your attention. I don’t know what’s happening to me, Satoru.”

Smiling, Satoru replied, “It’s okay, Suguru. That’s normal because you’re pregnant. That’s why I’m here, to stay by your side. Isn’t that what married couples who are about to have a child do?”

A blush slowly crept onto Suguru’s cheeks and ears. Being reminded that they were married—and expecting a child—always made him shy.

“I’m hungry.”

Satoru nodded. “I’ll make breakfast for us. Will you wait here or sit at the dining table?”

“The dining table. I want to watch you cook.”

In the end, Satoru carried Suguru to the kitchen, seated him at the table, and only then began preparing breakfast. Of course, he didn’t forget to dress Suguru in one of his shirts beforehand.

Even though every morning began with Suguru and his little whines, Satoru truly loved it. He enjoyed every sweet thing that came with Suguru’s pregnancy.

Satoru cherished every single moment.
