Finally getting your cool back,
"Well that's too bad, and I don't know what you mean, mister Cowboy. If you really are a Cowboy and not masquerading as one." you then said in an offhand manner, making the creature tilt his head up in amusement at you, before his mouth curled into a smirk.
"No masquerading here, darlin', I'm the real deal - come out and you can see for yourself how real I am." He then smoothly answered with a glint in his eyes.
You only laughed, which made him react to it in curiosity, his gaze quiet on yours while you laughed, which you of course noticed before you stopped, which he frowned at.
"Well don't stop on my account, darlin'. You've got quite the enchanting laugh." He then complimented, which made you freeze and stare blankly at him for a moment.
What the fuck. You thought before your brain got to you - this is definitely one of their tactics, what with what happened to that one guy from Colony house, who let all the monsters in the house because he was lonely. Something with a K - Kyle, no, Kev - yes, Kevin!
Well unlike him, you weren't going to fall for their tricks, however interesting they seemed. No fucking way.
That made you then remember - you had to stop that guy from doing that stupid thing. Oh fuck.
"You still with me, darlin' . Need me to get you a nice cold glass of water? I'll get it for you if you let me in," Cowboy's voice then slithered into your ears, making you stand at attention at the situation at hand.
A very dangerous one. One you had to handle with care.
"That's very kind of you, but I think I'll have to pass." You then blankly replied, which he grinned at.
"Well, that's just too bad."
"I'm sure, but well, not going to happen, pal." You only then realised your mistake when his smile widened, and his eyes turned in satisfaction before you.
"Pals, are we? Already? How very nice." He silkily said, before he continued.
"Well then, as your pal, I will let you rest for now. Sweet dreams, darlin'." He then whispered one last time, his eyes glued on your frozen ones, they only promised dark things, you thought, especially when he continued to smile at you in that way, like how one would smile at prey they found delight in.
And then he finally left you in peace with one last hat tilt.
Fuck.

I know rather short, but I promise the next one will be longer, I just wanted to update for you, seeing as you must have been waiting long, which- my bad, but yeah I got sick real quick coz of studying so hard for my exams (which I aced!) and just irl problems...
