Finding Ultron was much easier than it looked. As soon as Ultron had pulled a massive exchange out of Tony’s account they were able to pinpoint where the bot would be. The plan was simple, a little too simple for Alex’s liking. He, Tony, Thor, Clint, and Steve would go in and find Ultron, take down Ultron and if he doesn’t go down then Bruce (Who is waiting on the ship) would go in as a last line of defense. It was best that Bruce stayed behind to stay calm and wait for the signal. Grian had practically begged to come along, promising to stay on the ship with Banner and out of harm’s way. Alex of course said no, but Grian somehow made it onto the ship anyways. The rest of the team snuck into the base, only to be surprised by seeing the twins.
‘He’s fast, she’s weird.’ Were the only words that Steve used to describe these kids. They were kids. Tony landed and started speaking to Ultron, and that was a good enough signal for them to appear. “No one has to break anything.” Thor spoke. “Clearly you’ve never made an omelet.” Ultron spoke wittedly fast.
“He beat me by one second.”
“Now’s not the time, Stark.” Alex spoke.
“Why fight alongside them?” The boy walked along the bridge to stare at Alex as he continued, “Just like old times, Stark?” He looked to the weapons below the ship. Alex looked at Stark questioningly, his own helmet covering his expression. “Oh, you didn’t know, Space man?”
“This was never my life.” Starks words seemed genuine, but now Alex wondered what else he didn’t know before he started helping the Avengers and Shield for that matter.
“What’s the Vibranium for?”
“I’m so glad you asked,” Ultron sarcastically moved, “because I wanted to take this time to explain my evil plan.” Tony was pulled forward by some kind of magnet as Ultron shot lasers to his chest. Knocking him into the back wall. Ultron and the twins advanced as did the Avengers. What they didn’t expect was for whoever sold the Vibranium to Ultron, to call more reinforcements to fight both of them. Gunshots, arrows and shields were thrown everywhere. Hitting their targets. Alex took down one of the henchmen, using the hilt of the gun to bash against his head, knocking him unconscious. When he looked up to see the boy from earlier fly from the top railing and fall into the crates of weapons below. “Stay down, kid!” Alex shouted over the noises. Just as he started running towards the kid, he felt the side of his head prickle with a headache. Looking over his shoulder, he saw the girl run walk backwards to stare at him in horror. “I’m sorry…” She spoke softly, before disappearing. Alex’s movements felt sluggish as he stumbled to run after the girl. When he entered the door she had gone through his world had halted. He walked on soft green grass and saw blue skies. “What-?” He gasped out. He didn’t feel so heavy anymore, he felt light.
“Alex?”
He stilled at the voice behind him, it felt unreal. He turned to see his own reflection staring back… in green armor.
“Xisuma?”
