Chapter Text

"Theo. Theo. TheoTheoTheo. Theooo."

"What? What is it dude?" Theo murmured as he lifted his head up from his pillow to look at his best friend. Parrot had a big and happy smile on his face, that emotion was much more common nowadays, unlike back when they met again at Spawn.

["Dude, you alright?? Where were you all these months and why do you look...what happened to your wings??"

Theo finally managed to take a good look at Parrot after meeting him back in Capital City.

The other looked really...bad to say the least. Feathers were sticking out from his wings, one of his wings looked like it was broken. It seemed like he hadn't taken care of it for the past months.

His light green hair was an absolute mess. As if he had been pulling on it and tearing it out.

His eyes were..dull. Theo could've been looking at a dead man's eyes and he wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The spark was lost, as if it had never been there in the first place.

"I'm fine."]

Theo also felt himself smile as he looked at Parrot. He was filled with an unnecessary amount of joy but he couldn't help it, alright? His best friend was finally happy after so much time.

"Why are you still sleeping? It's coronation day. So get up. I need your help with stuff." Parrot said, it was more closer to something akin to a demand though.

Theo slowly got up from his warm bed, which was still calling to him, he groaned, "We literally did everything yesterday, what do you even need me for???" He rubbed his eyes as he straightened up. He let his wings strech, loose feathers falling, he let out a soft whistle in contentment as his feathers relaxed. Parrot, probably unconsiously, answered him with a soft chirp.

"The coronation literally starts in two hours, be glad i even let you sleep in this long." Parrot grabbed his wrist then started dragging him around the palace, showing him how they decorated the place even more, he was talking and gesturing wildly. That is one of the things that Theo noticed about his friend ever since he started loosening up more, he used hand motions whenever he talked, like fidgeting or anything in general, his wings were also very expressive. Well, expressive to people who knew how to read them.

They talked to some of the guests, mostly to the ones that Parrot himself invited, like Flame and Wemmbu and their best friends, they didn't see Spoke and Mapicc yet. Parrot really wanted them to show up though, Spoke was one of his friends that he knew for as long as he knew his own mind. Sure, they had their differences and arguments but they were relatively close.

The day went on until it was the hour of the coronation, Theo helped his friend put on the large red cape that Zam had gifted him from his days as a ruler.

"You'll do great dude, don't be so nervous."

"That's easy for you to say!" Parrot took the crown that would adorn his head soon, "I'm worried a lot of people won't like me." He could see the avian tighten his grip on the crown a little bit.

"Why wouldn't they? They literally voted you! Plus, i'll slime anyone out who dares to say something bad about you, your reputation and feelings won't be hurt on my watch!" Theo puffed up his wings, "I'll be your royal bodyguard of course, everyone will know not to mess with your Majesty as long as i'm around!" He pulled in Parrot for a sideways hug as the latter laughed.

"Yea yea, sure, whatever you say my royal bodyguard." Parrot was smiling as he talked, Theo hoped that smile will stay for a long time.

(He failed. He failed his only job. He had failed his only job.

He failed Parrot.)

Everything was a mess.

Parrot was missing.

No one knew where he was, the northern council was going insane, rumours were spreading faster than when Lettuce was overthrown.

Saying Theo was stressed would be the understatement of the century. His best friend was missing. It was about to hit the 24 hour mark soon. He didn't, couldn't, get a single ounce of sleep.

He let out a frustrated sigh. He felt helpless, unable to do anything about the situation he was in. Unable to do anything about his best friend's disappearance. But he wanted to do something, anything

The hours went by, it was almost noon when one of the search teams signaled him and his team that they found something that might be a lead to Parrot's whereabouts. It only took them a few minutes to get to the coordinates that the team sent to them.

When they got there the sight before them was a literal bloodbath. The search team's bodies were laying around, with some looking like they met a peaceful death while others' looked gruesome and horrific.

He felt his stomach drop and the ever-growing anxiety increase tenfold. He hoped that the people's sacrifice wasn't in vain at the end. One thing was for sure, whoever killed his men was, most definitely, the culprit behind the king's sudden vanishing.

One day turned into two, which soon turned into three.

Theo felt like he was going to reach his breaking point soon and just get rid of the whole server entirely. Stress wasn't good for his mental health.

Thinking of Parrot made him feel even more anxiety ridden, thinking of the fact that his best friend was in danger that he wasn't able to protect him from brought back that feeling of helplessness that he was growing familiar with these past couple of days.

He was flying around, looking for... at this point he was looking for whatever he could find. He didn't mind what it was, he just wanted to find something.

After a few minutes or hours, he didn't know, he finally saw something that was out of the ordinary. (It wasn't much but it was at least something worth to take note of.)

It was a cave entrance. Far too large to be naturally generated and it was lit with torches. Soul torches, which wasn't something you could easily obtain with the Nether being off limits to almost everyone.

He flew down to the ground, hoping he wasn't seen by anybody, and splashed an invisibility potion on himself for good measure.

As he got closer, he could hear the voices of two men talking about one of their hostages. Even if it wasn't Parrot that they were talking about, it still meant that these people were capturing players on the server and he obviously had to do something about that.

He was almost in the cave when the words of the two guards stopped him dead in his tracks.

"I heard that a few days ago one of our groups killed the king's research team. I wonder when they're going to realize that the searching is futile, by the time they find this place the king would be long, long gone and six feet under." The two laughed at what the taller one of the duo said.

"Didn't Andre say that he's going to kill the bird today?"

He felt his stomach drop.

What?

His hands turned into fists, ready to jump at the two but he knew that it wouldn't be a smart idea. He was alone here and had to do this in the smart way and not the impulsive way he would usually do it.

Parrot wasn't here to tell him to be rational in his decision. But he had to be.

What would Parrot do right now?

He gritted his teeth, and loosened his fists. He had to walk away from here before he actually did something that he would regret in the long run.

He ran away from the two, further into the dimly lit cave. It was too blue for his liking if he was honest, he never liked soul torches, the blue light from them ticked him off.

He saw more and more people, pretty well-armed ones at that, some were wearing netherite, others diamond. He had to do this fast, in and out. As much as he wanted to absolutely murder these people but he had to be quick. Much to his dismay.

He moved smoothly.

The cave opened up with a large space ahead, it was massive, even bigger than the place where he was held prisoner by LettuceK.

There was a commotion at the middle of it, with around..thirty or more people. In the middle of it was Parrot. He let out a shaky breath, Parrot was here. His relief was short lived as a horn sound filled the air and someone shouted, "Intruder!"

Fuck, his invisibility had run out.

He knew that he could take care of these people but it was Parrot's life on the line.

The next moments were a blur, chaos broke out in seconds. People were scrambling left and right, he was attacked by five people at once, he took care of them easily though.

His main goal was to get to Parrot. He didn't care if he was going to die during it, he had to get Parrot out.

His wings opened, flying towards his friend.

It wouldn't matter anyway.

As in the next second he saw one of the people take out a sword.

A sword that was too close to Parrot.

A sword that he couldn't manage to protect his best friend from in time.

It didn't matter how he crashed into the guy –probably Andre– to tackle him, because the damage was already done.

He heard a weak voice call out to him, saying his name. His gaze lifted from the person to look at Parrot.

He let go of his grip on the person's collar to get to his best friend's side, who was lying on the floor now with blood gushing out from his neck.

He got to his side and cradled him in his arms, holding Parrot's head up, who was coughing up the red blood. The metallic scent filled the air, it made him nauseous to know that it wasn't just a random person's blood but his best friend's.

"Th..eo.." The avian lifted one of his hands to grab onto Theo's arm, he smiled at him. "I..i'm really..grateful..for you and all..you've done..for me.." His eyes were slowly closing.

"No no no, no. Don't say that! You're going to be fine, Parrot!"

The king paid his words no mind.

"I hope you know..that i enjoyed..everything..with you.." His hand fell, not having any more power to hold onto his friend.

"Theo..live with love.. embrace the pain but.. forgive yourself as this isn't your fault.." He let out one last breath with his words as his eyelids closed, never to open again. The smile not wavering, he looked to be at peace.

Theo felt like he blacked out for some time.

He knew he was moving and killing, but he couldn't see anything from it. His vision was clouded.

No one was attacking him anymore.

The haze from his mind cleared and all he was met with was bodies laying around.

A sharp pain shot through him. He put his hand on his stomach just to see a gaping hole in it.

"Oh fuck."

He fell to the floor, not having any adrenaline left to keep him standing.

His vision started swimming, with black spots clouding it.

With his last ounce of strength he crawled to Parrot's side.

"Goodbye, Parrot."

.....

...

..

His eyes snapped open.

What?

He looked around his..room.

How was he back in his room? He literally..died. What.

He looked at the clock, it read 5AM.

Wait, what day was it?

Was Parrot alive and well?

He threw the covers off of himself and practically threw his door open as he ran towards his friend's room. He paused, hand hovering over the doorhandle, because what if he was already gone? What then? His wings pulled against his back in a painfully tight way. He took in a few calming breaths and tried to relax his wings.

He pushed down the handle and inside the room was Parrot sleeping soundlessly in his own bed. He let out a shaky breath he didn't know he was holding and walked towards the bed and laid down on it next to his friend. The bed was large enough to fit both of them anyway.

He turned his head towards the other, who slept peacefully, unaware of the turmoil within Theo.

Gosh, what the hell was going on?

Theo died. He was supposed to be dead.

Parrot was supposed to be dead.

There is no way that he had dreamt all of.. that, it was too real for it to be just a nightmare.

At least he had time to come up with a plan if that wasn't just a dream, because it definitely was not.

Theo was certain of that.

And he would make sure that it would never happen again.

Maybe he was cursed.

He didn't know.

This was all his fault, wasn't it? He couldn't protect Parrot, again.

He was doomed from the beginning back when he woke up.

His feet couldn't hold him, as he fell to the floor with his vision starting to disappear, his last thoughts were of Parrot.

Parrot who thought that even if he died, Theo would be able to live his life.

Even if Theo managed to survive this, he knew that he wouldn't have been able to move on.

....

...

..

He shot up in his bed, putting a hand to his chest as he tried to take in deep breaths.

This wasn't normal. This definitely wasn't normal. How the hell did he wake up, again? He died, he knew for a fact that he had died and that he did not dream it. Parrot also died, once again because of his incompetence.

He closed his eyes, trying to calm down, but as he closed them all he could see was the lifeless look and limp figure of his best friend. The blood on his hands after he had to let go of his body. All he could see was the way the sword went to his neck and dealt it's final blow.

He was going insane, wasn't he?

How was this even possible?

He opened his eyes and looked at the clock 3AM.

He got up, much calmer than last time. Maybe if he didn't rush things then everything would turn out differently? If this wasn't a dream obviously. Which it wasn't, he was certain. It couldn't be one, it was too real.

He walked towards Parrot's room, the pit in his stomach growing with each step he took.

He was...

He was scared.

Theo was scared.

He was afraid because he didn't understand what was going on and because of his incompetence he lost Parrot twice now.

When he got to his room, he didn't hesitate to open the door to reveal his sleeping friend.

He sat down on the bed and didn't move. His thoughts were loud.

He didn't get why he couldn't save the other. It's not that he wasn't strong enough to do so. He knew that he was capable of rescuing Parrot, he just... couldn't.

He looked at the clock, it was 4AM now. An hour had passed and he didn't even realize it.

He let out a sigh and let his head drop into his hands.

What would Parrot do?

He always knew what to do. He was the smarter between the two of them, he always was. But, it wasn't like he could just tell him what was going on. Theo himself didn't know what was going on, maybe he was just dreaming everything. He couldn't possibly be in a time loop... right?

Those things were just a myth.

He flinched when he felt a hand on his shoulder, it disappeared the moment he reacted to it. He turned his head and saw Parrot looking at him with worry adorning his face. His hand was hovering in the air near Theo, still wanting to offer comfort through touch but was afraid to do so given Theo's reaction.

"Theo..?"

He felt himself tense after, his wings locking up.

["Th..eo.."]

He wonders what kind of expression he must be wearing as he saw his friend's brows furrow and he somehow looked even more concerned than before.

He couldn't help it.

Parrot started talking again but he couldn't hear him over the ringing of his ears.

All he could hear was Parrot's dying words, repeating in his head over and over again.

All he could see as he looked at the other was his pale face, with his eyes closed and blood on the floor beneath him. Parrot's blood.

He was brought out from his thoughts by Parrot was he grabbed him by his shoulders and shook him.

"Theo!"

He grabbed his wrists to stop him from shaking Theo.

"Okay, okay, calm down. Sorry, i spaced out."

"I can see that...are you alright? No, you're obviously not okay, don't answer that." Theo let go of his hold on Parrot's wrists as the other brought them away. He ran down one of his hands on his face and let out a loud sigh. "What's happened? And don't say no, i know that something is wrong, you wouldn't be here then."

He looked away, not wanting to look at his friend. All he saw was the lifeless eyes whenever he looked at him.

"I don't...i don't want to talk about it."

The silence was heavy after, thick with the things that Theo couldn't bring himself to say outloud. Parrot didn't want to push him, he appreciated that.

Without a word Parrot laid back down on his bed, not taking his eyes off of Theo. He lifted the sheets and patted the bed next to him with his free hand. Theo's eyes widened slightly in surprise but he quickly scooted closer and laid down next to his friend who then draped the sheets over them.

The two didn't talk, just stayed there and enjoyed each other's presence.

Parrot's eyes soon closed, he fell asleep. Soon enough Theo followed suit.

That peace was shortlived though.

Everything happend the same again.

He tried to keep Parrot inside the palace, kept his eyes on him all the time but in the end all of that trying was futile as they ended up in the same place as before.

Here, with Theo cradling Parrot's dead body in his arms. Not even caring to kill the people here anymore. He just wanted to hold his best friend in his arms one last time as the sword was brought down on him.

....

...

..

His eyes opened once again.

He groaned at the pain in his wings. He sat up to stretch them, the pain slightly eased. He knew that it was phantom pain, he had been getting them for the past seven loops.

At this point everything was a routine.

He got up, walked to Parrot's room, sat down on his bed, tried to keep an eye on Parrot, he failed.

Failed.

Failed.

Again.

And again.

And again.

So he repeated the same routine again in this loop too.

He got up and went to Parrot's room.

He pushed the handle down, the door opening with a creaking sound and he immediately froze in place. He rubbed his eyes, but as he opened them again the person... he didn't disappear.

"You look like you've seen a ghost."

He said. As if he wasn't a ghost. As if he was supposed to be here. As if him sitting next to Parrot on his bed was perfectly normal.

"Wifies?" Theo managed to mutter, incredulously. "How is this possible? Am i dreaming?" He pinched himself. He wasn't dreaming.

"I don't know why you're so surprised, Theo. You've been going through a loop and this is the thing you can't believe? He chuckled and then he suddenly appeared in front of Theo who took a step back in reaction. "Don't worry, i'm not here to do anything bad. I want to help you." He flashed him a genuine smile, he wasn't lying.

"How are you—?" He was cut off by Wifies shushing him, as unbelievable as that sounded.

"You don't wanna wake up Parrot, do you?" Theo shook his head, the other nodded then grabbed his arm and they were back in Theo's room.

"Okay, you can talk freely now."

"Why are you not including yourself?"

Wifies raised an eyebrow at the question, "Why is that the first thing you want to ask me?? Theo, i'm obviously still dead and i didn't somehow revive myself. I'm dead. I'm a spirit, no one can hear me besides you and heavenly beings."

"Ah..okay, that makes sense." Theo's wings loosened up, he didn't even realize that he was tense. He sat down on his bed. He realized that Wifies was slightly hovering in the air.

"How are you here if you're dead?" The other's features seemed to soften slightly as he smiled.

"I never left."

Theo's eyes widened with surprise. Wifies never left? Why? Why would he want to stay when he could rest peacefully?

"I never left because i couldn't bear the thought of leaving Parrot, especially after what i've done.." He trailed off before continuing, "I felt really guilty, i still do, so i didn't leave. I want to be with Parrot, watch him grow and adapt to the world. To his kingdom."

"I want to be there for him when eventually the end of his life comes and be there to guide him to somewhere better. And hope for forgiveness."

"He already forgave you."

"I know. But that doesn't mean that he could say it to my face."

Theo scoffed, "He could. He really meant it when he said that. While what you did was messed up, there is no way that he could never forgive you. You were... are... still his best friend despite everything."

Theo knew that Parrot never really managed to get over Wifies' death. He blamed himself for what happened, even if it wasn't his fault. He knew that he would change the outcome if he could. He was aware that Wifies would always be Parrot's best friend... but Theo never felt jealous or anything like that. Parrot made sure to let Theo know that he would never be a replacement and that he was his best friend, as he told him many times.

Wifies hummed, "I know. He's like that, we can never change his too forgiving personality."

"How did you know of the loop? And how come you didn't show up before?"

"Ah, well, since i'm a spirit i could feel the... shift in the timeline i guess? It was like if time was a record player that,, well, kept repeating. Can't really explain it that well. And i didn't show up before because i couldn't. This takes a lot of energy you know, i followed you for the past three loops"

"Do you have any idea on how this could end?"

"You've been going in the right direction with keeping eyes on Parrot, i think. You should do that. But i was also thinking of while looking out for him, what if you eliminated the looming threat?"

And just like that, Theo knew what he had to do.

He had to get rid of the threat first.

Even if it's the last thing he does.

"Maybe we should come up with a plan first— Theo listen to me already! You can't be rushing into battle, calm down!"

Wifies tried to grab his shoulders to stop him but his hands went straight through Theo, who stopped to look at the ghost. His eyes were locked onto his own hands, he was clearly not feeling well.

"Wifies?" His words seemed to bring the other out of his daze as his response was averting his gaze back to Theo. "Nothing. Nothing. I'm fine."

After a few moments of silence the avian spoke up, "You're right, we should come up with a plan." The other's eyes widened then softened.

"I'm happy you listened to me. Okay, so the kidnapping is going to happen later today, no?" Theo nodded, "It's around 3AM right now, and you know the location of the cave. So i can teleport us there..i think, it might take a lot of energy since that place is far away but it's okay. It's for Parrot."

"Before we go there, you have to inform the guards as to where you're going and that you're going to need backup there. You're strong, but we can't risk it."

"Wait, what if i just go with the guards?"

"We have to get rid of the leader first. Which would be easier if you did it as a stealth mission instead of a group mission. They can come later, our biggest threat is the leader."

"Yea, you're right... who would be with Parrot tho?"

"If the mission goes smoothly then no one would be able to slip away to get to him and the threat would be eliminated altogether. Plus some people will stay here with him obviously."

Theo hummed in agreement.

Theo called together the guards and told them about what they were going to do. He didn't elaborate much on the situation just that they were threating to their king, it wasn't like the guards really questioned Theo. He was the king's best friend and most trusted person after all.

Before Wifies teleported themselves, Theo splashed himself with an invisibility potion and made sure that he had a few more in his inventory. He also had a weakness potion, as dirty as it was to use one in a fight, he couldn't care less on using it on that Andre guy.

Since the spirit only knew the location of the place he could only teleport them to it, but not to where the leader was.

"Okay, so you can't answer me whenever i talk. I'll be going in the front and i'll always inform you when you have to be on the lookout or stop moving altogether. Got it?"

He couldn't answer the other because of the invis but the ghost knew that he agreed. Theo didn't like to be bossed around people but there were times when he could let it slide. This was one of them, he knew that Wifies' plan would work since the guy was as smart as Parrot and the avian's plans always worked.

It was going smoothly, they only had to stop on a few occasions. The way things have been going was too good to be true. Theo could feel the impending failure hang over their head.

He splashed himself with a potion once Wifies said that the coast was clear and then they started moving again.

In reality they had no clue as to where they were going. The base was large. They did find the place where they held people, which was good because as soon as the backup team got here these players would be free.

Wifies swore under his breath, "We only have twenty minutes to get this done, we gotta be faster. Stay here, i have a plan."

Theo didn't say anything as Wifies disappeared from his view. People were moving around a lot in this place, their chattering filling the air. He took in the place around him as he waited.

The first thing that he realized as soon as they got here was this awful smell of metal and rotting corpses. The metal was probably because of the blood on the walls, he later connected. It wasn't a pretty sight to behold if he was honest, he never really had a problem with gore and blood as he was a fighter who literally blew up players. But he could never bare to live in a place like this.

The second thing he realized was how heavily guarded it was. It brought him back to the time when the mafia was still alive and the dogs of mafia were everywhere he would go. The fact that they were all well-armed wasn't helping the case. He wondered if some of the people were from the mafia.

Another thing he caught on was that the people here seemed to be enjoying what they were doing. Especially when they found the prison room.

He shuddered at the thought.

He splashed himself with another invisibility potion. Where was Wifies already?

"Okay, i found our guy. It took longer than it should've, i hope you can get rid of him in ten minutes." Wifies appeared again and grabbed his arms and teleported them to the room of the leader.

The spirit collapsed a second later, coughing. Theo almost called out to him but stopped himself just in time. Wifies waved a hand at the other. "Don't worry, i just used too much..energy. I'm gonna..rest now.." His eyes closed as his body went limp.

Theo looked around the big room, it was filled with all kinds of treasures, from netherite ingots to an elytra. At the desk sat the leader, he was facing away from where he was. That was good for him.

He sneaked up behind the guy, taking out his axe and he brought it down on his head. It made a loud cracking sound as blood started gushing out from it. He took the axe out and the guy fell down onto his desk immediately, staining it with the red liquid. The metallic smell reached his nose. It was irritating.

His communicator buzzed with the death message of the leader.

For good measure he did another heavy hit on the guy, which he couldn't have possibly survived.

He walked around the room, taking all of the treasure that was there. It's not like anyone would miss it.

His invisibility ran out, he didn't bother to use another one as the loud noise of a horn was heard and shouts errupted from outside. The backup was here. He could feel himself grin.

His communicator started buzzing with death messages from the goons dying.

He strolled to Wifies' side and nudged him. "Wifies. Wake up, we gotta go."

The other groaned as he opened his eyes. "I'm up.. i'm up.. did you kill the guy?"

"Obviously."

Wifies hummed in contentment, "Do you want to fight with the others or go back to Parrot?"

"I'm going to stay here and slime everyone out. You can go back tho."

"Alright." And just like that the spirit disappeared from the room, that is when someone barged in.

"Lead-..er..!" The guy seemed to froze as he saw that their leader was actually dead, even if it shouldn't have been surprising after the death message in chat.

In the leader's place stood Theo, who smiled at him. The person flinched at the look and reached for his bow, but the avian was faster, he dropped a TNT minecart and blew him up.

The fight lasted for about two hours. It was probably around somewhere 6AM.

They lost some people, which was expected. They would hold a proper burial and a funeral for them later in the day, the ones that passed deserved it.

He saw Parrot already waiting for him at the palace entrance and as he saw him, his reaction was immediate. "Theo!" His wings opened as he flew at his friend with full speed, Theo had to open his wings to balance them out so they won't fall to the ground.

"Whoah there! Parrot!"

His friend tightened the hold around his neck, Theo brought his arms around the other.

Parrot was the one to stop the hug and put distance between them. The calmness was short lived as the king started to shake Theo by the shoulders and started yelling at him.

"What were you thinking?! You idiot! What the hell were you thinking?! Do you know how worried i was?! You just left with half of our guards to stop an organization that we had no information about?! What were you thinking going there without informing me first?!"

Parrot seemed genuinely mad. He knew that it was out of worry and nothing else, Theo was honestly touched by how concerned his friend looked. He was still berating him but Theo mostly tuned him out as he knew the risks that he took.

The threat was gone. His best friend was going to live. This was the end of this agonizing loop. He could see Wifies next to Parrot, smiling. He looked happy as he looked at the two of them.

"I'm glad you're here for him. Continue doing what you're doing, it's good for him." As Wifies finished speaking he disappeared, Theo couldn't see him anymore.

Some part of him eased down at his words. The part of him that was worried that he wasn't good enough for Parrot, even if it was irrational fear of his, Wifies' words calmed him.

"—even listening to me?!" Parrot's voice brought him out of his mind. It was honestly kind of weird to hear the other shout, he wasn't the type to bring up the volume of his voice.

"Yes. But everything turned out good in the end, no?"

"Yes, but what if—"

"The what ifs don't matter when the reality is that everything ended up going well."

The other let out a frustrated noise as he ran a hand through his hair.

"Okay. Fine. But you're never doing anything like this without my knowledge. That's not up for debate, Theo."

He rolled his eyes, "Yes, yes, whatever you say my liege."

As the days went by, Theo could feel himself relax more. The constant stress and the constant tenseness in his body disappeared as he went back into his normal routine with Parrot.

Parrot, who was learning to adapt to being king.

It was really disheartening to hear that many people still didn't like him, despite managing to make Spawn safe after a year of it being total chaos. The avian tried not to let it get to his head though as the people who joined obviously seemed to be really satisfied with him.

It was going great.

Parrot was safe, well, as safe as he could be as a king anyway.

They were doing a tour of the kingdom that day. They went to Spawn and greeted new players and instructed them to go to Capital City or stay in one the still available houses in Spawn if that was better for them.

Capital City was blooming under Fymada's ruling, players actually enjoyed living there. She wasn't indifferent to her people, helping them and hearing them out if they had any problems.

Horace and his building team started a new project, making another place for players to go to. They didn't have a name for it but they had plans at least.

Right now their biggest problem was the fact that they were in a generational debt because of Theo's dyscalculia acting up. He did get a scolding from Parrot about that after Spawn was renovated. They had no clue how they will manage to pay that back.

They were planning to have a meeting with ClownPierce to make a peace treaty with each other. It's not that they were hostile to each other but it would be better if they had something binding them together. The main thing of the meeting was that a few people of Parrot's choosing would be allowed to go into the Nether for three days every month to gather resources, to which ClownPierce agreed to but said that they should talk it over.

So everything was going good.

Theo sometimes wondered if Wifies was around them all the time or not. He couldn't see him anymore, so he would never know, but it never hurt to be curious.

He never told Parrot about what went down, he didn't see a reason for it. It would probably just stress him out which he didn't need. He would also feel guilty if he knew that Wifies never left. So it was better if he kept it to himself.

He finally slept soundly after so many days. Even if on sometimes he would wake up and think that he was back in the loop.

But he was happy, he felt at..peace.

["You're going to do so good as king, trust me Parrot."

The other laughed, "We hardly even managed to get enough points to get into the election. It's not guranteed that i'll be king."

"Well, i am sure of it tho. So, shush and take a compliment for once."

"What! I can take a compliment!"

"Nah, dude, you can't."

"I was just being realistic!"

"Yea, yea sure." Theo stood up from their sitting spot on the rooftop under the starry sky, and opened his wings.

"Wha– Theo! Where are you going?"

"Catch me if you can!"

He flew off, he heard Parrot shout for him from behind. He laughed, loud enough for the other to hear.]

Notes:

HAH, I BET NO ONE EPXECTED WIFIES!

SIDE NOTE!!!: Theo saw Wifies because he died in the original timeline (and in the loops) so he was "connected" to the afterlife, and i personally think that Wifies never REALLY moved on from Parrot and is watching over him
