VI chapter
Why?
Lovebirds sat in Cosmo's car, parked on a cliff that they called "their". The reason to this, would be their often visits there and a lot of shared moments together.
Cosmo yawned and leaned back in his seat, landing an arm around his beloved's shoulder and pulled her towards him. They watched the moon and shining stars, sometime sharing some tender kisses there and here.
Green haired fairy often thought about their relationship, and how it became real, not that thinking was his strong side, but still. She could have stayed with that raven head and look good in the eyes of others, live her happy eternal life. But life happened and she picked him, ditching Juandissimo and dating Cosmo.
How? It was a mystery. He never talked to her about it, because he preferred to forget it, as it overwhelmed his mind. But it always found it's way to his thinking and he couldn't help it. It was such a miracle that she even wanted to be friends with him, but dating?! Oh God, that was a true blessing from above. He looked at her with gentle and rubbed her hand with his thumb, before looking at the stars with puzzled expression.
- Dear, you're alright?- Wanda spoke to him, looking at him with concerned look.
- Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm good,- he answered distractingly, locking eyes with her. Trying to seem as if nothing had occupied his mind, but Wanda knew him too well. She looked at him unimpressed and raised her brow.
- Oh alright, you've got me...- fairy frowned,- I just... Thought about how lucky I am to have you in my life,- he kissed her on the head,- I can't help, but think...
- Wow, we're going somewhere wider,- Wanda joked.
- Ah, stop it,- he frowned and she smiled apologizingly,- I'm serious. I just don't know how to say it,- he dropped his hands. Wanda patiently waited for him to say it.
- Sometimes I think, why me?
- What?- Wanda raised a brow.
- Why did you chose me, like, dating? Why are you dating me?- he tried again, embarrassed.
Wanda looked at him with puzzled expression and leaned back on the passenger's seat.
- Well, firstly you're really funny,- she counted on her fingers,- secondly- you're adorable, thirdly- I love your green fluffy hair and smile, fourthly- you're not treating me with disrespect, fifthly- you love me for real, sixthly–
- Okay okay, I believe you,- Cosmo laughed and lowered her hands, holding them in his big knuckles.
- But why did you ask? I don't believe you didn't knew all the reasons, that would still be going actually.
He hissed under his breath and hardly sighed:
- Sometimes I don't believe that I deserve you,- he rubbed his thumbs against her hands, lowering them,- you could actually stay with that muscle magoo and forget about me, stay with your friends. I'm stupid, lazy, gross–
- Hey hey, stop,- she looked at him seriously,- you're not stupid, lazy, gross or anything from that opera. You're the most kind-hearted and light-minded person I've ever met. You've never treated me like a trash or some trophy, you never hid anything disturbing that involved our friendship, like the one's did... I don't want you to think that you ruined my life or something like that, no! You made it better actually. If they don't respect my choices, then they don't deserve me, you also,- she raised their hands bit higher,- I love you, sweetie, you're the main reason for my happiness and I wouldn't want it any other way. Please, don't underestimate yourself that much, you're beautiful the way you are.
Cosmo sighed with relief and they leaned into each other, touching foreheads. Suddenly, their cheeks felt wet and Cosmo laughed:
- You made me cry,- he rubbed his eyes while laughing,- thank you, lambchop, I love you so much.
- I love you too, honey,- Wanda managed to say, before Cosmo leaned forward and kissed her deeply. Both forgetting about the hard life they're facing, understanding that they have each other and will fight to keep it the way it is and more.
