Malfoy Manor.
Harry couldn't believe he was looking at pictures of his mother.
“I wanted you to have something meaningful and I know you wouldn't have any pictures of your mother.” Severus says.
“Thank you uncle Severus, they are amazing.” Harry says.
“Well you deserve to be happy.” Severus says.
Harry gives Severus a hug and he doesn't care if he is supposed to be too old not to.
Severus hugs Harry and he is glad that he gave Harry the photo book as he knew that Harry deserved to have pictures of his mother.
After a few minutes Harry and Severus break free and the lights go out and Narcissa comes back in with Harry's birthday cake and everyone sings happy birthday to him.
The cake is a double chocolate cake with green icing and it has a picture of a snake on it and the letters read Happy 15th Birthday Harry.
Harry cuts his cake and everyone gets a piece.
Narcissa smiles as she hears her son laughing and the look on his face is all she needs as he is clearly enjoying himself.
Harry is laughing at something Mr Diggory said as the man is trying to explain things about the muggle side that he believes he understands but he seems to be doing a poor job but Harry is correcting him but he is also glad that Cedric's dad is making an effort.
Cedric's parents have gotten close to Harry and Amos sees that he was stupid to judge Harry as the boy is not what people have made him out to be.
Narcissa casts a spell and it is 11.55 pm and she knows that Harry only has 5 minutes left of his birthday and if he is going to tell Orion his knowledge then he must do it now.
Narcissa walks over to the group.
“I'm sorry to interrupt but Harry it's 11:55 pm and if you have chosen to tell Orion what you wish to add to the family then you need to go now.” Narcissa says.
“I didn't realise the time. Excuse me.” Harry says and he goes and leaves the ball room and heads to the dining room.
“Not to sound rude, Lady Malfoy but what was that about?.” Cedric asks.
“We have a very old tradition when someone turns 15 and Harry has learned about it and he is adding more to the family.” Narcissa says.
Everyone hears Narcissa speaking and they wonder what tradition that is.
“Wonder what Harry is going to add?.” Draco asks.
“That is something that is between Harry and your uncle Orion.” Lucius says.
Harry enters the dining room and he goes to the painting of uncle Orion and he pulls back the curtain.
'Well what do you wish to add my dear boy?.’ Orion asks.
“In my second year I found The Chamber of Secrets and came face to face with Lord Voldemort and I defeated a Basilisk.” Harry says.
Orion is completely shocked to hear what Harry tells him as he can't believe that his nephew found The Chamber of Secrets yet alone defeated a Basilisk.
“I'm impressed.” Orion says.
Harry hears the clock strike midnight and he sees the ring glow and he wonders what's happening.
“The information you have given has been added to our family and has made our family magic stronger.” Orion says.
“Goodnight uncle Orion.” Harry says.
“Goodnight my dear nephew.” Orion says.
Harry leaves the dining room and he goes and thanks his guests for coming and he wishes them a safe journey home.
12 August 1995.
Narcissa and Lucius woke up early as they needed to make sure that Harry wasn't nervous and that he didn't have a panic attack.
A lot of things had happened in the last 2 weeks and the family had been so busy as both Harry and Draco had received both their letters for the new school year and they decided to go and get a heads start that day.
Harry wore some of his new clothes and he spoke about how he wanted to start thinking about his life after Hogwarts as he wanted to look into both magical and muggle careers but Lucius and Narcissa said he has plenty of time to think about his future.
Narcissa doesn't want her son to grow up too quickly as he needs to enjoy being a child.
The Malfoy's weren't the only people getting their things for the new school year and this year Harry got chosen to be a prefect for his new house and Narcissa and Lucius were so happy.
Draco was a bit annoyed that he didn't get picked but once he understood why then he was happy for his brother.
Harry was a bit worried about going into his new house and being made a prefect and he spoke to his uncle Orion who told him that he clearly deserves it and to not let people bring him down.
Harry found out that Hermione had been made the Ravenclaw prefect as well and they both talked about their fears but they both promised to stick together.
Hermione has been showing great improvement and she has seen that she doesn't need to rely on books that much.
When the family got back to the manor after getting everything for both boys they were surprised to see an owl waiting for them and the owl had a letter for Harry.
Harry opened it and he saw that it was the date of Ron's trial and he just had to confirm that he was going to be there.
Narcissa and Lucius saw the letter and they were worried that Harry would have a setback.
After confirming he would be there Harry sent the owl back and he went to his room.
Draco was worried about his brother and he hoped that he would be ok but he made sure to keep an eye on him.
Narcissa goes and gets ready and she makes sure to wear something that shows the power that she holds not only as a Malfoy but as a Black.
Lucius knows that he needs to be strong and he is going to keep his promise that he made when he became Harry's father.
Lucius changes into something that has the Malfoy family crest on it and it shows people that they are the family you don't cross.
After both Lucius and Narcissa have changed they leave their room and they go and wake up Harry and Draco.
One they enter Draco's room they see the boy is not there so they check Harry's room and they find he is not in his room so they go and check the dining room and they don't see the boys in there so they look in Lucius' study and again no sign of them.
Narcissa starts to worry but she keeps calm as she needs to think clearly.
“Dobby.” Lucius calls out.
Dobby appears in front of Lucius and he bows to him.
“Dobby, do you know where Harry and Draco are?.” Lucius asks.
“Master Draco is with the horses.” Dobby says.
“What about Harry?.” Narcissa asks.
“Master Harry is out in the garden and he is busy writing something.” Dobby says.
Narcissa and Lucius are glad that their sons are ok and they should have known that Draco would be looking after his horse as it's became his daily routine and he seems to be doing well at keeping up with it but Narcissa and Lucius wonder why Harry is in the garden and what could he possibly be writing.
“I'll go and check on Harry while you see Draco.” Lucius says.
Narcissa nods and Lucius leaves his study.
The walk to the garden isn't that long and when Lucius opens the doors he sees Harry sitting at the table and he is writing on some paper.
Lucius steps out into the garden and he walks over to Harry.
“Mind if I sit down?.” Lucius asks.
Harry looks up and he sees his dad and he nods to him and then continues writing.
Lucius takes a seat and he tries to figure out how to start the conversation.
“I wanted to get up early and do a few things.” Harry says.
Lucius knows that his son likes to get up early and they have gotten used to that but something tells Lucius there is more to why Harry got up early.
“May I ask what you are doing?.” Lucius asks.
“I'm writing a victim impact statement as I want Ronald to know what he did and how I truly feel.” Harry says.
Lucius is surprised as they have never had someone do that and he is impressed as it's clear that they need to allow this.
“I understand why you got up early and we will make sure that you can give your statement.” Lucius says.
Lucius is going to speak to Fudge and Madam Bones as this is another thing that they can learn from the muggles.
“Harry I know that today is going to be one of the hardest things you have had to do but just know that Ron Weasley does not get to control how you feel and he certainly doesn't get to control what happens in your future.” Lucius says.
“I just feel like so many people expect me to just forgive him and when I choose not to it's like I'm letting those people down.” Harry says.
“Son, you are not letting anyone down.” Lucius says.
Harry knows what his father says is true and he loves that his father means what he says.
Lucius hugs his son and he hates that his son is doubting himself and he is going to speak to Molly and Arthur as it's clear that Harry feels like he is letting them down.
“I'll let you finish writing but don't take too long.” Lucius says and he leaves his son alone.
Lucius walks inside and he heads to the dining room and he sees his wife and son walking towards him.
“How is your horse Draco?.” Lucius asks.
“Moonlight is doing ok and he is eating normally.” Draco says.
“Good I'm glad. Let's get some breakfast and then Draco please go and shower and get ready.” Lucius says.
“Of course father.” Draco says.
“Where is Harry?.” Narcissa asks.
“I've left him outside as he is writing what the muggles call a victim impact statement and it's about what the victim has been through and Harry wants Ron Weasley to know what he put him through.” Lucius says.
Narcissa is torn to go out into the garden and hug her son or to stay inside and let Harry come to her but from the look on her husband's face this is something Harry must do alone and she will let him walk that path but be in the shadows for when he needs her help.
All three go to the dining room and take their seats and they start on their breakfast.
15 minutes later.
Kreacher appears and tells them that Harry is getting ready and he will be a bit longer as he is just recovering from a panic attack but to not worry about him.
Narcissa tells Kreacher to let Harry know that he can always tell them if he is worried or scared but they will go at his pace.
Kreacher bows and disappears and Narcissa hates that her son is going through this.
Draco looks at his parents and he wishes that he could do something and he thinks about getting in touch with the Weasley twins as they have been loyal to his brother.
An owl comes through the window and Draco knows who the letter is from.
Lucius and Narcissa immediately recognize the owl and they know that the letter is from Pansy and she is probably trying to get back into Draco's good books.
Narcissa never liked Pansy and thought the girl was nasty and very stuck up and she only wanted to use her son for power and money.
Draco takes the letter and the owl waits and Draco doesn't want to reply.
“Why don't you stay here for a few days and then once you have rested you can leave but it will be without a response.” Draco says.
The owl hoots and flies to where Headwig and his owl is.
The doors to the room opens and Harry comes in and he looks different and he smiles at them all.
Draco gets up and he hugs his brother and he then leaves to get ready.
Narcissa hands Harry a drink and some toast and she gives his hand a squeeze.
40 minutes later Draco comes back into the dining room and he has changed into a nice suit.
Harry is wearing the same style of suit as Draco but it's a different colour and he has chosen a muggle suit.
Harry is embracing his muggle side as that's what his mother would want and he is going to try and see if his uncle Severus has any pictures of his grandparents from his mother's side.
“Ok boys it's time to leave.” Lucius says.
The group leaves the dining room and heads to the floo room.
Once in the floo room Narcissa heads to the fireplace and she takes out the powder and puts it into the fireplace.
Draco and Lucius travel together and then Harry and Narcissa go after them.
Ministry of Magic,Atrium.
The group comes out of the floo and they are immediately surrounded by reporters and they are all taking pictures and asking loads of questions.
Harry can feel himself starting to have a panic attack.
Narcissa looks at her son and she takes his hand and she moves past the crowd and she makes sure she doesn't let go of her son.
Lucius and Draco follow and the reporters shout after them.
“It's going to be fine Harry, you are going to get the justice you deserve.” Narcissa says.
The group stop at courtroom ten and they wait until Harry is ready and once he has composed himself the group enter.
The courtroom is absolutely packed and it looks like there are more reporters and every influential family is here as well.
Narcissa and Lucius lead the boys to their seats and they see people stare at them but they also see that they recognise the power they have.
The family takes their seats and they see their lawyer is already at the table.
Theodore Nott Senior turns around and he smiles at the Malfoy family.
When Lucius asked Theodore to take Harry's case he knew that his friend was trusting him and that he was going to have to make sure that Harry got the justice he so rightly deserves.
Theodore hasn't spent much time with Harry but he has heard a few stories from his son and from what Lucius has told him about his new son it looks like Theodore may get on with Harry as they both have similar interests.
“How are you all feeling?.” Theodore asks.
“We will be glad once this is over with.” Narcissa says.
“Don't worry, the evidence that you all provided and the memories they took will help this case.” Theodore says.
“Mr Nott do you think it will be possible for me to read this out or will I not be allowed?.” Harry asks.
Harry shows Theodore his statement and the man is impressed but he also sees what Harry went through.
“I'll go and speak to Fudge and Madam Bones.” Theodore says.
Theodore gets up from the table and he goes and speaks to Fudge and Madam Bones.
“Don't worry I'm sure Amelia and Cornelius will let you read out your statement.” Lucius says.
Before anyone can respond they hear their names and they turn around and see the Diggory's and the Granger family walking towards them.
Hermione's parents are looking around and they can't believe where they are.
Cedric goes and hugs his boyfriend and gives him a kiss and one of the reporters takes a picture of it.
“I do hope that you won't be printing that since my son and his boyfriend didn't consent to their picture being taken.” Amos says.
The reporter looks at Amos and he wants to say something rude but he looks at who Amos is with and he doesn't say anything but instead he uses a spell that erases the picture.
“The next time you take a picture of my son and his boyfriend I'll make sure it's your last.” Lucius says.
The reporter knows that what Lucius says is true and he moves away from the group.
Theodore comes back and he sees that more people have turned up.
“I spoke to Madam Bones and Fudge and they will let you read your statement but after the trial they want to talk to Harry and learn more about what a victim impact statement means.” Theodore says.
“You wrote a victim impact statement Harry?.” Mr and Mrs Granger ask.
“Yes I did as I decided that Ron needed to hear what he put me through.” Harry says.
“That's good. Harry, are you aware that your statement may impact the outcome of the trial?.” Hermione asks.
“I am.” Harry says.
The group are shocked but hopefully the statement will help sway Fudge and Amelia.
The Weasley's enter the courtroom and they see Harry and they wave to him but he ignores them.
“Harry is being rude to us.” Ginny says.
“Ginny this is a hard day for Harry and he needs to focus on himself so he is not being rude.” Arthur says.
“Well he could've still said hello.” Ginny says.
“Ginny, you listen to me and you listen well. Harry doesn't have to speak to us and the fact that he is shows what a kind person he is and he can still call in the debt we owe him but he hasn't done that and he probably won't as he knows that we wouldn't survive it so I do not want to hear you bad mouthing him. Now sit down young lady.” Arthur says.
Once everyone is in the courtroom the doors are locked with a spell and everyone faces the front.
“Attention everyone. Today is the trial of Mr Ronald Bilius "Ron" Weasley. Aurors please bring in the defendant.” Fudge says.
Two aurors leave and they go and collect Ron.
“Who's that defending Weasley?.” Draco asks.
“That is Eric Northcott and he is really good but unfortunately he is a Gryffindor so he only takes on cases that involve his own house.” Lucius says.
“So he is discriminating against other houses.” Harry says.
“Yes he is.” Amos says.
“If he tried that in the muggle world his reputation would be in tatters and his business wouldn't even survive.” Hermione says.
The group look at Hermione and they see that they need to speak to her and her parents as well as Harry and learn more about the muggle side and what they could use for their world.
The door opens and two aurors bring Ron in and he is yelling but no-one can hear what he is saying.
“Mr Weasley started to insult us and he started to say what he is going to do to Mr Potter once he is free so we used silencio on him.” Kingsley Shacklebolt says.
Eric doesn't look happy but he can't object as the aurors are within their rights.
Kingsley Shacklebolt and John Dawlish lead Ron to a chair and once he sits in it chains immediately appear and lock him in place.
Kingsley and Dawlish stand behind Ron.
“Mr Ronald Bilius "Ron" Weasley you are standing trial for the abuse and physical attack on Mr Harry James Potter now known as Harry James Malfoy. Do you understand the charges that I've read?.” Fudge asks.
Kingsley removes the spell.
“Oh I understand all right. I understand that Potter is a baby and that he is making himself a victim when he isn't even good enough for our world. No wonder the dark lord wanted him dead, just a shame his stupid father and mudblood mother died protecting him.” Ron says.
The crowd starts yelling and Hermione's parents start yelling as they have read about what that word means.
“SILENCE.” Fudge shouts out.
The crowd falls silent and Fudge looks at Ron and he sees him for the person he is and that's a nasty boy who clearly thinks he will get away with what he did.
“Mr Weasley you do know what you did was a crime and that you took pleasure in causing someone who was supposed to be your friend harm. Can you please explain to us why you did that?.” Amelia asks.
“I did it because it felt good and Potter had to learn who was more superior than him as let's face it he doesn't even know much about our world.” Ron says with a grin on his face.
“Madam Bones and Minister Fudge it's clear that my client is not well and the deal that was made to the Weasley's should be enforced as Mr Potter has no right to decide on what happens.” Eric says.
“Objection. My Weasley was assessed by someone from St Mungo's Hospital and I have the report and you have spoken to them as well.” Theodore says.
“Sustained.” Amelia says.
“Mr Northcott your argument is invalid as it's clear that your client is fully aware of what he did and he has just shown that he feels no remorse for what he did.” Fudge says.
“Mr Weasley you stated that you had to show Mr Potter his place as he knows nothing about our world but you don't seem to know anything about the muggle world yet Mr Potter never once made you feel like he had to put you through the pain and hell you put him through so it's clear that you are just jealous of Mr Potter and that's a sad thing indeed.” Amelia says.
Ron looks at Amelia and he doesn't say anything as once he is free he is going to show everyone that they underestimated him.
“Mr Nott and Mr Northcott approach please?.” Fudge asks.
Both men do as they are asked.
“It's clear that Mr Weasley doesn't see what he did wrong and we have enough evidence to sentence him and Mr Northcott you yourself have looked at the evidence and you have even looked at the memories so do you honestly believe that you can get your client set free?.” Fudge asks.
Mr Northcott looks at his client and he looks at Fudge,Amelia and Theodore and he knows that he shouldn't have taken this case as he wasn't going to win.
“Can we make a new deal?.” Eric asks.
“What do you suggest?.” Theodore asks.
“The same deal but my client remembers that he is a wizard and he is not allowed to speak about our world and he feels what Mr Potter went through.” Eric says.
“I'll speak to my client.” Theodore says and he walks away.
“Well what's happening?.” Narcissa asks.
“Ron's lawyer has asked for the same deal but he has suggested two things that may change the deal. They are that the boy remembers he is a wizard and that he feels what he put Harry through.” Theodore says.
“His lawyer knew that he wouldn't win.” Cedric says.
“Yes but Harry this is your choice and your choice alone.” Theodore says.
Harry looks at Theodore and then he looks at his parents and then at Hermione and he looks across the room at Molly and Arthur and he still feels torn.
Narcissa and Lucius know that their son feels like he is letting the rest of the Weasley's down and this is a choice they can't help him make as it needs to be him.
“Does anyone feel that?.” Draco asks.
“Feel what Draco?.” Lucius asks.
“A chill in the air or a light breeze.” Draco says.
A gust of wind comes into the room and everyone wonders what is happening.
“Fear not, you all are safe. I'm here to help the one who is at a crossroads.” A voice says.
“Who are you?.” Fudge says.
“I am Lord Destiny and I've been sent by mother magic herself.” Destiny says.
Ron starts to laugh and everyone looks at him.
“You all will pay since mother magic deems me innocent.” Ron says.
“Ronald Weasley I have not been sent to help you as your destiny is clear. I am here to help someone else to make a choice they feel like they can't make.” Destiny says.
The whole courtroom turns and looks at Harry and the boy feels even more nervous.
“Harry Malfoy you are uncertain about a choice and with that I've been sent to help you understand the crossroads you've found yourself at.” Destiny says and she appears in the middle of the room.
Everyone is in shock as never have they seen Destiny or known someone to see her.
“Why has mother magic asked you to help Harry?.” Ginny asks.
Destiny looks at Ginny and her future is clear just like her brothers.
“Because everyone bows down to perfect Potter and they treat him like he is a hero when he is nothing but a joke.” Ron says.
“Oh how wrong you are Ronald Weasley. I've been called to help Harry as he is more powerful than you will ever be and his destiny is for him to become the master of death and to control the hallows.” Destiny says.
“You don't mean the objects from the three brothers?.” Cedric asks.
“Yes, that's what I mean.” Destiny says.
“Harry, you already have the invisibility cloak.” Hermione says.
“But what do you mean I'll become the master of death?.” Harry asks.
“Once the person has all three hollows in their hands and they are worthy, they are considered the master of death.” Destiny says.
“But why me?.” Harry asks.
“You are from one of the three brothers but you are meant to be the master as you have shown that you have what the hallows represent.” Destiny says.
“What does it mean for Harry to be the master of death?.” Draco asks.
“Once Harry becomes the master of death he will be given more magic and he will be able to communicate with death and he will be able to see us and speak to us.” Destiny says.
Harry is completely shocked as he never asked for this and again it's something he has been given.
“Harry you may have not asked for this but you were always destined for it but fear not nothing is going to happen to you this time.” Destiny says.
“What does Harry need to do to get the hallows?.” Hermione asks.
“Nothing as the hallows will find you as they are meant to. Now it's time to help you down the path that you need to go to.” Destiny says.
Destiny floats over to Harry and takes his hand and Harry feels magic go through him and he sees different images of what his life will look like if he chooses the Weasley's side.
Harry sees that Ron will still hurt him and that Ginny will put him under potions and Molly and Arthur will lose control of Ron and they will give up on trying to help Harry.
The other images Harry sees that his life will improve if he chooses the deal and he sees that he and Hermione graduate Hogwarts and he is giving a speech and the people who have been there for him are proud of him.
Harry sees himself working in both the wizarding world and the muggle world and he is helping people like himself.
He sees that he and Cedric are still together and he is opening a business with Draco in their wizarding world and he is opening a business in the muggle world with Hermione.
The final images show Harry standing at an altar and he is standing next to his brother who is smiling.
Harry makes his choice and he looks at Molly and Arthur and as much as this pains him, he knows he needs to choose what's best for him.
“Good luck Harry Malfoy and know that you have done the right thing.” Destiny says and she disappears.
“Harry, are you ok? What did you see? What choice did you make?.” Draco asks.
“Draco let your brother breathe before he answers.” Narcissa says.
Draco knows that he is asking too many questions but he is just worried about his brother.
“Sweetheart what choice did you make?.” Narcissa asks.
“Can I speak to Fudge and Madam Bones?.” Harry asks.
“Of course come with me Harry.” Theodore says and he leads Harry to Fudge and Madam Bones.
Harry approaches the front and everyone wonders what he has chosen to do.
Lucius looks at Molly and Arthur and he hopes that they understand the choice his son has made.
Harry tells Madam Bones and Fudge his choice and they nod and they tell Harry he has made the right choice.
Harry walks back and he looks at Ron and he feels sorry for the boy.
“Ronald Bilius Weasley please stand up.” Fudge says.
Ron stands up and you can see he is scared about what's about to be said.
“Ronald Bilius Weasley this court has decided to find you guilty in the crimes you have been arrested for and we have decided on your punishment. You are to be sent to the muggle world where you will be living with a family member and you will no longer have magic as we will be stripping you of your magical ability. You will retain your memories of you being a wizard but you won't be able to tell anyone as a spell will be placed on you to stop you from doing that. You will remember what you have done to Mr Potter and you will feel everything you put him through. You will no longer be allowed to step into our world and your family will not be allowed to contact you anymore.” Fudge says.
“NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT.” Ginny shouts out.
“I'M NOT GIVING UP MY MAGIC” Ron shouts out.
“HARRY YOU STOP THIS RIGHT NOW.” Ginny shouts across the room at Harry.
Arthur grabs Ginny's hand and pulls her down.
“Ronald Weasley you have been found guilty of what you have done and now I as mother magic will remove you magic.
From whence they came, return them now;
vanish the words, vanish his powers.” Mother magic says.
A gust of wind surrounds Ron and he can't fight it and the next thing the wind disappears.
“Your punishment has been given and the victim has chosen his path. Good luck Harry, you will be safe.” Mother magic says.
Kingsley and Dawlish take Ron from the chair and lead him out of the room and it looks like Harry finally got the justice he deserved.
“Let's go.” Harry says.
The group leave and as they are walking past Molly and Arthur, Harry stops.
“Mr and Mrs Weasley I'm sorry for what's happened but I needed to do what was right for me so please understand that.” Harry says and he leaves the courtroom.
Molly and Arthur leave after a few minutes and as much as they want to see their son they know that he has only brought this on himself.
