Crimson Heart
Everyone else had forgotten, but I hadn’t. The cold steel stained with crimson, in an endless eternity. Once it began anew, those who exist within the walls of this world forget, but I will not.
The images stained in my mind; the way her eyes dimmed, as a thousand swords pierced through her small body. Humanity’s hatred, humanity’s love.
I was so young, and now, that me is gone. My filthy, older hands pulling the blade from the center, screams crying out into the night.
I remember, for my sins cannot be washed like the blood from my hands.
