Chapter Text
01 August 1943
Tommy,
You must of really written a lot to her, she’s working hard on a response! She won’t let me read it, so of course I had to do it while she was asleep. She still thinks I go to sleep when she does too.
That’s cute what you did for her, telling her all those little facts about you. I didn’t know you were born in San Celeste. You never told me that. I guess that is crazy then.
If your favorite color isn’t red anymore, what is it? I’m partial to green these days.
Did you like the picture? Did you get it? Aren’t the kids growing so fast? I miss you, and they’re so proud of you too. He just loved that drawing of the ball, though it looked like shit, sorry Tommy but it did! Ha!
I talked with John about taking your picture. He said it might work, something might be possible, if he gets you alone in a room long enough. So ask him next time! Is that possible?
Let me know. I’d love to see you. Lord knows I’d love to see you.
I love you. I miss you. I love seeing you parent, even through letters in a jail, you’re more of a father than most. Regardless of what you think, I am real lucky to have a husband like you. Not everyone is so lucky to have a calm and loving present husband. War or no war.
See you soon, hopefully!
Yours always,
Sarah Angelo
