Chapter Text
Felix didn’t expect Skye to text him first.
Like at all.
But she did.
And he was happy she did because he's a simp-ehem who said that?
skye: u doing anything
felix: depends
skye: on what
felix: if i say yes are u gonna leave me alone
skye: no
felix: then no
There was a pause.
skye: come over
He didn’t even question it because he loves her ❤️ awhhhh such lovebirds
---
Her place was quiet.
Not peaceful quiet. Just… empty.
Felix knocked once before opening the door. “You alive?”
“Yeah,” Skye said. “It’s open.”
He stepped in.
She was on the couch, sleeves pulled over her hands, phone in her lap but not really using it.
“You took long.”
“I walked.”
“You don’t live that far.”
“Still counts.”
She rolled her eyes a little.
Felix sat next to her, leaving some space.
Silence.
He glanced at her.
She looked tired. Not just sleepy, just… off.
He nudged her foot.
She nudged back, barely.
“…You good?” he asked.
“Yeah.”
Too fast.
He didn’t push it yet.
“You’re boring today,” he said.
“Sorry.”
He looked at her again.
“…Don’t do that.”
“Do what?”
“Apologize for existing.”
She didn’t respond to that.
Just stared at nothing.
Felix leaned back, exhaling quietly.
“…You’ve been like this since yesterday.”
“No I haven’t.”
“You have.”
She didn’t argue this time.
She just pulled her sleeves down more, like she was trying to hide her hands completely.
“I’m just tired,” she said.
“From what?”
She shrugged. “Everything.”
Felix didn’t answer.
He just watched her for a second.
“…You don’t have to pretend with me,” he said.
She let out a quiet breath.
“I’m not pretending.”
He didn’t believe that.
But he didn’t say it.
Instead, he looked away.
“…Wanna go out or something?” he asked.
“No.”
“Cool. Amazing plan.”
That got a small reaction.
Barely.
“It’s just weird,” she said after a bit.
“What is?”
“All of it.”
Felix nodded. “Yeah.”
She swallowed.
“I don’t feel like I’m supposed to be here.”
He frowned slightly.
“You are.”
“You don’t know that.”
“Neither do you.”
She went quiet again.
Felix leaned back, trying to keep things normal.
“You’re here. That’s it.”
“That’s a stupid way to think.”
“Yeah. But it works.”
She didn’t argue.
Just sat there.
So he flicked her arm.
She looked at him immediately. “What was that for?”
“You were getting too serious.”
“…You’re so annoying.”
“And yet you texted me.”
She didn’t answer that.
Instead, she shifted a little closer.
Her shoulder brushed against his.
She didn’t move away.
Felix didn’t either.
“…Stay?” she said quietly.
He looked at her.
“…Yeah.”
No jokes.
Just that.
She nodded slightly, relaxing just a bit.
They stayed like that.
Quiet.
But not as heavy.
Felix leaned back.
“You’re still boring,” he said.
“Then leave.”
“Nah.”
She nudged him again.
Stronger this time.
“Better,” he said.
She rolled her eyes.
But there was a small smile there now.
And for now…
that was enough
