Summary:

(Or, Shadow Milk is First Milk’s Genderfluid child, and he has a Sibling.)

Notes:

Haiii~ yall im not dead believe it or not, i really ain’t. I will stop procrastinating and add more chapters to some of my other works really soon, trust.
But this is a fic that I have quite literally procrastinated to begin creation for yearrrs, ever since I started playing Witch’s castle I knew FMC was SMC Mom, so yeah this is me kinda exploring that a little more.
But don’t be fooled, it won’t all be fluff. There will be trails and tribulations along with Earthbread coming into play; the plot will mirror the original ever so slightly, yet so so different.

Alas… I shouldn’t spoil it. So, here is the first chapter. Sorry if it is short I literally wrote this on my phone like a dumbass.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: An Oven Surprise

Chapter Text

“Mammy!” A little girl’s voice called from another room, “Wat dat?” She curiously toddled over, going right by her Mother’s side, whom was mixing some Blueberry Cookie dough in a bowl with one hand.
“It’s Cookie Dough, Luv.” The women replied patiently, carefully yet quickly bringing the bowl higher and the Girl tried to grab at it.
“Coki doh?” She repeated curiously, “No, C-oo-k-ie D-ou-gh. Can you say that Miru? Cookie Dough.” The women slowly corrected, carefully pronouncing each part to her daughter.
“C-oo-ki Douh!” Miru parroted excitedly, as the Women sighed and accepted that she wouldn’t get the word quite yet, before grabbing some flour and dusting the counter with it. “Yes, Cookie Dough.” Madilyn parroted once more, now taking the dough out of the bowl and beginning to roll it out on the flour.
The dough was a bit stickier and soggy than she would’ve necessarily intended, as she had spilt too much milk into it, but what can one do when you have a 4 year old Toddler running around that you have to keep an eye on? She hummed to herself in amusement as she picked up a cookie cutter and got ready to put it in.
But just as she was going to, she felt Miru shove herself into their legs, right behind the knee causing her to stumble-
“Ow-“ Madilyn hissed, feeling the cutter go straight through the side of her finger, bleeding incredibly fast for such a small wound. She shook her hands as she quickly made her way to the sink and began rinsing her finger.
“Mammy has boo-boo?” Miru said in shock, “I give Mammy boo-boo!?” Madilyn was just barely getting a small bandage around the wound when her daughter began to well up with tears.
“Oh luv no-“ She began as the Waterworks began pouring down and Miru began to sob, “I sowy I sowy I- *hic* gib mammy boo-boo I sowy-“ she blabbered.
“Oh Luv calm down please-“ Madilyn rushed over to her, “It isn’t your fault okay? And Mammy is alright, okay baby? It’s alright… shhh….”
It took several long minutes, but eventually, Miru calmed down, falling asleep. Madilyn sighed softly and carried her to the couch, laying her down in the blankets. She walked back to the abandoned dough on the counter, and decided to put the single cut out cookie onto a cookie sheet. For she was too exhausted to cut out the others right now, she put them in her oven and muttered a small flame incantation to turn it on. She than simply sat down, setting a small Temporal Rune to ring when the cookie was done, and began to drift off….

*RING* *RING*

“Wha-“ Madilyn flinched harshly as she heard the Rune go off, quickly shaking off her sleep. “Oh- oh shoot the cookie-“
She stumbled amok her kitchen until she found a pair of oven mitts, and pulled out the freshly baked cookie. Sighing as she wiped sweat from her brow, accumulated from sleeping next to the oven….

“Awababa?”

“OH BY TERRA-“

Notes -
*Madilyn is FMC, or will be.
*The thing that made that sound is baby SMC

Also, I’m terrible at writing dialogue.
