Chapter Text
When Finn and Trevor walked downstairs together, they were immediately hit with the smell of bacon being cooked, among other foods. Trevor’s father was humming a tune while flipping pancakes contentedly.
”Smells good, Dad.” His father smiled and gave him a thumbs up, eyes flicking to the boy next to him.
“Hi! I’m Brandon. You’re Finn, right?” He acknowledged his boyfriend.
”Yeah, nice to meet you…” Finn answered shyly.
”Okay, let’s set the table.” Trevor suggested.
The two got to work doing just that. They placed forks, knives, and plates down and set napkins on the table, too. Once they were done, they sat down in chairs side-by-side, and Finn tilted his head to rest on the other’s shoulder. His partner smiled and nuzzled his head a bit, effectively making him blush lightly.
”Okay, you two! Freshly made.” Brandon exclaimed as he set the plates in front of them and sat down with one of his own across from them.
They started eating in silence, the only sound in the room being forks and knives scraping plates as they clattered against the wooden table.
”So, how long have you guys been together?” He asked in a friendly tone.
”Eight months.” Trevor answered, somewhat guilty that he hadn’t told him before.
He faltered for a second. ”Oh, really! A while then! How come I hadn’t met you until today, then, huh?” He asked, smirking, looking at Finn.
”We didn’t want it to get out to my dad…”
They sat in awkward silence for a moment before Brandon piped up,
“Well, I support you two… just don’t go around canoodling.”
Both Trevor and Finn blushed furiously at his comment, looking anywhere but in front of them.
”Dad!” Trevor whisper-yelled.
”What? It’s true! You’re both 15!”
”Still…!”
”Okay, but seriously! Don’t—“
”Alright, bye.” Trevor abruptly cut off his father and stood up, dragging Finn with him back to his room.
