everyone was sleeping. But among their quiet snores and little noises, a small pop sounded.
"H..huh?"
reader had appeared in the circus. Caine immediately took notice, flying carefully through Kinger's grasp. It was early morning…they had slept in. Oh well. Time to go tell the sun.
"W..where am I? What kinda game is this?"
Oh. Right. He had completely forgotten the reason why he had woke up in the first place. (Not that he needed any sleep, anyway.) A watch appeared on his wrist, and Caine clicked a button that made the sun rise. The others woke up groggily. Now to address the new human! They were looking around at the place with interest. Not fear..huh? They weren't scared?
"Hello there! You're in the amazing digital Circus! I'm the ringmaster here! Sorry about the sleep-in…we weren't expecting anyone. "
they giggled and looked around.
"You sure? This looks like the amazing digital sleepover…and you're the cosymaster."
"Sorry about that…"
A faint blush appeared on his cheeks( ?) As he snapped his fingers, putting the circus back in place. The members woke up woozily, still half-asleep. Soon they were all in their usual attire. the sun had risen by now. Reader watched all this unfold in front of them, taking it in.I
"So..uh…hello? Is this a game or something?"
everyone looked at them with mixed reactions. Caine looked rather…*too* happy compared to the others. What?
"A newbie? Already?"
Ragatha shoved Jax lightly, turning to reader with a smile.
"Well…yes, it is a game. But not one you'd like as much once you understand the circumstanc—"
"You're trapped here."
" JAX! "
a fight started to begin until Pomni stepped in the middle of them.
"Guys. We have a new member. Let them adjust!"
Caine hovered nearby. Watching reader closely as Jax stated the facts.
"I'm stuck here?"
they looked confused rather than scared…huh. That's new.
"So I can't leave?"
everyone nodded. Well, except Kinger . He had gone off, supposedly to his pillow fort.
"Okay…so..are you guys also stuck here?"
they all etheir nodded, said yes, or made a sound of agreement .
Caine was still watching them.
"Huh. So I really am stuck here, huh? That sounds nice."
WHAT? Caine snapped out of his thoughts immediately .
"Nice? Everyone else hates it, though!?!"
everyone was bewildered. They...liked the place?
"Why? It looks like a fun place to live in! So..uh..what's your names?"
" …wait..what's MY name? "
Caine floated down to their eye level.
"It can be almost anything, dear! -Hereby acknowledging that your chosen name and or names may not breach the Digital Circus user license agreement stating that your name may not include objectionable content. Objectionable content includes but is not limited to sexually explicit materials, obscene, defamatory, libelous, slanderous, violent, and or unlawful content or profanity.- WHAT'RE YOU THINKING? "
"Anything? How about…reader"?
reader said the name they had always wanted , even if they didn't remember their real name.
"That's a nice name…anyway! The tour!"
Caine took them around the place, and instead of being annoyed or scared, they were interested. They didn't even bat a eye at the fake red door! They were really starting to grow on him…maybe a bit more then he would admit for now. Could a AI even…?after the tour, Caine let the cast guide them around all the rules. Zooble left, muttering under their breath.
"…I'm going to my room before Jax f[%$#!]s us all. "
"Huh? Was that a swear?"
Ragatha looked at reader a little sheepishly.
"Well…you can't swear here."
" Huh. Okay. So if I try it will just censor it?…f[$%!&]. Oh.That's new. "
Reader really was accepting all of this? It seemed so.
"Oh! Here's your room! Right next to Gangle's! "
the door showed reader's cartoonifyed face on a plague. "Was that my new face?" They wondered.
"Yeah... "
Gangle answered their question, motioning to their new body.
"Wow. This place is really cool."
Caine heard their conversation from afar in his office. A growing sensation like joy built up in him. Did they really mean that?
Because if they did, that was the first time anyone had ever...said his creations were cool.
