Chapter Text
“Hey! No pulling!” Teto wrapped her tail around her legs as Miki tried to tug at it again. The girl chuckled and returned to her previous conversation with Len.
Gumi let out an endearing sigh as Teto rested her head on her shoulder, running her hand through her cherry coloured hair. “Don't blame them for being so curious,”
“I'm not!” The chimera pouted, crossing her arms as she maneuvered her tail away from Len's hands. “I just wished they could keep their hands away from my tail!” She shot a sharp glare to the boy who gladly returned the look.
“I'm so glad you two finally got together, if not, I think I would've just about taken my temper off on a flower on my side,” Miku chirped from the TV, cradling her head in her palm.
“Wait- You knew?” Gumi raised an eyebrow at the sentient cartoon.
“Of course I knew! You two were as obvious as a dead pixel on a pure white screen!” Miku scoffed, shaking her head at the couple.
“I'm glad you two sorted out your feelings, I remember when I was panicking over how to confess to Rei,” Eleanor chuckled as she played with Coffee— Gumi's pet cat— using a feather on a stick. “She ended up just blurting out that she loved me and that's where it all began,”
“I still do not understand the human need to keep such feelings to one self, it makes things much more complicated than required,” Rei took a sip out of the teacup— where the tea went was a complete mystery but they didn't question it— while scratching behind Coffee’s ear at random intervals.
“People are weird, don't ask us,” Kaito closed the door to the freezer, opening up his tub of ice cream. He ate the frozen treat at such a fast pace, he was practically inhaling the dessert. Teto grimaced at the thought of a brain freeze from the guy.
“Now I'm just wondering when you two are gonna f—” Hayden was cut off by a whack on the head by Feng Yi, her expression showing that she was clearly unimpressed with him.
“Ignoring him, congrats on your new relationship!”
“沨漪,我很饿了!” Yi Xi called out from the kitchen, groaning in overdramatic hunger.
“你自己找食物!” Feng Yi retorted, not wanting to deal with her bullshit.
“沨漪好刻薄!!” The cannibal wiped a crocodile tear from her face before disappearing back into the kitchen.
“... What?” Teto could only stare at the scene with question marks floating around her head.
“She's just like that when she's hungry, don't worry about it,” Feng Yi shrugged and made way for the couch to pat Coffee.
Gumi suddenly pressed a kiss to Teto's temple, confusing the chimera. “What? Can't give my adorable little rose a kiss?” she giggled at the blush that overtook her girlfriend's face.
“We just got together yesterday and you're already acting so clingy!” The chimera hid her face in her hands as her face glowed a violent shade of red.
“I can't help but love you so much when you're so cute~” the gardener continued to attack her lover with kisses, indulging in the way she squeaked and struggled.
Gumi's assault of affection was harshly interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat. They looked up to notice Kaito dead panning at the two. “Ok, I get it you guys are really happy that you got a partner. But can you please remember we exist?” he let out a playful glare as he continued shovelling the contents of the ice cream tub into his mouth.
“You two got onto the PDA really damn quick, it took a week for Rei and I to even stand shoulder to shoulder out in public,” Eleanor let out a curious hum before turning her attention back onto the cat that was trying to claw at the feather.
“Excuse me but the PDA is very clearly one-sided!” Teto snarled as she tried to pry open Gumi's grip on her to no avail. She was almost like a kitten being manhandled by its owner.
“Keep saying what you want, dear,” the gardener placed one last kiss on her cheek before going to pick up Coffee. “I think we should head home, Coffee seems to be tired,” she swaddled the Bengal, cooing at the cat.
“You promised me a movie night too!” Teto reminded as Gumi started walking out the studio, the latter responding with a nod of her head.
Kaito looked at the two, grumbling under his breath, “fuckin’ lovebirds,”
Gumi collapsed onto the couch, wrapping herself tightly in a fluffy blanket provided by Teto.
“Popcorn ready, comfy girlfriend and a happy chimera,” her girlfriend settled herself next to her, setting the bowl of popcorn on the table, “what show do you want to watch?”
“Hm… assassination classroom, I want to cry my eyes out tonight,” Gumi grabbed a handful of popcorn and shoved it in her mouth.
“But… Koro-sensei only dies at the end of the series, there's 47 episodes. We're not watching 47 episodes in a single night, Gumi.”
“Ah well, I tried,” the gardener gave a cheeky grin, making the chimera let out an exasperated sigh. “We could watch Bocchi the rock then?”
“Fine by me,” Teto turned on the anime, leaning back and snuggling with her girlfriend burrito.
“You look very pretty in that,” Teto's eyes flicked down to Gumi's nightgown, hugging her baguette bolster as she indulged in her girlfriend's beauty.
“And you look very adorable in your baguette pajamas,” Gumi pressed a kiss to her cheek.
“You can't be talking about my clothing choice, you show up to the studio everyday in gardener clothes!” Teto growled, tail swaying behind her.
“And Rei shows up half naked, I don't see you talking about her choice of attire,” she raised an eyebrow at the pouting redhead, a soft smile on her face. “Keep up your obsession with baguettes, it's very endearing,” she leaned on Teto.
“...” Teto glanced at the woman, a furious blush overtaking her features. “You really are an idiot aren't you?”
“I'm your idiot, don't you forget that,”
“Just go to sleep already! It's 1 in the morning!”
