Chapter Text
Elphaba glared in the direction of the city. She’d never go back, there was no reason to. Well.. there was one, not that Glinda was important enough to actually go back for. No, they had only known each other for a year in college, that was all it was. She sat back onto a log next to where her broom was propped up, going to the city is too dangerous anyways, it's safer out here. It was lonely, but solitude meant security. But oh how’d she miss Glinda’s rambling while she did her makeup in the mornings, their lunches together, their–now friendly–debates about nothing and everything. Her eyes softened, shoulders dropping. She didn’t need Glinda, but oz did she want her, she ached for her. There were more important things to do than sulk over the blonde like helping the animals, but her thoughts kept drawing back to her. Perhaps a selfish visit back couldn’t hurt.
