For almost nine years, Kim Jiwoo experienced the same "dream" over the course of ten nights from the 28th of December to 6th of January. Every Morning after, she would wake up in cold sweat because she kept freezing to death in them. However, a few weeks after her last "nightmare season", she met a quite… weird individual on a forum about recurring nightmares.
She soon developped an online relationship with that girl who slowly became toxic. She started bodyshaming her and commenting on her body often, even though Jiwoo fit the korean beauty standard kind of well. That online girlfriend of hers eventually triggered her eating disorder. Her girlfriend also started to give her poor "advice" on both her mental and physical health, one of them being:
"If you don't want to experience these nightmares so bad then just don't sleep at all. Atleast that's what i did." Being the naive girl that she is, Jiwoo held onto her "advice", not knowing it would cost her her life.
A few months later, Jiwoo's nightmare season started and acted on her online partner's advice. During the first two nights, she slept very little ; she tried to pull an all nighter but ended up falling asleep very late before waking up in less than two hours for a certain reason. But she managed to stay awake the remaining eight nights. Although, living off diet coke, rice cakes, eggs whites and orbit gum these past few days and the lack of sleep led her to a tragic end.
On the morning of January 7th, Jiwoo's mom found her daughter's motionless body lying on her bed. Her autopsy showed she died from cardiac arrest due to an undiagnosed condition.
Her online girlfriend found out about her death three weeks later while looking for signs of her on her family members socials. Sooyoung, her online girlfriend, didn't expect her to die from all of this. Though, She wasn't a bit sad, infact, she was rather disappoited. Yet, something in her guts told her to interact with her one last time. They did live quite far away tho, approximatively three hours of road.
Jiwoo lived her whole life and was buried in Cheongju while Sooyoung lived in Pusan. Sooyoung thought to herself that seeing the person she was in a relationship in, and whom she basically killed, for one last time was most likely worth a three hours long ride, plus Cheongju was a nice city. She would probably find a place to stay at for a while and probably visit some cheap touristic attraction.
It's not like she'll go back home haunted by the ghost of a certain someone right? But even if she does, it's not like she can see ghosts right?
