My Wings, Your Flames, Our Petals

Chapter 20: Chapter 20

Summary:

Hey guys! Final chapter! So, as mentioned in the notes of the last chapter, the war did happen. None of the League died, because it's my story and I can do that. Also, I wanted to wrap this up because it felt like it was dragging on. So, heres the epilogue!

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

It's been six years since the war ended. Six years since All for One was defeated by Tomura Shigaraki, who is now going by his birth name of Tenko Shimura again, and Izuku Midoriya. And it's been six years since Hawks and Dabi finally settled down. Not wanting to be taken advantage of again, Hawks hung up his jacket and started going by the name Keigo once again. Dabi had finally put his villain name to rest as well, going by the name of Touya Todoroki. The two had settled down in a small house in the country side, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Currently, Touya was in the kitchen, cooking dinner for his boyfriend and two kids. They had adopted two years ago, getting a twin boy and girl.

'Hey Touya!" Keigo hollered from the living room. Touya turned the stove off so nothing would burn, walking into the living room to see what Keigo wanted.

"What's up birdie?" Keigo lists his phone, showing Touya an invitation that had just come though.

"Shoto's getting married. Guess him and Kirishima decided to tie the not after all." Keigo states. "Shoto wants you to be his best man. And he messaged and said no, you do not have to wear a penguin suit." Touya chuckled. When he had been Natsou's best man in his, Spinner's, and Shigaraki's wedding, he had to wear this ridiculous suit that had bothered his staples and scars a lot. He was thankful that his youngest brother had decided he didn't have to wear one.

"Well, that's good. When's the date?" He asks. Keigo looks at his phone, scrolling down on the message to find the save the date info.

"In about two months. I think that works for us, don't you? And it's not a child-free wedding, Kaen and Hikari can come with us." Keigo states, watching the now seven year old play with whatever had peaked their interest. Hikari looked up at the sound of her name.

"Where are we going Daddy?" She asks, setting her doll down.

"We're going to a wedding for Uncle Shoto." Keigo says, laughing as Hikari wrinkles her nose. The girl had definitely taken after her Papa when it comes to romance.

"Ew. We have to watch Uncle Shoto and Uncle Kiri kiss? Do I have to dress up Daddy?" She asks, causing a giggle from her twin.

"Why don't we put you you in the penguin suit, Kari?" Kaen asks, giggling. Hikari scowls, taking her brother and they tumble to the ground, wresting and laughing. Touya laughs, hopping over the couch and plopping down beside his boyfriend.

"They remind me of us." He says, wrapping an arm around Keigo's shoulders. Keigo hums, leaning into Touya's hold.

"You mean one of them is a ball of sunshine and the other is emotionally constipated?" He smirks, yelping when Touya pinches him. "Ok, Ok, sorry!" He laughs.

"Hell yeah you're sorry. Calling me emotionally constipated like I don't put up with you every day." Touya mutters, rolling his eyes. Keigo sticks his tongue out.

"You know you love me." He teases the other. Touya chuckles, pulling Keigo closer.

"Damn right I do. Nearly had a damn flower kill me because I love you." Touya states. The kids pause from their wresting looking at their dads.

"Ew! Daddy and Papa are going to kiss!" Hikari shouted. Keigo and Touya smirk before the older man pulls the other into a very loud, defenitely exaggerated kiss. Both kids scream and run to their rooms. Keigo laughs.

"Just you kids wait! You'll find love one day!" He teases. "If your Papa can find love, then theres- OW! Touya!" He exclaims grabbing the back of his head from where Touya had slapped him.

"Yes Kei?" He asks, smirking. Sometimes Keigo would forget that Touya and Dabi were the same person. It's time like these, with Touya's smirk and the dangerous glint shining in his eyes, that Keigo is reminded of the fact that his boyfriend was a serial arsonist and ex-villain. Keigo huffs, crossing his arms and knowing he's lost.

"Shut up, Tou." He mutters. He looks up about three seconds before the doorbell rings, his feathers having picked up on the couple outside the door. He hesitates, knowing who would be out there, but gets up and walks to the door, Touya close behind. He opens the door, engulfed by Fuyumi's hug before she moves onto her brother, fussing over how thin he was and checking his staples. Keigo chuckles before turning to the other woman standing there. Rumi stood there, just as awkward as he was. What once had been a close friendship between the two hetoramorphs had turned into something that needed more than a single apology to fix. They were getting there, slowly, but something in the back of Keigos mind always reminded him that things would never be the same as it used to be. And Keigo was ok with that.

"Rumi." He says, standing aside so she can enter. Rumi nods in greeting, stepping in. The twins bound out squealing when the realize who was there.

"Auntie Rumi! Auntie Yumi!" They shout, colliding with the two women. Fuyumi laughs, scooping up Kaen and spinning him around while Rumi grabs Hikari and tickles her. Touya pulls a paper out of his pocket, grabbing Fuyumi's attention. She sets Kaen down, taking the paper from him.

"It has their schedule. Don't let them fool you, they've had enough sugar today. And please get them in bed by eight-thirty at the latest." Touya stresses, clearly trying to get the point across. His sister laughs, pocketing the paper.

"Touya, you don't need to stress. We've watched the twins before. We know what to expect. Go have fun you two love birds." She says, playfully shoving the two out of the house. Keigo laughs, grabbing Touya's hand and pulling him along.

"Thanks Fuy! You're the best!" Keigo shouts over his shoulder before the door closes. "So, Touya, where are we going?" He asks. Touya smiles.

"I figured we would go somewhere that would remind us of how this all started." He says, taking the lead.

Touya and Keigo spent the rest of the evening in the flower garden. And if they lingered a little to long near a patch of Dandelions and Black Dahlia's that happened to be growing right beside each other well, there was no one there to point it out to them. After all, Touya and Keigo's story started with just a few petals.

Notes:

Guys. The amount of time I had to rewrite a section because I wrote Dabi instead of Touya, or Hawks instead of Keigo was insane.
