Summary
Keigo has gotten there just as a new fight is about to start. A kid is being dragged into the pit. They have a heavy bird mutation, and they look absolutely feral. They are twisting and jerking in the hold of the three villains, lashing out with sharp taloned feet and letting out high, aggressive whistles. The kid has on heavy restraints, their wings pinned to their back and a heavy muzzle on their face.
Keigo’s ears twitch as the announcer speaks. “Aaaand now, the event you’ve all been waiting for! I present you with the running champion of the Feral Pit, Emerald Hummingbird!”
The crowd roars its approval as the kid is released from the restraints. They spin around with bared teeth, lunging towards the retreating villains. The gate slams down just before they reach them. Immediately, the kid is darting around the caged pit, throwing himself at the cage.
It’s obvious that this kid has seen and been in more than their fair share of fights. Scars cover all the skin that isn’t covered up by feathers. They also have a feral look in their eyes. No kid should look like that. They look to be barely ten years old.

bakugo katsuki and izuku midoria are long time rivals. rivals. not enemies. the love between them is deeper than romance and friendship and sometimes the friends around them wonder if they where hit with a soulmate quirk when they where younger. bakugo is an angry spiteful teenager. or so you would think. the soft smile the appears on someone’s face when they laugh doesn’t exist for bakugo katsuki right? maybe you are right. or maybe you should read and find out. izuku midoria is never in control. he fought his whole life. for his quirk, his friends, his family, his life. He fought for the world and now. Now he can finally rest. or so he thinks. back in ua back in school their studies still resume. the town they lived in held a memorial and gravestones upon gravestones where put in place but not name carved out on a stupid stone will fix the lost izuku midoria couldn’t stop from happening. so now when bakugo katsuki starts to become less like an angry chihuahua izuku feels like maybe life will start to look up. oh but wait! that never happens around here does it.
or
bakugo katsuki is a pining mess who struggles with internalised homophobia and izuku midoria is clueless.

“Deku, look in the fucking mirror.” Katsuki’s voice held an uncanny amount of fear in it. Izuku had never heard such a confident boy sound so disturbed before.
“Kacchan, wha–” Izuku felt his heart drop to his stomach.
The boy in the mirror staring back at him was not the reflection Izuku knew. No, this couldn’t be happening. His curly green hair had been replaced by blonde tufts and in the absence of those large, expressive green eyes, layed a pair of thin red ones. His freckles and natural tan had disappeared for a paler more muscular body. But this body wasn’t his. This body was Katsuki’s.
