‘EYES ON YOU, WE ARE F/ACE!’
‘It’s finally time to surprise Keito. I’m so excited!!’ Natsuki bobbed up and down in his seat restlessly.
‘Me too! I’m super nervous for Keito’s reaction though. I hope he going to like it!’ Ouri was adjusting the position of the flowers, trying to make it just right.
Meanwhile, Tamon was staring longingly at the cupcakes. ‘These cupcakes look so tasty…! You guys really outdid yourselves!’
‘Aw, thanks Tamon!’ Ouri said as Rintaro nodded in acknowledgement. ‘But make sure you don’t eat them all before we present them to Keito!’
‘I’ll try… but no promises~’
‘Anyway, Keito should be coming over any moment now.’ Natsuki said. ‘We gotta be ready when he does!’

Gods, what do they want from me now…?
Keito wasn’t in a particularly good mood when he entered the filming set, let alone capable of sustaining his persona.
The only information he was given for this shoot was that the other members were gonna surprise him, and he’d have to act happy about it.
Keito set his bag down and sighed.
Now that he thought about it, all of the others had also been really vague with him these past few days. For example, suddenly going quiet when he walked by.
‘Oh,’ Natsuki had said one instance, ‘we’re just discussing what shares we should invest in.’
Natsuki was talking with Ouri at that time.
And Ouri does NOT possess enough braincells to think about the stock market.
However, his train of thought was interrupted by someone telling him it was his cue to enter the set.
Which led to whatever was going on now.
‘HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY KEITO!!’ The others cheered.
what?
‘THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A GOOD MATERNAL FIGURE FOR US!!’ Natsuki exclaimed happily.
Ouri nodded politely. ‘We wanted to show our appreciation by doing something for you this Mother’s Day!’
‘We hope you like it!’ Tamon said.
Truth be told, this wasn’t the worst of what Keito was expecting when he get summoned here. In fact, it even bordered a pleasant surprise.
But… isn’t this something you do for your mum? [MOM FOR YOU AMERICANS 🇺🇲🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲🦅🦅🇺🇲🦅]
The room went quiet and Keito realised that they were waiting for his response.
*performative gasp* ‘You guys did all of this for me? Thank you so much!’ Keito grinned happily.
Meanwhile, Ouri was already speaking again. ‘Tamon and Natsuki got the decorations, Rintaro and I baked the cupcakes and then Tamon and Rintaro had to get the flowers the day before!’ Ouri giggled. ‘We could’ve almost forgotten those!’
Keito kept a idle smile on his face but honestly, WHAT WAS GOING ON????
‘And of course,’ Tamon continued, ‘we all pitched in to make you a card!!’
Rintaro wordlessly handed him the card.
‘A card? For me?’ Keito accepted it gratefully. ‘Thank you so much!’
Natsuki patted the spot next to him. ‘Please, feel free to sit down.’ he said while Tamon reached for a cupcake.
Natsuki playfully smacked him. ‘You need to wait until Keito’s sat down to start eating!’
‘Sorry!’ Tamon put his hands up. ‘They just looked so tasty, I couldn’t help it!’
‘It’s alright, Natsuki.’ Keito put a hand on his shoulder. ‘All of you can eat the cupcakes, I really don’t mind.’
‘YAYYY!’ Tamon immediately started devouring the cupcakes.
‘Leave some for us!’ Ouri laughed as Rintaro silently reached for one.
‘Here ya go, Keito!’ Natsuki handed him a cupcake.
‘Thank you!’ Keito took the cupcake from Natsuki but didn’t eat it.
Instead, he decided to take a look at the card.
‘You guys made the card look so nice!’ Keito exclaimed, genuinely shocked. ‘How do you do it?’
Ouri coughed. ‘I’m gonna be honest, Rintaro and Natsuki did most of it.’
‘HE’S SO ARTISTICALLY TALENTED!!’ Natsuki marvelled… kinda loudly.
Rintaro gave a nod of gratitude.
‘You also designed it, Natsuki!’ Tamon said, nudging him playfully. ‘Allow some praise for yourself!’ (what am i writing)
Natsuki laughed. ‘I do think Tamon added the most meaningful contribution though.’
At that, everyone but Keito had to restrain a laugh.
‘Really? What did he add?’ Keito pretended to be oblivious to their barely repressed laughter.
‘I guess you’ll just have to see…!’ Tamon winked playfully at Keito.
‘Oh! Um… Alright.’ Keito slowly opened the card. ‘Here goes nothing…’
WHAT IS THIS 💀
‘This looks amazing but… where did yall get a photo of me filming Mama Keito’s 30 Minute Cooking™ from?’
‘You don’t need to know that!’ Ouri said, a beat too quickly. ‘How about you read our messages to you instead.’
‘Alright, I’m sure they great!’ Keito scanned the messages.
Luckily for him, all the messages were actually phrased like a normal Mother’s Day card (even though it wasn’t normal to celebrate mothers day with your bandmate 🥀). Probably in case someone decided to decode the messages with one pixel of insight.
Keito breathed a sigh of relief as he gently closed the card, even though he was kinda creeped out about that photo.
Ouri looked at the plate the cupcakes used to be in.
‘Are all the cupcakes finished already?’
Everyone looked at Tamon.
‘What?’ He responded innocently.
Natsuki turned to the camera awkwardly. ‘Well, now that we’ve done everything we could to celebrate Mother’s day with Keito, I think we should wrap it up.’
‘Bye!’ Everyone waved at the camera.
As soon as everyone on set was busy soing something else, Keito inhaled deeply.
