Chapter Text

"How deep underwater are we?" Tim inquired as he noticed very big fish outside of the base.

Danny paused. "I don't know... Never really needed to measure it"

"Do you know what those fish are called?" Tim pointed outside of the ice window.

"Oh that's a boneshark, they are always fun to play with" Danny chuckled to himself.

"You play with them?" Tim asked bewildered. How the hell can someone play with something like that!?

"Mhm, it's also so funny when they try to bite me only to swim through me. It confuses them so much that it's hilarious"

Great, not only was he however deep underwater, but also surrounded by human eating bonesharks. This can't get any better can it? Tim thought disappointedly. His original plan of how to get out and away got even more dangerous than it needed to be.

Not only had he dropped his tablet somewhere in the ocean, but now was basically dependent on his captor. Because he was the only way outside. So he in theory just needed to cling to Danny when he Phased out again. Very dangerous idea, but better than being stuck inside of here.

So Tim made sure to stay in grabbing distracted from Danny. The glowing boy seems to be a bit weary of him, but otherwise didn't think much of it. Danny picked up a Blueprint and narrowed his eyes. This was not supposed to be on the floor...

He looked over to the human. "Did you go through my stuff?"

"Yeah, there's not much else to do here" The human shrugged nonchalant.

Danny wanted to bang his head against his wall. He completely forgot how curious humans can be. Especially if nothing is distracting them. Instead he sighed and put it back on his terrible excuse of a table. He really needed to snack more furniture before the ship completely explodes.

With a determined looked he started to float up only to be grabbed by said human. "Let go!"

"No! Bring me back to the life pod!" The guy demanded.

"I am not going to your stupid life pod!" Danny exclaimed as he tried to pry the other boy off of him, but his grip tightened. Danny's shoulders slump and he landed back onto the floor.

"Please, I don't want to be trapped here" Tim begged pleadingly. He even started to cry to be more convincing.

Danny grimaced and gave him a comforting hugged back. He can't deal with this. How the hell was he even qualified to take care of a human. He should have really just killed him. But instead he remembered the human wound and carefully touched his head.

Tim stiffened as a sudden cool washed over his burning headache, before completely slumping into this aliens embrace. He was a bit cooler than a regular human. Until something washed over Danny and he felt as warm as anyone.

"How about we take care of your injury first" Danny offered, still petting his back comfortingly.

Tim let out a low whine. How the hell can this creature be this comforting? It made him realize how tried he was from this whole situation. Originally one of the crew members had apparently taken an artifact into the Aurora. Which he was supposed to secure, without it triggering. Much to say he might have failed.

It was pretty easy to infiltrate the ship itself. But the artifact was hidden pretty hard. So he couldn't get his hands on it until the ship took off into space. Yeah not his best moment, especially since he was now stuck with an alien taking care of him.

Said Alien rummaged through a box nearby after having inspected his injury. Tim already missed Danny's embrace, because for some unknown reason that was safe. The safest place he ever came across. Which is bad. Danny should be anything but safe. He almost drowned him for God's sake.

"I hope vine bandages are good enough..." Danny commented thoughtfully.

"Probably" Tim shrugged and yawned.

"You are not going outside until that healed" Danny declared confidently.

"No! Please, a concussion is really not that bad!" Tim defend himself.

Only to realize that Danny wasn't glowing anymore. He looked exactly like a human. Black hair, normal blue eyes and even his clothes were painfully normal. Danny came back over to him with the bandages and carefully wrapped them around his head.

What was he doing!? He was supposed to get rid of the guy! Not to take care of him! Aaaaahhhh! what the fuck was wrong with him? Danny hated how his ghost basically latched on to the one person that he shouldn't protect. Yes, it's been a long time since he had someone anyone to really protect other than himself. BUT A HUMAN OF ALL THINGS!?

Notes:

Btw Danny is not an actual sea creature. He is just his Halfa self. Tim just assumes.
