Chapter 4: i wanted you to know²

Summary:

Kimi had to deal with an almost dead body on his arm.

Chapter Text

It wasn't bad luck, or karma, it was just a path that Kimi had to follow, but he didn’t wanted to.

He could have left it on the ground, run away, and ignored for the rest of his life what had happened. Maybe even do it for the rest of his life, stay in a closet and let himself die.

But it wasn't the path he had taken.

His path was more complicated, fraught with pitfalls and especially with a much heavier weight in his hands. A weight that measured one meter eighty-eight and was far too heavy for his arms.

In a state of panic, Kimi had tried to slide Ollie onto his back, holding his legs around his waist. His arms were resting on his shoulders, while his head, still lifeless, was nestled on the top of his skull.

His levitation powers were quite useful in this kind of situation, but what was even more so were his parents.

Parents who had woken up in a panic when his mother felt the magical barrier of the house break. She had woken up with a start and rushed down the stairs at full speed, even missing some of the steps.

She had a silk nightgown and gloves of the same texture that allowed her to concentrate her powers at night. But all that hadn't stopped her from rushing into the living room, tossing her gloves aside, ready to protect herself and her family.

She hadn't found what she had hoped to see there, not angry former family members, it was much worse than that. Her son had placed his hands under his eyes, visibly red, wiping away the few tears that had fallen on his cheeks. He was pacing back and forth in his living room, a visibly worried look on his face.

Veronica was initially surprised to see no one else but him, clenching his hands and cracking his fingers while sighing. But as she ran towards him, she saw her vision expand to reveal the couch where Oliver was lying.

He didn't even have a sweater, just a slightly torn blue t-shirt and black jeans that fell over his legs, reaching up to his hips.

His eyelids were closed while one of his arms rested on his body and the other lay above his head, falling onto the armrest of the couch.

She moved forward in one swift motion, raising her eyebrows, placing her hand over her mouth, leaving a silence in the room.

"Kimi? What the hell is this?" She asked, extending her hands towards his body lying on the couch.

"I don't know, I..." Kimi had trouble finding his words, he stuttered, placing his hands on his face, but nothing came out.

"What's going on?" Asked his father, stretching his arms and scratching behind his neck.

In turn, he realised the extent of the scene; having an unconscious teenager in his living room was not part of his plans for the night. He stepped forward in front of the couch next to his son, sitting in the armchair.

“He... He collapsed or probably fainted, I don’t understand... I think it's my fault." Kimi kept pacing around the coffee table, letting his fingers rub against each other.

His mother, who was trying her best to understand the situation, didn't seem able to handle the stress emanating from her son's body. She placed her hand on his shoulder, stopping him in his tracks and forcing him to sit in the chair right across from his father's.

"What do you mean, it's your fault?" Veronica had kept her hand on his shoulder, leaning forward towards him, her tone no longer funny or evasive, she imagined the worst, even believing that he had tried to kill him.

"Well, I have...Fuck..."

"What did you do ?" Asked her mother coldly, shaking his shoulders with both hands.

"Kimi, I'm tired, hurry up." His father didn't seem to be keeping his cool either.

“Kissed. I kissed him.”

His mother frowned, looking at her husband before bursting into laughter. Marco smiled a few seconds later, putting his hand over his mouth, holding back a laugh.

"What?!" Kimi snapped as he stood up in front of his mother, who seemed to be in a much better mood than he was.

"Kimi…You scared us!" His mother moved towards the couch, pushing Oliver's legs to the floor, sitting down beside him. She turned her face towards the teenager, taking his right arm in her hand and lifting it into the air just before letting it go again.

No reaction.

"That's not funny!"

His father tried to regain his composure, running his hand over his arm and scratching gently.

"Darling, he's right, I don't know how we're going to wake him up."

His mother sighed before standing up in front of the couch and crouching down in front of him, slipping her arms under his back and the other under his legs. Veronica stood up, carrying the teenager in her arms before placing him on the kitchen table, letting the other two settle around him.

"Well..." His mother lowered her face, tapping the tips of her fingers against the table as she saw Kimi lean over Oliver’s face, running his hand through his hair.

His son was clearly worried.

She hated seeing him like that.

"Well, did you just kiss him?" She asked again.

"Yes. But I don't know, at some point he... Let go and he fell.”

"Hm..." She wanted to help him but Kimi was her first child and until then, they hadn't really had any major problems, but this was another level.

"Mom...?" He asked with a trembling voice. His mother raised her head, nodding gently. "He's a boy." It wasn't a request, or an answer, it was a statement.

"Yes, it seems obvious to me. So what?”

His father seemed to have understood his son's worry much more quickly.

"Well... I like men." Kimi looked even more worried about talking about that than the real problem right in front of them.

"No one is perfect Kimi." Veronica smiled, passing her hand over the forehead of the unconscious teenager.

"It's not funny, Mom."

"It's just that..." Her mother took a deep breath, looking up at his father who nodded. "We already suspected it."

“It's true that... It's quite obvious.”

“What? But how did you...?" Kimi was still desperately searching for his words, his fingers intertwined, his eyes lowered towards Oliver, still unconscious.

"Kimi, you've never had a girlfriend, you've never been interested in women, you've never talked to us about it, and then you were a big fan of Queen and Interview with a Vampire and you-"

“Interview with a Vampire? What's the deal with this movie?”

"Have you watched it recently?" Asked her mother in a very serious tone.

"No mom, I haven't watched that fucking movie recently."

"It's the gayest movie I've ever seen in my life." Continued his mother, laughing, looking at his father who nodded with a slight smile on his face.

"She's not wrong."

"Oh!" Their son exclaimed, surprising them as they jumped. "You knew it from the beginning and you didn't tell me?!"

"We thought you knew, that you just didn't dare to tell us." Tried to respond, his father stepped forward towards him while he took a step back.

“You knew it ! And you didn't tell me, and now that... Now that I've kissed a guy, he dies?!" Kimi raised his voice, he lifted his face towards them, slamming his hand on the wooden table.

"Come on... He's not dead.” His mother smiled, moving to the other side of the table in front of her son, right next to Oliver's face.

She ran her hand over his neck, placing two of her fingers under his chin to check his pulse.

Her face suddenly lost its smile, raising her eyebrows in panic and looking at her husband. In turn, he looked at her worried, waiting for her to speak.

"Fuck..."

"Mom...?" He asked, raising his face.

"No, I'm just kidding, he's just sleeping." His face regained its smile, his features softened and he started laughing in front of them.

Marco and Kimi looked at each other, raised their eyebrows, and sighed in unison at her, who was laughing even harder.

"Fuck, this isn't funny..."

Marco calmly tapped his shoulder, making him take a step back; sometimes Kimi had trouble with her mother's humour.

"So what do we do now?"

"Well, I'm going to...I'm going to try something." His father shifted his son to the side, finding himself in front of his wife. He looked at her hesitantly, tilting his head to show Kimi, indicating for her to let him out. He raised both hands above the teenager's body, making him stiff, a faint blue glow settled around him as his body began to levitate a few centimetres.

"Wh... What is he doing?" Asked Kimi, visibly worried, reaching out his hand towards Oliver's body. Veronica held him back, pulling him towards her, she quickly glanced at her husband before taking her son to the living room.

Kimi was walking, well, he was trying to, his feet weren't really holding up and he felt his knees becoming weak, his brain was heavy. It terrified him, he couldn't have hurt him that much, not intentionally. Not just... By kissing him.

Kimi finally sat down on one of the armchairs in the living room, he ran his hand over his forehead while his leg started to tremble.

"Mom, I... If something happens to him, I will-” His hands were pressed against his face over his eyes, trying to catch his breath.

"Nothing will happen to him, okay. Your father is talented; he's used to solving magical transmission problems...”

Kimi had lowered his elbows onto his knees, bending his back forward, his face wrapped between his arms, holding back his sobs.

"Wait..." He raised his head. "What do you mean by magical transmission?"

"Kimi..." She took a deep breath, running her hand over her son's shirt, caressing his back. "We haven't told you much about this yet because...You haven't had this kind of problem yet.”

"What kind of problem are you talking about?" Aggressively, he pushed her hand off his back, standing up in front of her.

"Sit down and calm down. I will explain it to you." Kimi straightened up on his back, taking a step back. He clearly had no intention of moving. "Was it... Your first kiss? With him?”

His eyebrows furrowed.

"Yes, obviously!"

“So... It's normal." His mother was confident, relaxed, as if all of this wasn't a problem.

"How is that normal?!"

"When you kiss someone..." His mother seemed embarrassed to share this information with him. "You pass on your saliva to him."

"What do you mean?" At that moment, he sat down.

"You mixed your saliva with his and you know we never take you to the doctor except for your vaccinations?"

"Yes, you prefer to treat me yourself, so what?"

"No, it's not for that, Kimi." She glanced behind the kitchen wall to see how far along his father was. "It's because in our blood, our saliva, or our DNA, everything you can pass on, is full of magical particles."

Kimi was trying his best to understand what she was trying to say, but it was more complicated than that.

"So, in practice, what did I actually do to him?"

"You transmitted a bit of your magic into his body and he couldn't handle it." Kimi shook his head from side to side, as if to say no, refusing the information. "But it's normal, he's a human, that's how I realised your father had powers and could have this blood transfusion, if he had been a normal human he would have died."

"Ok but... What does that mean?”

"Well, I'll make it short for you, your saliva filled with magic mixed with his, his body didn't understand and rejected your ARN, he fainted."

Kimi closed his eyes, visibly tired, wiping away his last tears. He raised his gaze towards her as if waiting for the rest of her sentence.

“The more you kiss him, the more his body will get used to it. And one day, he won't even notice it anymore, but knows that at first, his body will react badly and especially he will..." Kimi hated it when his mother was hesitant.

"What's he up to?"

"Forgotten. Tomorrow morning, he will have forgotten.”

It should have suited him, but deep down, it broke his heart.

"You have to come up with a lie to explain to him tomorrow."

Kimi leaned back against the chair's backrest, placing his hands on his face.

"I will never touch a man again in my life."

“ I don't know if it's a good idea and I don't want to be the kind of mother who forces your actions, if you want to go back to him it's your choice. But at least you're aware of the consequences... Is it serious with him?”

Good question.

He didn't have the answer, he hadn't even had time to think about it.

No time to think about the fact that he loved men and that this man was Oliver.

"I don't know."

"Never mind. You know what, I don't even want to know. You do whatever you want." Veronica had always been confident in the education she provided, preferring to prevent rather than cure without putting obstacles in his way or even preventing him from experimenting.

"But?" He knew her too well.

"I don't like that your first kiss is with a dealer or ex-dealer, it doesn't matter. And also that it was with a guy who…I remind you. Fought with you and insulted you…” Kimi didn't know what to say to him, even though he didn't understand why either. "Is that really your style?"

"Mom, it's none of your business."

"Okay, sorry." A silence fell between the two of them, he had too many things to think about but his mother's gaze was much worse to bear.

"What?"

"Before you make up your mind, no matter when you do, you should know that you should also avoid… You see." Kimi squinted his eyes, frowning.

"I don't see it, no."

"To sleep with him."

"Mom, I don't want to have this conversation, thanks." He turned his head to the other side of the room, trying to ignore her.

"It's important, because now that I'm sure you like men, you already have to be careful about diseases and use condoms, but now there's also the danger of your magic and I-"

"For fuck sake, Mom, get to the point."

"You can do it, but it's super dangerous, even for two men. Because I don't know if you know, but in your sp-” Kimi's eyes widened, his hands flew to his ears in sheer panic, ignoring his mother.

"Mom, I don't want the details!"

“Go easy and check that he's okay, that he can still talk, that he's breathing well, but you need to stay discreet and not let him understand why you're paying so much attention. I know it's annoying, but if you don't want to kill him or just put him in danger, do it." Kimi nodded. "And consent is super important so-"

"Come here!" His father shouted from the other end of the room, making them both panic. They rushed one after the other, stopping around the table where Oliver was lying, levitating, his father's magic still surrounding him.

After a few seconds, the blue beam on his body deactivated. Oliver slowly fell back onto the table where his father had placed his arms to catch him.

"I'm going to take him to your room." Kimi nodded quickly, watching as he carried Oliver in his arms.

He and his mother followed him up the stairs, step by step, Kimi felt only the weight of guilt on his shoulders. Yet, he owed Oliver nothing, no feelings, no promises, nothing. But despite everything, he felt guilty, a feeling that nestled far too close to his heart.

He absolutely had to erase that idea from his mind.

He watched his father lay Oliver's body on his bed. He looked... Calm, gentle, at peace, as if nothing could touch him, even though he had never been so vulnerable.

He had no idea what to do, whether to stay away or stay, he knew he had to make this decision alone because the closer he got to him, the more danger he put himself in, his family too, and even Oliver was in danger because of that fucking curse.

He hated himself.

"He should wake up in..." Marco looked at his watch, "4 or 5 hours, not more."

A slight silence fell in the room between them when they heard the sound of the rain falling outside.

The night was rather calm, yet the water falling against his window resonated more like a song, a lullaby for Oliver. Thinking back, Kimi remembered that it was probably one of the first nights that Oliver wouldn't spend alone.

"Wait, but your guy is super tall, it's crazy." His mother's remark pulled him out of his thoughts, raising his eyes to her.

"Sorry, my dear..." His father let a comforting smile spread across his face, placing his hand on his right shoulder, holding him firmly. Every time he made that gesture, he felt like a soldier being reprimanded by his superior. This time he just wanted to be reassuring. "Did you find something to say to him tomorrow morning?"

"No, I'll improvise." His father nodded, patting him on the shoulder before sitting down right next to Veronica, both of them watching their sons.

"I'm sorry...He will have to forget what happened while you... You'll never forget it.” Kimi finally let go of his gaze from Oliver, who turned towards them in turn. "I've been there." She said with a smile, noticing her son's tired expression. Veronica took a slight breath before leaning towards him to take him in her arms, rubbing his back to reassure him.

"Well, we should all go to bed." His father clapped his hands together, heading towards the hallway with a determined stride, pulling his wife's shoulder along with him.

Her mother smiled at him, waved goodbye before heading down the hallway herself. "Good night." Veronica first turned off the hallway light before hearing his response and closing the door behind her.

Kimi found himself with Oliver's lifeless body in his bed, wondering when he would wake up.

One of the worst or the best nights of his life, he couldn't decide.

The pain in Oliver's head was far too heavy, as if a weight had fallen on his back.

But he couldn't open his eyes, he was incapable of doing so, his consciousness was very much present yet his eyelids wouldn't open.

Until... He felt a hand resting on his cheek, it was small and gentle, like a feather gliding against his cheek. This hand was accompanied by a calm voice calling his name, and this time, he recognised it.

His eyes opened all at once, a sudden blow to his body surprised him, hitting him squarely in the abdomen. The pain took over his body as he quickly straightened his back, gasping for breath

Kimi was just as surprised as he was, he backed against the wall where the pillows were placed.

"Shit! You scared me!” Kimi had been scared, but he had mostly been reassured.

“What the... What am I doing here? "Asked Oliver, surprised, shifting a few centimetres away from him.

"Don't you remember?"

"No!" Oliver was not just lost, he understood nothing, his voice was trembling, angry. He lifted the sheet to look at the clothes underneath. "Do we have...!?"

He really didn't remember anything.

“No! Of course not!”

"So what am I doing here!?" Oliver looked around him, grabbing his shirt from the ground to put it on his bare chest. His tone was cold, Kimi hadn't expected such a chilling response.

"You walked me home yesterday." Nice lie, he should do it much more often. "You started having a headache and fainted, I brought you back."

Oliver furrowed his brows, running his hands through his hair to push it back, turning his face towards him aggressively.

"That’s all?"

"Yes, Oliver, that's all." Kimi had pulled his legs up to his chest, his arms wrapped around himself, huddling against himself.

"Did I scare you?" He asked worriedly, extending his hand towards Kimi’s.

Kimi got out of bed, turning away from his hand before picking up his phone from the nightstand. "You should go."

"Wait..." Oliver advanced on his knees, dragging himself towards him, lifting his eyes. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get angry."

"It's not a big deal." Kimi saw the messages from his parents on the phone, the path was clear, Oliver shouldn't have to stay here any longer. "Get dressed, my parents made breakfast and we have class."

"Breakfast?"

"Yeah, well, Italian style, you know." He smiled as he put his phone in his back pocket. Kimi grabbed his school bag resting on his seat, placing his belongings inside under Oliver's gaze. Oliver got up from the bed, grabbing his black pants and slipping into them.

Oliver crossed the room, admiring Kimi's decor, ran his hand over the bed, caressing the golden sheets before stopping in front of him, "But are you sure nothing else happened?" His head tilted to the side, a suspicious look on his face, Oliver had not lost his habits, even in the haze and high at 7 in the morning, he continued to flirt with him. "Because I remember something else."

He moved his hand through his curly hair, pushing it slightly back to illuminate his face. "Not you?"

"Hmm..." Kimi pretended to think about it before standing up on his tiptoes, his face far too close to his. He had his eyes right in front of Oliver’s lips, feeling his breath for a few seconds before stopping in front of his eyes. "No, nothing."

Oliver smiled as he watched him walk away, he walked behind him, following him down the stairs in silence. When he looked up, he saw the numerous family photos, the drawings signed by his father, a disorganised desk with colourful lights. They almost looked like a normal family, their house was so much smaller than his but so much more welcoming.

When they passed through the living room to reach the kitchen, Oliver finally noticed his parents; he had already met them under much less pleasant circumstances, but at least they looked... Normal.

"Oliver..." His mother began, a bit suspicious. Her son stepped in front of her to open the fridge and take out the water. Kimi gave him a discreet wave to let her know everything was fine, away from Oliver's gaze.

Oliver walked around the table hesitantly, he had no idea what to do. Standing next to his father, Oliver greeted him while looking at the kitchen. Childhood drawings everywhere, a birthday calendar, everything he didn't know, it all seemed... peaceful. "Can I help you?" He asked Veronica, who turned around a bit surprised; when she had met him for the first time, he hadn't seemed so attentive.

"No, but that's kind of you, Mr. Bearman." Veronica sat next to her son, right across from Oliver, with an almost accusatory look. Her mother wanted to keep her son safe and was convinced he would fare better away from him.

“So... Do you eat sugar the morning in Italy?”

"Yes, I'm sure you're going to love it."

Kimi placed the loaf of bread and one of the coffees he had just taken out of the coffee maker in front of him, smiling gently.

"And this is for?"

"Well, for you." Replied Kimi, astonished.

His parents looked at each other before looking at Oliver, frowning.

"Oh, but I don't want to bother you-"

"It's normal, Oliver, you're not going to eat anything, are you?" His parents looked at each other again.

"It's just that...I'm not used to it. But I would love to try that, it looks super good.”

Something softened deep within him, just for a few seconds, was that the feeling he had never known?

“What are you not used to exactly ?" Asked Veronica.

"Well, breakfast."

The family in front of him looked at him like a disabled person in a wheelchair who had just stood up.

Oliver smiled at them as if everything were normal before biting into the piece of loaf that Kimi had just handed him.

"Have you never had breakfast made for you?" Asked his father, just waking up.

"No...Never." Oliver laughed, grabbing the coffee cup to bring it to his mouth with a smile; he was clearly unaware of things. "Anyway, it's really super good. Thank you very much.”

Veronica leaned towards her son's ear, "Are his parents alive?" Kimi turned his eyes towards her, shrugging his shoulders as if to say he didn't know anything.

“By the way, I'm organising an outdoor movie on Saturday in the garden. There will be a lot of people, but come with Doriane and Liam, especially Liam, Isack wants to see him.” Kimi looked at him again, astonished. It was completely incomprehensible, Oliver was definitely a special case. "Well, if your parents are okay with it...I don't know if at our age we still have to ask.”

"Of course you can go, Kimi." His father was slightly smiling, avoiding the momentary awkwardness. "Your parents are not..."

"They're never around, I haven't seen them since…5 months? I believe so." Oliver responded neutrally, without really expressing any emotions.

"You shouldn't have to go through this alone. Is there someone who comes to see you from time to time?”

"I see my grandparents once a month, but that's enough for me."

Was that enough for him?

It was fucking terrifying, if his parents had left him like that he would surely have gone crazy.

Kimi looked at Oliver again, no one was smiling except him.

Oliver might have already been crazy.

"Liam, please, you're the only one missing!"

Behind the wheel, Doriane patiently waited for Kimi to find a good excuse to convince him to come.

Kimi was standing below Liam's window, almost feeling like he was in a romantic comedy.

Liam was leaning out of his window trying to hear what Kimi was saying to him. "My parents are going to kill me! I'm not coming!” he shouted from the top of his window.

"Isack will be there!"

Liam was way too easy to convince, in the back of the car, he kept grumbling as if we had just forced him to do the worst punishment.

"How do you know he'll be there?"

"Oliver, he's the one who told me." Kimi had almost forgotten that he still hadn't thought about talking to them about it.

"Ollie? Since when are you buddies?” Doriane had never really liked Oliver, she knew perfectly well what he was capable of when things didn't go his way, she didn't hate him, nor did she like him, she just knew it was better to be his friend than his enemy.

"I don't see you two being friends." Said Liam as Doriane stopped at the red light at the corner of the street, the blonde tapping against the steering wheel, visibly stressed.

"We're not friends... It's just weird." Kimi had just piqued their curiosity.

"How ?" Asked Doriane, starting up again at the green light.

"I think we almost kissed."

The reactions were just as quick, Liam moved from the back seat, resting his face on his shoulder with a smile.

"Are you kidding me?"

“No. I think he's flirting with me.”

"You're just Oliver's type." Added Doriane before finally stopping in front of Oliver's big house.

"But... Do you love men?” Asked Liam.

"Apparently, yes." Kimi replied as he opened the door.

"Did you seriously think he was straight?" Doriane stepped out in turn, followed by Liam who slammed his door.

"I was just not sure."

"Oh yeah, so everyone knew except me." Liam came and placed his hand on his shoulder to gently pat it. All three of them moved in front of the house, taking the small path that led to the garden. "The first one who opens his mouth about what I told him, I'll d-"

"We won't say anything." Said Doriane, "But not because we're afraid of you, we're afraid of him." She pointed at Oliver, who was standing behind the projector trying to adjust it.

"I can't believe this guy has so many friends." Liam stopped, looking around him; lights were placed high up everywhere, there were towels and other objects on which people could sit. A large screen was raised with a projector right in front of them, the place looked much softer and more pleasant than the first time he had come, invisible, surrounded by drunken people.

Even Oliver seemed to be in a good mood, he had desperately needed people around him, he found every possible excuse to no longer be alone at home, and it showed.

Kimi still didn't know what to do with him, he knew very well that being with him was too dangerous, for both of them.

When Oliver lifted his eyes to him he noticed him, he gently stood up, leaning on his knees. He was about to come towards them, but suddenly, Gabriel stopped in front of them, blocking their path.

He had almost forgotten it.

"Hey guys." Clearly, he had something to ask him. "Can I talk to you?" He asked, looking at him.

Liam and Doriane looked at him a bit surprised, "We'll save you a spot." She suggested, pulling Liam with her. "And you will be able to find Isack."

Gabriel looked worried, but Oliver was drawing too much of his attention, just behind him he had noticed and had returned behind his projector, ignoring their conversations.

Gabriel leaned forward towards his ear, lowering his voice. "You didn’t say anything?"

Kimi raised his head towards him. "What are you talking about?" He asked innocently.

"For me and Nico." Gabriel had a much more aggressive tone. "I saw you."

Behind him, Oliver's gaze – which he thought was discreet – was fixed on Gabriel.

"So what?"

"Did you tell someone, fuck Kimi?" Gabi leaned towards him again.

"Yes, absolutely everyone, Gabriel! You didn't see, I even made posters!” Gabi closed his face, lowering his eyebrows with an expression that said it was far from funny. "Of course I didn't say anything, I don't care."

“Ok. Thank you... if you could... Say nothing at all." Kimi nodded, "I'll repay you for this." Gabriel smiled at him, patting him on the shoulder.

He was already about to leave, walking towards the grass where all the other students were, but Kimi's hand rested on his forearm, holding him back. Oliver didn't expect that, and clearly, neither did Gabriel.

"Nico, do you know that he... He deals? And at a high level. He is super dangerous and besides, there's a twenty-year age gap, it's..." Gabi removed his hand, frowning.

"Yes, I know, but I'm just sleeping with him, it's not a big deal."

"Okay, but I just wanted to let you know."

"It'll be fine." He replied in an ironic tone, removing his hand from his arm.

Kimi watched him walk away, rubbing the back of his neck gently, he turned his face to see Oliver wave, he waved back while watching him leave.

The more Oliver got to know Kimi, the weirder he found him.

It intrigued him, he liked it, but at the same time, secretive people scared him a little

Who had chosen this movie?

It certainly wasn't Oliver, given his state, his eyes were red and he had folded his knees against his chest. Right next to him, Isack was holding it together much better than Oliver, his legs crossed casually as he sat. Liam couldn't take his eyes off him.

Choosing the movie Beautiful Boy was far from a good idea. The story between a father and his son who had a more than complicated relationship, it was as if the film had been chosen to hurt him.

Kimi couldn't concentrate any more than Liam, he had started to see tears falling on Oliver's cheeks. A few seconds later, he had gotten up, leaving Isack alone, who hadn't even realised he had left.

Kimi reacted just as quickly, he placed his hand on Liam's shoulder, patting it. "Go see Liam, he's all alone." Kimi quickly turned to Doriane. "I'll be right back." Doriane nodded, smiling at him as she watched them leave.

She didn't try to understand, far too interested in the movie.

Kimi had had trouble following him in his house; he knew it much better than he did, even though he was starting to get used to coming here, especially since he had cleaned it from top to bottom.

Kimi followed him to the first floor, passing by the numerous empty rooms; the more he saw the rooms, the more he understood why he felt so lonely. What an idea to have so many rooms when he only slept in one – the smallest one, by the way – there was an office, the library where he had seen Gabi and Nico kiss, an enormous dressing room that was surely the size of his living room, he could almost get lost in it.

Fucking rich.

On the first floor, he saw Oliver slam the door behind him at the end of the hallway. Exactly in the same room where he had let him fall asleep a week ago.

He ran to the end of the hallway, passing by numerous closed doors he had never dared to open before, before stopping in front of his room.

Kimi took a slight breath, his leg trembled as he nervously fiddled with his fingers, he hesitated for a few seconds before raising his arm in front of his face and knocked on the door.

No response, but Kimi could hear his breathing very well on the other side of the door, his sobs – which he was trying to make discreet – were ragged and choked him up.

Kimi knocked a second time. "Oliver. It's me, Kimi." Oliver didn't answer. "Is it Timothée Chalamet's bad acting that makes you so depressed?" Kimi laughed in front of his door.

No response.

Not the time for a joke.

Kimi thought about his mother for a few seconds, he wasn't any better than her.

"How are you?" He asked again.

"Please, go away." Oliver's cold tone did not reassure him.

"Hmm..." Kimi pretended to hesitate. "No. But if you don't want me to come, I can stay here." He leaned his back against the wall, sliding down to the floor. "I will be your emotional support from a distance."

Kimi didn't know how long he had been there, but long enough to wonder if he was still alive.

"It's fine, come in." Kimi was slightly surprised, he jumped before getting up and passing through the door, closing it behind him.

Oliver had made a lot of changes since he had come, he had managed not to make too much of a mess, he had even added a few posters, a bit like in his own room. Maybe he had been inspired by it, maybe not, it didn't matter, it was cute. He had even added LEDs to his wall, giving his room a pastel orange colour.

This time, it really looked like a teenager's room.

Kimi moved towards the bed, sitting at the end, looking at Oliver in front of him. He was sitting against the wall of his bed, the pillow wedged behind his back.

"You don't want to talk to me about your father, I suppose." He continued, moving closer to him. Oliver shook his head, agreeing with him. "So... What can I do?

Kimi had once again moved towards him, kneeling on his bed, Oliver's legs stretched out right next to him, and their hands were only a few centimetres apart. Kimi could see the redness on his nose and cheeks, his tears still on his neck, sliding down to his shirt.

Kimi felt ashamed to find him cute at that moment.

"Nothing, it'll be fine."

"Are you sure?" He asked again, moving his hand over his to gently caress it. "Do you want a glass of water?" Oliver shook his head. "A hug?" He repeated the same gesture. "A blowjob?" Kimi laughed, making Oliver react this time, who chuckled softly.

"But...That's kind." Oliver wiped his last tears, running his hand through his hair to wake himself up.

"I wasn't really planning on making you one." He said with a smile.

"It's a shame, it would have surely cured my parental issues and my creeping depression."

He had regained his sense of humour, it was reassuring.

Kimi, smiling at him and trying to be comforting, eventually let go of his hand and looked around.

Oliver took his hand back just as quickly. "Kimi..." he was hesitant, putting his second hand behind his neck. "Are you sure nothing happened between us on Saturday? I don't know, I have the feeling that…”

"What?" Asked Kimi, leaning his back towards him.

"That we kissed."

Fuck.

Maybe he had forgotten the moment, but surely not the feeling it had given him. It had crossed his mind that Oliver was already too attached to him, but he didn't care.

"I think I would have remembered." Kimi had moved forward a few centimetres, his hand had come up next to his cheek. Kimi stayed for a few seconds, gently caressing.

"I don't know why I think you taste like... Cherry."

It was the smell of his shampoo.

Oliver had placed his hand under his hips to shift him closer, his knees were now half away from his waist. Oliver lowered his face towards his neck, smelling it for a few seconds.

“I was right. You smell like cherries.”

"If you had kissed me." Kimi gently pushed his face away. "You would have remembered."

“You think so? Prove it to me then.”

Kimi couldn't take it anymore, it was too heavy to bear, it almost hurt to hold back.

He lifted his back in one swift motion, moving quickly towards his chest before kissing him. Oliver reacted just as quickly, placing his hands on his hips, pulling him closer, deepening the kiss.

Kimi was practically lying on him, Oliver was holding him way too close, pulling him against him, forcing him to sit on his lap. Kimi let his legs slide on either side of his body, he could no longer really control himself. His lips resting on Oliver's took too much energy from him.

And on top of that, Oliver was actually moving, he kept kissing him, roaming his hands under his shirt. Kimi's hands were already behind his neck, moaning beneath Oliver’s lips that continued to move against his.

"We can do this here if you want." Proposed Oliver between two kisses, sliding his hand over his waistband.

Kimi nodded against his lips but was unable to part from him, trying to hold him as close as possible, his warmth so pleasant, his tongue that had found its place in his mouth moving gently.

He wanted to keep him, to imprison him in his arms for life.

But for him, it might have been a bit too much.

Literally.

Once again, Oliver was no longer moving. Kimi understood better what caused his pauses; as soon as he let his tongue sink a little too far into his mouth, he would stop breathing.

"No...Oliver, please..." Kimi took his face in his hands, shaking him gently. "Wake up, come on..." Kimi pleaded into the void, he pushed Oliver’s back against the wall to let him fall back onto it.

His arms resting on the wall, Kimi placed his forehead on it, sighing.

"What am I going to do with you?" Said Kimi, kissing him on the forehead.

He sighed, picking up his phone that had fallen to the ground and opened it to find his emergency contacts. He pressed the first one, bringing his phone to his ear.

He waited a few seconds before hearing a voice on the other side of the phone.

“Mom? Can you help me ?”
