Chapter Text
The steady quiet of the morning settled as the sun rose. It was a beautiful sky that day, soft hues of orange and pink bled through the clouds as blue merged from above.
Sophia's alarm buzzed beside her as she stirred awake. Through her exhaustion she padded the side of her bed trying to find her phone. When she finally felt it in her grasp Sophia glanced at the time, 6:47 and about 4 messages from "In-song-iacs".
She wouldn't need to actually get up for 13 minutes, but knowing her she would doze off, wake up at 7:20 and run late.
Begrudgingly Sophia slowly rolled herself over until she felt her hand hang off the side of the bed and stood up abruptly, trying to shake off any lingering exhaustion.
No one was awake at this time, but Sophia didn't mind. It meant more time where she could be left with her thoughts.
Head still fuzzy from sleep she decided a shower was the best course of action.
Sophia stepped in flinching slightly at the temperature if the water
"Shit that's cold"
She fiddled around with the shower handle until a hint of warmth washed over her.
Stringing out the last drops of water from her hair, Sophia tossed on a simple faded tshirt and a pair of cargo pants she had lying around.
By the time she finished, "In-song-iacs" had 18 notifications.

Sophia let out a small breath and checked the time, 7:02. Perfect. She quickly tossed her laptop into her bag, before going into the kitchen. There she made a two sandwiches, and a random granola bar she despised but somehow Megan loved. Grabbing her phone, keys and card, Sophia made sure to leave a small note on the kitchen table for her parents.
"Went to school early for club activities, I'll take bus home too" - S
Today was going fine already, there was no way it could get worse.
The bus wasn't too full by the time Sophia got on. There were a handful of students sitting together whispering about who knows what. Frankly Sophia didn't really care. She instead made her way to the back window seat. Here no one could bother her and she could draw in peace. When she sat down she opened her bag and began rummaging through. Nothing.
"What the, where is it? shit did I-" she muttered to herself.
It finally struck her that in her hurry to get out the she had completely forgotten her sketch book back in her room.
Maybe today could get worse.
