Chapter Text
It had been an average day for Percy. He had been outside just walking around by the camp. He had nothing else to do and he at the moment had nothing else to do. He couldn't exactly go home because last he checked Bruce and everyone else thought he was dead. He left his father after Jason died at the age of twelve and that was that.
He felt a figure by him and he quickly turn around. He swung his sword Riptide but to his surprise it turned out to be just a woman standing in front of him. She nodded at him and looked at him.
"I'm Talia al Ghul and I need your help," she stated. She looked at him with a pleading face.
"Your not a monster are you?" Percy questioned as Talia shook her head.
"No," she said. "No I am not. I however do need your help Perseus Jackson. Come."
Percy decided randomly to follow Ms al Ghul. She didn't strike him to much as a threat. If she turn out to be a monster he could defend himself.
Percy came across a boy to where Talia lead him. He looked like Bruce funnily enough. Percy could see the similarities. The eyes though they where green like his. Maybe not sea green but still green.
Talia gazed at him. She put a arm on the kid who had been watching Percy who Percy himself had no idea what is going on. Talia sighed and looked at him again.
"Perseus Jackson meet Damian Wayne," Talia introduce and Percy froze.
Percy then got confused did Wayne somehow had some sort of relation to Bruce? Did Bruce have a kid out there he didn't know about? Well Percy also is Bruce's kid but that is its own thing. Plus Bruce adopted him so he knew he exist even if he had no idea if Percy was alive or not. Percy was literally going into a war and he decided to keep his family safe he was going to stay at camp year round at 12. Bruce didn't need to worry about him and demigods can't use phones so he couldn't contact him. Now he has a son that he probably doesn't know about.
"Bruce has a son," Percy said as Talia nodded. "Bruce has a son?"
"I'm his biological son," Damian said.
"Yeah and he has other sons as well," Percy shrugged. He looked over at Talia. "How did you know Bruce is my dad? Not even camp knows. Also how did you get over here?"
"My father Ra's happens to be a son of Thanatos," Talia hesitated. "I knew of camp Half-Blood and where it is located. I also had been keeping an eye on you. I figured I could trust Damian with you."
"Bruce?" Percy said. "What about him.
"You can take Damian to Gotham," Talia shrugged as if it's no big deal.
"Ms Al Ghul my dad thinks I'm dead," Percy told her. "Bruce that one."
"I don't want the league of assassins to catch up," Talia said. "If I leave Damian with you it wouldn't be as suspicious. Please?"
"Why do I have to go live with Father?" Damian asked as Talia sighed.
"It's safer," Talia concluded. "Besides I wasn't the best mother. I had time to think about it."
Damian eyed her. Damian wasn't all bouncing around like Nico was when Percy meet him. Percy hoped Nico was all right out there. He had no idea where the son of Hades was besides the fact that Nico Di Angelo hated him for his sister. Maybe Percy could be more lucky with Damian.
"Bruce is a good dad," Percy added. Damian looked at him now.
"Didn't you say he thinks your dead Jackson?" Damian question.
"Yes but doesn't matter," Percy said. "I still grew up with him and sure he isn't perfect no one is perfect. At the end of the day though he good. Both as a father and person. Better then a lot of billionaires as well.
"I see," Damian said.
"Look Perseus Bruce has always said good things about you," Talia told him. "I figured I can trust you."
"Ms al Ghul I go by Percy I don't like going by Perseus, only my enemy's call me that and right now you don't really strike me as one," Percy said. "Bruce thinks I'm dead. Also why would I go back to Gotham. Last I check Bruce happen to be drinking after my brother died and Dick wasn't visiting."
"Things can change," Talia insisted. "I wouldn't request Damian to be with his father otherwise. You are also one who I trust to bring my son to Gotham.
Percy looked at Damian and the kid looked at him. Percy felt like he at the moment somehow had Bruce haunting him. This had not been what he expected after being up on Olympus.
"I'll see what I can do," Percy concluded. He looked at Talia. "I'm helping camp a little but I guess Damian can go in if he is a legacy. Then I shall take him."
Talia nodded and gave Damian a smile That reminded Percy of Sally Jackson. Percy watch the too and wonder what exactly the League of assassins where like. He knew he he had been lucky enough that he lad Bruce after his mom but Damian had no one.
"I'll see you again one day," Talia told Damian.
"I hope so mother," Damian simply said.
"Right well I should probably get a move on now," Talia said. "Be good for Percy ok Damian. Percy protect my son."
With that Talia al Ghul left the too of them alone. Damian looked over at Percy calculating him. Somehow in a way that reminds Percy of Annabeth. Speaking of Annabeth she was still here until she had to return to school. Percy should probably tell her about his new brother. This all happened so fast.
Percy turned to the boarder as Damian quickly followed. He then looked at the boarder by Thalia's tree.
"I Percy Jackson allow Damian Wayne into camp."
Then Percy had Damian go through the boarder and he followed through. They made it back and Percy knew he wasn't going to put Damian through sleeping with the Hermes cabin. He knew Damian came from some sort of wealth from Talia. If Chiron had a problem Percy didn't care Damian is not a normal kid so he would be Poseidon cabin for the rest of his stay.
Percy heard a knock and Damian got the door. Percy wasn't sure if that decision had been wise but he didn't know what else to do.
"Who are you?" Damian asked as Percy saw Annabeth outside.
"Annabeth Chase," Annabeth said and she seemed to be amused. "You?"
"Damian al Ghul," Percy answered as Annabeth looked at him.
She raised an eyebrow. "al Ghul?"
Percy sighed as he lean back on his bed. "Fine he's a Wayne. I just don't want camp knowing. One of the reasons why I went by Jackson besides it being my name before Bruce adopted me."
Annabeth looked shocked but Percy doesn't blame her. He isn't sure if his shock has gone yet or if he's still processing the fact that Bruce had a son.
"Why is he here?" Annabeth asked.
"Why can't I be here Chase?" Damian question as Annabeth looked at him.
"Do you have a godly parent? Are you even a demigod?" Annabeth asked which Percy guess that is a fair question. Annabeth looked at Percy. "I thought you said Bruce Wayne doesn't know about the Greek Gods."
"He doesn't," Percy said. "Damian is a legacy of Thanatos though."
"That makes more sense," Annabeth said.
"Look Annabeth I need to take Damian to Gotham," Percy quickly said as Annabeth looked at him.
"I thought you said you didn't plan on going back to Gotham for a long time," Annabeth said.
"What if I just miss Alfred's cooking?" Percy playfully said. He dodged a pillow thrown by Annabeth.
"Who's Alfred?" Damian asked.
"He's a butler," Percy answered. "The best."
"You only have one?" Damian asked again.
"The only one?" Percy question.
Why the gods would they need more then one? They don't really need any at all but Percy know Alfred has been with the Wayne's for ages plus Bruce has a lot of money. Alfred's cool though so Percy can't complain that much. It did take time to get use to have a butler from when Percy lived with his mom in New York in an apartment.
"In the league we have multiple servants," Damian stated.
Annabeth giggled as they both look at her. "Sorry it's just I've been on the run when I had seven years old and here you guys are talking about servants."
"I haven't lived at the manor in a long time wise girl," Percy told her. "Also I can't help that Bruce has a lot of money."
Annabeth shrugged as Damian looked at her.
"Why are you here?" Damian asked sharply.
"Well I came here to tell Percy that he should probably go see Chiron if you want to know," Annabeth remarked.
"Well I suppose I should tell Chiron I'm heading for Gotham at some point," Percy said.
"You going to take Blackjack?" Annabeth asked.
Percy looked at Damian and shrugged. "What other choice do I have. Transportation costs money."
"Who's Blackjack?" Damian asked.
"My pegasus," Percy told him.
Damian nodded at that. Percy decided to leave Damian with Annabeth while he payed Chiron a visit. Hopefully Annabeth and Damian did something with the Athena cabin maybe Percy didn't know.
"Chiron," Percy greeted as he came to the big house. "I plan to take a trip to Gotham."
"Really?" Chiron asked surprised. He looked at Percy. "You haven't been back since you left Yancy?"
"Yes but last minute things came up," Percy told him. "Have to take my brother home."
"Brother?" Mr D asked. "Did Poseidon have another kid or something."
"No," Percy shook his head. "My other father apparently did."
Mr D nodded. He looked at Percy. "The people in Gotham are insane Johnson. I don't know how you survived living in Gotham."
"Aren't you the god of instantly?" Percy asked. "That match's with likes of the Joker and Scarecrow."
"Whatever," Mr D said. "The Bat takes care of them."
"Batman," Percy said. "Yeah and he probably does a better job then any of the gods would."
"Watch it Peter Johnson," Mr D snapped. Chiron sighed as the to of them looked at the centaur.
"I suppose that should be fine," Chiron nodded. "Just get back as soon as possible Percy. We need you here."
"Yeah I will," Percy said.
"How do you plan on getting to Gotham " Chiron asked.
"Blackjack?" Percy asked as Chiron shook his head.
"I can give you some money for the trip with your brother. I rather not have anyone working with Kronos seeing you." Chiron told him as Percy looked over at him.
"Fine," Percy said.
"I still stand by what I said," Mr D told Percy. "I wouldn't even want to have Castor or Pollux to live in Gotham"
"They weren't raised in New York then lived in Gotham like I did," Percy told him. "Us Gotham natives are very different from the average person. We also know how it operates. Why do you think the Bat doesn't want other heroes working in Gotham."
"Makes sense with everything going on in that freaky place" Mr D said.
Chiron looked at him. "Are you going to see your father?"
Percy froze he hasn't thought about that. He really only plans to drop Damian off then leave. Have Damian tell them that Talia drop him off and hope that Talia goes along with that if Bruce asked.
He does miss Bruce Dick and Alfred. Sure Bruce wasn't in the best place but from what Percy seen from Selena Beauregard showing him newspapers he seems to be doing better.
Percy also knows from Drew and other Aphrodite kids that Bruce adopted Tim Drake. Percy remembers Tim he would sometimes hang out with him at Galas if Rachel wasn't around. He and Rachel would also join Tim as none of them wanted to be there.
Percy knew Jason also didn't like Galas but he would usually be by watching Bruce or somewhere else. He didn't really join them when they tired to ignore the gala of rich folks.
Though would he just leave Damian just because he decided that he would take Damian to Bruce? Percy then wonders if he should get attach to Damian just to leave him like he did his other brothers. Jason left him that but for Jason it is different.
That's one of the reasons why Percy doesn't blame Nico being mad at him. He had beenlike that to when Jason died. Then Bruce decided to send him to Yancy. It wasn't safe for him to be by Bruce when he had been drinking. Especially when it triggered Percy's own trauma from living with Gabe. Alfred suggested for Percy to go to Yancy and Bruce agreed. Alfred was the last one Percy saw when he drop him off at Yancy. He hasn't seen his mortal family since.
His home situation had been its own thing and with monsters after him Percy didn't want his family in danger. It would be safer for everyone that way. He had been glad that the Aphrodite cabin keep him updated with the Wayne's even if they didn't know he had once been Percy Wayne. They where unknowingly giving Percy information to his own family.
"I don't know," Percy said. He looked at Chiron. "I don't know."
"You can figure it out," Chiron said. "Though it wouldn't hurt."
"I suppose," Percy shrugged. "I'll see when I get in Gotham."
"Good luck than Percy," Chiron said as Percy nodded.
"Well leave tomorrow over Friday I should hopefully be back by Sunday at the latest." Percy told Chiron.
"Where's your brother staying?" Chiron asked.
"Damian will be staying in Poseidon cabin. No objections. It's probably for the best for all parties involved," Percy said. Chiron didn't have to know Damian had been raised in a group of assassins.
"Percy," Chiron sighed.
"Hey Poseidon seems fine with it so far," Percy said. "I'm going to check on Annabeth and Damian now. Bye."
With that he left Chiron and Mr D as he head toward the training ground. He figured Annabeth would be there.
He saw Clarisse and surprisingly Damian glaring at each other. He looked over at Annabeth.
"What happened here?" He asked.
"Damian told Clarisse that he's more superior in sword fighting," Annabeth sighed. "Clarisse being a daughter of Ares took that as a challenge."
"I am better then this kid," Clarisse said.
"Sure you are I do have to say I am better at sword fighting La Rue," Damian fired back.
Clarisse took out her sword as did Damian. Percy wondered where he got that from. Clarisse went towards him as Damian dodge. Damian leaped in front of her as Clarisse eyed him.
"Just give up punk," Clarisse said. "I'm a daughter of Ares."
"Your skill can be better La Rue," Damian said as Clarisse sword that she had in her hand flew by Damian.
"I guess it's a family thing," Percy said as Annabeth looked at him.
"What?"
"Pissing Clarisse off," Percy said as Clarisse glared at him.
"Shut up Jackson!" Clarisse yelled.
She had been cut off guard as she fell down to the ground and Damian held his sword against her. She gave an annoyed look as Damian smirked. Percy laughed and Annabeth even gave a smile.
"Percy how about you and Damian go spar," Annabeth suggested. A lot of the Athena cabin also nodded agreeing with her.
"What you say Damian," Percy said as he got up and picked up a mortal sword.
"Prissy I think your brother can see through the mist just fine," Clarisse pointed out. She lifted the sword she hold in her hands. "This sword here works the same like Riptide."
Percy looked at Damian and he guessed he had not surprised. Would that make things more complicated when Percy goes to Gotham. He hopes not.
So Percy grabbed riptide and Damian had actually been really good at dodging it and calculating Percy's every move. Annabeth was watching them more so then the rest of the Athena kids who would look over every once and a while.
"Your good," Percy said. He got closer. "Form needs more work though.
"Of course I am Jackson I am the grandson of Ra's who also is the demon head. I am the son of Talia al Ghul and Bruce Wayne," Damian said as Percy managed to get him to surrender.
Damian did look surprised as Percy laughed. "I can teach you some day. It's always good to improve you know."
"Of course the kid lose to Jackson," Clarisse said with a huff. Annabeth shrugged at her but gave Percy a smile.
"Your skill looks good," Annabeth told Damian. "That's something to be proud of."
"I know Chase," Damian said with a glare. "Who taught you Jackson."
"Camp?" Percy said even though both Annabeth and he knew that Luke taught him. Then it was just learning by each quest. After Luke trick Annabeth to hold the sky though he didn't want to think of the son of Hermes.
Damian nodded as Annabeth raised an eyebrow.
"You think someone else trained him?" Annabeth asked. "Who?"
"Father," Damian said as if it had been so obvious.
"Why Bruce?" Percy asked. Bruce didn't really seem like the fighting type. Last Percy knew Bruce seems to be doing better and being a dad. His relationship with Dick gotten better and Dick looked like he is seeing Bruce more. Percy also could not forget about Tim.
"Batman," Damian said as if it had been nothing.
Everyone went quite. Clarisse looked over at Percy. The Athena kids stopped what they where doing and looked at Percy. Annabeth eyed Percy to as Percy could see her looking right at him.
"Damian," Percy asked. "Are you saying that Bruce and Batman are the same person?"
Damian looked at him like as if he where dumb. Like he had been the only person in the world who didn't know Batman's identity even though the Bat probably keeps it quite for a reason.
Percy's father though? The mortal one not the godly one. If the Batman had been Bruce under the mak then why did Bruce not tell him? Did that make Dick or Jason Robin. Then Nightwing who Percy knew worked with Batman. Maybe Nightwing was Dick and Robin Jason. Why didn't they not tell Percy. Is Tim Drake Robin now. Did he picked the mantle up right after Percy's own brother Jason died.
"Yes," Damian said and it went to chaos.
