Chapter Text
“If you don’t get your fucking leg off me, I’m going to kill you.” Ohyul grills out with Ryul laying next to him, not giving a single shit. Instead of moving his leg, he places his other one on top of Ohyul’s stomach, earning a groan in return.
“There’s not enough space on the bed. Deal with it or get off,” Ryul says before turning to look at Ohyul and giving him a smirk. Ohyul elbows him in the face before getting up and walking into the bathroom.
He missed the warmth, Ryul realized. The bed was suddenly too cold.
Not wanting to dwell too much on thoughts, he grabbed his phone, texting Juhoon who was apparently on a job himself regarding a mansion in Osaka. He tossed the blankets aside before sitting up, messing around his dark brown hair. He was exhausted, wanting to sleep a bit more, but it was already past noon and they needed to discuss what was happening tomorrow. Woojin had texted earlier to go to their room when they were washed up so they could all have lunch together.
“Go,” Ohyul said, walking out of the bathroom and Ryul choked on his spit, not being able to look at the man who walked towards the closet to get a new set of clothes. Ohyul only had a towel around his waist with nothing covering his upper body, and Ryul couldn’t help but follow the man with his eyes.
“Did I not just tell you to go? They’re waiting for us,” Ryul’s train of thoughts were broken, walking into the bathroom, not being able to forget what he just saw. He stared at himself in the mirror and saw the faint pink that was all over his cheeks and slapped himself.
I can’t be doing this, especially not now, he tells himself before washing up. Splashing water all over his face, he thinks back to what he was told yesterday by Louis and Woojin.
“There’s nothing wrong with you thinking he’s pretty.”
“Do you like him or do you just wanna get inside his pants?”
He brushes his hair, placing strands of it on his forehead making himself look like a coconut. He rubs his face, ignoring the feeling he was having in his stomach. He was told to do a job without killing anyone and that was it, nothing more and nothing less. He grabbed the clothes he brought inside with him, changing into them before walking out.
Ryul was met with Ohyul running his hands through his messy hair, fixing it and putting it in place. His bangs were all over his face and Ryul watched, finding himself to feel a lot warmer.
“Oh you’re out,” Ohyul turns to Ryul and tilts his head toward the door. “Let’s go.”
Ryul shakes his head, trying to not let any of this get to him. He couldn’t afford to be acting like this the day before the mission.
“Took you long enough,” Louis says, watching Ryul sit down on the edge of the bed, kicking off his shoes and turning to Woojin.
“How’d it look inside?” Woojin said, referring to how Ohyul went inside the casino the day before to check everything and to see if there was anything wrong.
Ohyul plopped a piece of bread into his mouth before ripping another piece and dipping it inside the sauce. “It was fine. It was surprisingly pretty crowded even for a Thursday.”
“I’m pretty sure a few head directors came from abroad yesterday” Ryul bluntly said, chewing on the piece of chicken that was uncomfortably hard. “The fuck did they put in this?”
Ohyul looked shocked, not knowing what Ryul had just said. “Really?”
Ryul nodded his head, continuing to eat the food in front of him that tasted disgustingly bland. He took a sip out of the bottle next to him before looking up at Ohyul who was looking at him. He thinks about why he was being stared at but his train of thought was completely thrown off when Ohyul wiped off a few crumbs off his face.
Louis and Woojin stared at them in shock. Woojin almost choked on his water and Louis glared at him to not make a single bit of noise. They were watching Ohyul and Ryul stare at each other as though they were filming some sort of drama.
For two people who couldn’t stand each other, their closeness was absurd. Neither had realized what they were doing.
“Should we leave?” Woojin whispers, trying to not speak loudly.
“It’s our fucking room. Why can’t they just flirt in theirs?” Louis whispers back, eating a few pieces of chips watching the two people that were sitting on the bed, talking their hearts away as if they don’t argue on a daily basis.
“We might see them tomorrow,” Ryul says, leaning against the headboard. “Woojin can talk to them while we go upstairs. Who knows, they might be easier to fool than we think,” he gets up as he shrugs his shoulders before making his way back to the door. “I’ll see you two bright and early tomorrow,” Ryul says with a smile.
“You son of a bitch” Louis murmurs under his breath but makes sure that everyone in the room heard what he said.
“Not you saying that as if you don’t wake up after ALL of us” Woojin says, flaring up a nostril before looking back down at his phone.
Ohyul took this as a sign for him to leave the room as well, walking behind Ryul back inside their room. Ryul was looking through a printed paper of the blueprint of the casino when he smacked his forehead, turning back to Ohyul.
“Shit, I forgot to tell them. Can you go give them this?” Ryul takes a pen and circles a few things on the paper, most likely the places where he wants Louis and Woojin to stay when they go tomorrow. He slides the paper onto the bed before turning away and looking back at his phone.
“That’s a lot of work,” Ohyul jumps into bed, kicking the paper away onto the floor and grabbing his phone to call someone.
Ryul looks at him as if he’s lost his mind. He was so used to having his way that the smallest bit of disagreement irked him. Going into the next room wasn’t hard but it was about the principle of it all. No one ever argues back with Ryul. It’s just… a mandated rule.
Ohyul seemed to push his buttons at any given chance.
“Give them the fucking paper,” he says in a low tone which Ohyul doesn’t give two shits about. He gets up, picks up the paper and places it on Ryul’s chest, making sure it gets wrinkled a bit.
“No,” Ohyul says with a bright smile on his face, a sudden boost of confidence runs through his body as he turns back and winks at Ryul which confuses the man instantly. He grabs Ohyul’s arm to pull him closer, finding it foolish that he thinks he can win. He lets it go a few moments after watching Ohyul walk away.
“Shut the fuck up.”
“Make me.”
Ryul pauses and puts on his usual smirk before walking up to Ohyul, grabbing the collar of his shirt and pulling him closer till their noses are touching.
“I’m sick of you.”
Ohyul stiffened and Ryul felt the goosebumps that had run down Ohyul’s body, making his smirk grow even more. He pulls him even closer, their chests touching and he tilts his head just enough for him to be at the perfect angle to kiss the man he’s holding.
"You're sick of me?" Ryul breathed out, and Ohyul felt every word against his lips. Any sort of teasing and confidence he had in him withered away. He couldn't even make eye contact with the younger man who found this all to be very entertaining. He felt like putty all of a sudden.
Ryul raised an eyebrow and chuckled slightly, making Ohyul the slightest bit intimidated. He leaned in and God knows what would have happened between them if Ohyul hadn't pushed at his chest at the last second.
Bewildered, Ryul looks up to see Ohyul looking at him with his face tinted in red. His breathing was heavy and his front teeth were grazing his bottom lip. It was a beautiful sight, Ryul thought.
He leaned against the desk behind him and watched Ohyul towards the door and walk out.
What just happened?
Ohyul walks inside Louis and Woojin’s room, leaning against the wall, with Woojin laying in bed while Louis is in the shower.
“You look as if you’ve seen a ghost,” Woojin speaks up, throwing his phone on the bed before getting up. “Did something happen?”
Louis walks in at the perfect moment, rubbing the towel on his head attempting to dry his hair.
“Oh you’re back?
“He almost kissed me,” Ohyul blurts out with his ears reddening. He looked up to see Woojin’s eyes widened, trying to process the information he had just learned while Louis placed a hand over his hip.
“He almost kissed you? Did a phone interrupt you two or…” Louis questions and Ohyul scoffs, finding the younger’s comments to be dramatic. “You guys were just here. What could have possibly happened within a span of a few minutes?”
“I pushed him away and came here.”
Woojin spits out the water he was drinking onto the floor and Louis looks at his best friend with disgust before patting him on the back.
“Did you not want to kiss him or?”
“I… you know, I just wasn’t expecting it.”
It had come out of nowhere. Ohyul wasn't understanding what was happening all of a sudden. They couldn't stand one another and now they were chest in chest, practically feeling each other's heart beats. It wasn't making any sense. Did Ryul find this funny? Was this all a joke? He should be putting all his time and attention on the mission and now all he could think about was Ryul.
Annoying, infuriating Ryul.
Infuriating... beautiful Ryul.
Woojin lets out a sigh, breaking him out of his thoughts. Louis looks away, thinking about what to do to put an end to all this. Ryul and Ohyul were dancing in circles and he was debating whether to smack them both so they could actually do something about the situation.
“Homosexuals these days,” Louis whispers before taking out the blow dryer.
“Says you…” Ohyul rolled his eyes, wanting to punch Louis.
“Shut up,” Louis looks up at Ohyul with his eyes half closed, indicating that he’s tired of their bullshit. “It’s not that hard to tell him you like him.”
Ohyul shakes his head no before walking towards the door. "I- I don't like him," Ohyul stammered out before slamming the door shut.
“Didn’t Ryul come in yesterday with his face all red and now Ohyul?” Louis questions and Woojin nods his head in response, earning a frustrated groan in return.
“I’m tired of those two.”
“Same,” Woojin said before leaving the room to go downstairs. He knocked on the room next door and Ohyul opened the door. “I’m getting a few snacks, wanna come?”
“Did I not just see you like a minute ago?” Ohyul couldn’t finish his comment as he was pushed forward from the back by the person he was rooming with.
“Get out. Thanks Woojin,” Ryul smiles and waves before slamming the door shut. Ohyul mumbles a few curses before heading downstairs.
What an odd dynamic, Woojin thinks to himself before walking towards the basket of snacks that were in the lobby.
“Who the fuck eats sour gummies?” Ohyul takes one of the bags Woojin was holding onto and examines it, looking absolutely disgusted.
“Well, Ryul does,” Woojin says, plopping one into his mouth
“Really?” Ohyul questions, saving the information for later.
"Yup, he always has a whole stash in his room."
Fuck that’s kinda cute, Ohyul thought. He couldn't imagine Ryul, who was all tough, to enjoy candy. It just didn't seem to fit together but it was kind of adorable?
“You good?” Woojin was confused with how silent Ohyul was all of a sudden.
“Uh yeah, yeah I’m fine,” Ohyul walks back towards the stairs leaving Woojin behind to wonder why his friend was acting so weird but he doesn’t question it. It’s better to not question Ohyul.
Ohyul held a few packets of sour gummies that he took from the bags Woojin was holding and threw them onto the bed after he walked back inside the room. He thought Ryul saw what he did but the man was on his phone, minding his own business.
Ohyul obnoxiously coughs a few times that caught Ryul’s attention and when he did, he pointed at the packets he threw onto the bed. He watches as the colors in Ryul’s face come back to life and he even sees a genuine smile growing on the man's face. He feels his heart thump a bit and he tries to pretend he doesn’t know what he’s feeling.
“Aw, thank you,” Ryul looks up at him and places the smile again on his face when looking straight at Ohyul.
He has a fucking dimple.
Ohyul was a weak man, he thought, watching Ryul open the packet of gummies. His face was heating up watching the younger eat all happily. The warm sensation was running through his body and he took out his phone and clicked on a contact right away, not wanting to think about Ryul anymore.
Ohyul: i've lost my fucking mind
He receives a response within seconds
Woojin: what did you do?
He rolls his eyes, thinking about why he was always the one that was blamed
Ohyul: i did nothing but i'm pretty sure i've gone insane
Woojin: is this about ryul? did he say something?
Ohyul: it's not what he said, it’s what he fucking did
Ryul notices the growing frown on Ohyul’s face and wonders what happened, before eating another gummy, thinking it’s too much work to worry about others.
Woojin: so what did he do???? give me answers already
Ohyul: God i think i like him
Ohyul could sense Woojin letting out a snort from the other room.
Woojin: you’re hopeless
Ohyul: i hate you
Ohyul turns off his phone and thinks that he’s truly gone insane. He's only been here for two days and yet he feels as though his entire life has shifted 180. Sure, he's always thought Ryul was good looking, but that was like saying the sky is blue and fire is hot. It was an obvious truth.
But it had never been like this. Ohyul never had his entire body warming over Ryul. He was never his last thought at night or his first thought in the morning. He looked over and saw Ryul laughing at something on his phone. Sighing, he walked towards the bathroom, which was at this point, was his only way of escaping reality.
Turning on the water, he stood under the shower for what seemed like a few minutes, but was actually around an hour. He thought about the only thing he could seem to think about these days.
The mission was tomorrow but everything was suddenly about Ryul.
Woojin, I’ve truly lost my mind.
