Chapter Text
According to Helio, a Pokemon Rally was something she had made up just to sound cool. Pixel honestly didn’t care, what he cared about was not getting hurt trying to tie a net down.
Dart had led them to a shady spot on the forest floor, along the scouting lines, to attempt to capture the umbreon Helio guessed was Caster. Pixel was still skeptical about that.
The nets were made of a thick white string that when in the light looked like it had a faint pink aura. They placed that one in the area and grabbed the ends to pull up for later, completely hiding. Dart walked over to Helio and Pixel, showing her a Pokeball and two pieces of that thick rope.
“Pixel, look straight this way, when he comes up you throw something. An attack, something big enough to make him stand back but not to hurt him.” Dart said as he moved Pixel to stare directly across. “Then when he’s firmly on the net, they spring the trap, we put him in this Pokeball, and hand him off. Finally, these are for if you want to tie him down somewhere.” Showing Helio the two thick ropes.
“Doesn’t the Pokeball seem a little.. inhumane?” Helio asked.
Dart shrugged. “We’re not going to drag him.”
Pixel’s ears flicked when he heard someone faintly whistling a four-note tune. Helio leaned over to Dart, and whispered, “That’s him.” Dart nodded with his eyes narrowed, and returned to his position.
The umbreon stepped into the clearing, staring blankly at something in the distance. Pixel threw a large rock in front of him, just before he stepped there. He turned his glance to the rock, then to where Pixel was. The net flew up, catching him in a balled up position suspended in the air.
He yelped, before Dart threw the Pokeball into the clearing, hitting him through the net, and finally sucking him in.
The ball wiggled around on the floor while it decided whether or not to stay shut. It finally clicked with a small green flash, and sat there. Unmoving.
Dart picked up the ball as his team began collecting the net. Sensor walked over, slinging one arm around his shoulder and looked at the ball. “What’s up? You have your ‘What the hell is this’ face.” he said, in a mock Dart voice.
“Helio,” Dart pushed off Sensor. “Who is this? Why- How did he know that- that song?”
Helio looked up at him. “Your job is to catch him right? Why would you care?” She took the Pokeball. “We’re gonna head back now, if that’s okay?”
Dart looked around, then finally back at her. “I want to see who that is. I’m going with you.”
“What about us? All of us can’t go over there.” Sensor pointed out.
“You make sure everything is done in order, and please,” Dart turned to him. “Don’t do anything stupid until I get back.”
Sensor huffed. “How can I? You takin’ all the stupid with you.”
Dart hugged Sensor, and Pixel faintly heard them mutter, “Jerk” to each other.

Helio led them to a small box cut out of their basement with a small window for light inside the compound. Two Pokemon were guarding the stairs down, but not one person was actually here. It was small, and terrifying, and it made for the perfect interrogation spot.
Helio threw the Pokeball inside as Pixel moved swiftly to place the bindings on them when they came out.
The umbreon was spread out weakly, and Pixel secured the ropes to his paws and the ground. Before running back and standing safely next to Helio.
The umbreon stood, shaking his head before turning around. He leapt at them, causing him to fly tail-over-head and land on his back. He groaned realizing he couldn’t escape.
“Caster?” Helio asked. Dart looked over to her, and Pixel saw the umbreon’s ears flick and eyes go wide for a second. The umbreon forced himself back into a sitting position in the back of the box.
“How do you know that name?” Caster asked.
“Because it’s your name.” Helio answered.
Caster tilted his head. “Who’re you?”
“I’m your sister.” she said firmly. His face before had been flat, but now he looked almost angry.
“Yeah, and she’s my mom.” he gestured to Pixel.
Pixel rolled his eyes. “Are you kidding me?”
“I’m serious, Caster.” Helio stomped. “I am your sister.”
He smiled. “You’re a really bad liar, you know that?” He turned around. “My sister is in some lab with a tube shoved up her ass.”
Helio took a step back as Caster laid down in a ball with his back to them. “He really doesn’t-”
Dart stepped forward. “How’d you know that song?”
“What song?” Caster groaned.
“That four tune-song you whistled in the woods.” Dart said matter-of-factly. “The tune. Caster called it ‘Down’. You sang ‘Down’ in those woods.”
“I wrote that song dip-shit. It’s not called ‘Down’.” Caster rolled his eyes. “I called it Flower Field, after that stupid patch of dandelions I knew my friend liked.”
Dart silently celebrated.
“Not true, I preferred that random bunch of acorns that looked like grapes, in the one pointy tree. Only an idiot would forget that.” Dart said. What he was doing obviously worked. Pixel noticed.
Caster rolled over.
“You gonna torment me before you kill me?” he said, looking half dead inside.
“What- No!” Dart answered quickly.
“How are we tormenting you?” Helio asked.
“My friends are still stuck in some human’s lab and I don’t even know if they’re alive!” Caster began shouting, standing up and moving as close as he could to them without going tail-over-head again.
“We’re alive, Caster.” Helio said calmly. “And we’re standing right here.”
Caster growled at her in disbelief.
“You had silver ears, but only the tips, and I had that same trait. Remember? That’s why you have those.” Helio pointed at the blue rings above the yellow ones. “And that’s why I have these.” She pointed at her own green-tipped ears.
“You- I-” Caster stuttered. “Helio?” He stood in a tensed position, and Pixel almost immediately understood why. He’d expected to die here because he’d met Pixel. He thought that showing that single point of vulnerability was going to make it happen faster.
“In the flesh. And not with a tube up my ass.” Helio shrugged.
“And- Dart?” Caster looked at the greninja still standing in the corner with his arms crossed.
“So, that would mean,” He looked at Pixel. “Hydra?”
“N-no, I’m Pixel. Helio hasn’t yet told the lieutenant you’re here.” Pixel corrected quickly, done being considered a woman.
Caster nodded, sitting down, relaxing. Helio wouldn’t hurt a fly, he clearly knew that.
“So, what’d the Black Rat do to ya’?” Dart asked.
“He didn’t-” Caster started, just before he shook his head and looked down.
His nose was bleeding, a small drip leaked out. His eyes blew wide, and he looked at them in panic.
