“Look, she’s really cute, okay--”
Legend held up a hand, and Hyrule stopped.
There was a moment of silence.
“Okay,” Legend said, “I’ve processed. Continue.”
Hyrule, too busy being embarrassed to question Legend, continued.
“We’re in the same clinical rotations, and she's super smart and wants to work in the ICU, which is crazy, and she’s incredible. Like, we already went on a date too, and I think I want to keep seeing her. She’s super funny and has this really cute snort when she laughs, and like, we may have already kissed--”
“Hold up,” Legend interrupted, mouth open in shock.
“You kissed?”
Hyrule, not realizing he had said that, turned bright red and buried his face in his hands.
“It was late, and I offered to drive her home cause she doesn’t have a car, and I think she had just worked for eighteen hours, but when we got to her home, I pulled up and she said, ‘You’re a real hero’, and kissed me, then just left.”
Legend stared at Hyrule, dumbfounded. Hyrule started biting his nails.
“Then, y’know, I saw her two days later and asked her out on a date, and that went fantastic too! But like, what do I do now? It feels way too early just to go up and ask, ‘Hey, can I be your boyfriend?’, but I also don’t want to keep asking her on dates when I already know I really like her!”
Hyrule ran his fingers through his hair and sighed, plopping down to sit on Legend’s couch.
Legend was still processing, honestly.
“And,” Hyrule continued, “You’re the only one I know in a steady relationship--mom and dad don’t count--and Twi’s got his situationship going on--” Legend snorted, all too aware of the ‘situationship’, “--so I don’t know who else to ask for advice?”
Something in Legend’s heart warmed at the thought. Unfortunately, he had some bad news for Hyrule.
“Hyrule,” Legend started, “I need you to know, both Marin and Ravio asked me out, and I have no clue how it happened.”
Hyrule took a moment to stare at Legend. Then, he groaned, head thunking back to hit the wall.
“I’m doomed,” he lamented.
Legend just patted his shoulder in comfort.
