AITAH - Accidently became the favorite older brother (UPDATE!)
For those who haven't seen the OG post (here) basically me (21 M) and my eldest brother (26) got into a fight over me telling our younger brothers (16 and 10) about how we didn't get along in my childhood, and that changed their opinions of him.
So, for fathers day we all gathered at our dads place for a BBQ, and during this I asked 'D' (the eldest) to have a talk alone, and we ended up shouting which lead to our youngest brother 'H' (10) hearing us, and coming in. H said it wasn't D's choice who they spent their time with and berated him for being childish (which admittedly was quite funny considering it was coming from a 10 year old), and then J (the 16 yr old) found us all, and also told D to stop being a child and that them spending time with me doesn't make them love him any less, and he needs to get over himself.
D was upset, and i didn't really know what to do. D left and the other two asked if they could stay with me (I live in the city and was going home but D lives in another and was staying - H and J still live at home, obviously). I just said yes since they all needed time to cool off. D was sulking and complaining to our dad who said he thought D was being a little selfish and that he isn't their only older brother and offered the solution of D inviting the two younger ones over more or inviting the girls (our sister, and her girlfriend - whos also a family friend, and another family friend which all get along with D and his partner) or even just joining us in hanging out.
I shut down the joining us as it felt too soon and still tense, D also said no to that so it was fine. I was unsure of what to do but after consulting with our uncle I think I found some sort of solution.
J has said before that they do want to hang out with D but he's always busy and they don't want to intrude and he only does so with me when H is already going - H isn't very sociable or easy to get on with and only ever sticks with me or our dad so he wasn't too interested in the idea, but I nudged him to just hanging out with them a few days ago anyways and making it seem like his idea to J since thats the only way J will go.
D, J and H have now gone to a theme park together while I got some work done, and proceeded to be annoyed by the girls who later insisted on a girls night - which our brothers crashed half way through so we all hung out in the end. I guess thats all - will update if anything else happens.
