Chapter Text
Look if you told Firebrand that after his rampage through lost temple he'd be thrown into another world with many non-inphernals and get dragged into a huge conspiracy between a terrorist group and the government he'd ask if you get your supply from that one shop keeper in crossroads with the traffic cone on his head, but here he is.
Now he doesn't really like to talk about what happened much so why not rewind to when he first got here.
Imagine this, a nice warm day fire balls raining from the sky watching everyone you know being engulfed in flames and suddenly the deity causing all this mayhem gets blanketed in his own flames and dragged to the ground, and now imagine being on the receiving end of the dragging... yeah not good.
What's even worse is being said deity and being thrown into an unfamiliar sky and right into a dumpster and knowing a lot of people probably saw that felt very undignified for his poor soul. (Wow the righter can't think of anything better than a Percy Jackson reference) You know what it didn't matter how lazy the righter is at coming up with ideas that aren't references, what did matter is finding where the fuck he is and making the inphernals that hurt his grandson pay.
From the corner of his eye Firebrand could see red feathers swirling in the air toward the ground, whipping around he saw a strange... creature close to an inphernal though no horns odd coloring and without most of the traits that defined an inphernal, he was speechless and shocked unaware of his full situation for sure.
"Whoa hey there hot head no need to burn down the city." The feathered one said in a tone a mix of cockiness arrogancy and cheekiness they he would expect from his other grandson teasing him and not a random person he has never seen before. With all going on around him Firebrand almost didn't notice how the entire area around him was in flames in which he has wiped out the blaze with a strong flap of his wings, and with a huff he looked back up at the stranger wondering what he was still doing here.
"Cool display there but I think you should know by now that using your quirk in public with out a license is illegal." The stranger spoke again in the snarky tone he had just used a minute ago, now Firebrand had no clue what the hell he was talking about but if you think he was about to raise suspicion while in an unfamiliar place he would most likely laugh and let umbrella handle you, oh how he already missed him. ._. . ANYWAYS getting off track after spending a minute processing he decided to speak up.
"I am truly sorry sir I did not realize, I was just in a tough situation and I have seemed to be dragged from my home and family." Firebrand said putting on an apologetic and kind tone despite the other's insolence, adding in even a small bow of the head to try and sell it though the stranger did not seem impressed by his display... the burning trash and the banana peel on his horn most likely didn't help.
"Alright dude I'll pretend that wasn't hella suspicious if you come down to the station with me we need to get you checked up on and maybe they can help out over there more than I can." the other had said nodding his head out of the alley. Firebrand seeing no better option in this point of time got out of the bin, brushed off his kingly attire and walked with the man who was now staring him down.
"For one dude your like hella tall, two sick ass fit, and three concentering how long of a walk it'll be I might as well know your name." the feathered one had said and thinking for a moment Firebrand thought and decided why not.
"Firebrand you?" It was barely a millisecond until the person responded laughing.
"Ok if where going with nicknames call me Hawks." The person apparently Hawks replied
