“My King, may I present to you Homura Akemi of The Scarlet Kingdom, and Sayaka Miki of the Accelerando Kingdom.”
Kyoko and Company watched as the two lady knights knelt down on the floor, as if waiting for a sign to stand up. After about 25 seconds, the duo graciously stood up.
“It's an honor, my lord.” exclaims the ravenette, her striking purple eyes seeming void of much expression, noticed the red Princess. Was she nervous, perhaps?
Man, I sure hope she's not my knight. She seems boring as hell.
“Likewise!” The tall girl with the deep azure eyes spoke up. She certainly had much more pep to her, Kyoko would give her that. Her eyes glowed far brighter than her companion, like there were actually original thoughts in her head. She, truthfully, seemed far less experienced than Mrs. Horror show. Her posture was ever so slightly off, hair askew. She smiled. Kyoko had never seen a knight smile before. She kept scanning the girl up and down, though, eventually, she felt a finger poke her.
“It's rude to stare, Princess.”
Kyoko rolled her eyes as Mami chuckled, Eventually, she slouched back into her chair.
“Ah, it's a pleasure to meet you, Sayaka, Homura. Please take a seat next to your respective Princesses. We have much discussion to have.”
Right..who was who? And who was whos? Who was Miki, who was Akemi? And who was assigned to Kyoko?
The Princess watched as the deadpan-girl walked over to Momo, standing beside her and her mothers chair.
“I am Akemi Homura, and I’ll be your knight from now on. It's a pleasure, Princess Momo.”
Momo stared down at Akemi's bowed form, large eyes squinted.
Giving the creepy one to the kid, huh? That would be fun to watch. Madoka also seemed to be quite interested in her, leaning forward to get a good look at her. The purple knights form shot up, seemingly surprising Madoka. The pinkettes face flushed, now facing down at her lap.
Akemi flipped her hair, taking the seat between the Queen, Momo, and Madoka.
So that meant the tall girl was Miki, and Kyoko's knight.
“Hello, Princess Kyoko. M-My name is Miki Sayaka! I'm gonna be your knight for a while! Let’s work together, ‘kay?”
Before she knew it, the white knight was bowed down at her feet, squeezed between her and Mami. The blonde looked down at the girl, amused, her dainty hand over her mouth.
Could she have not just come around the other side?
“Did you just say ‘Kay' in the presence of Royalty? Not very knightly if you ask me.”
Miki's head shot up, looking right at Sakura.
“M-My bad…”
Kyoko looked intently at her face. Eyebrows ever so slightly scrunched. Mouth turned ever so slightly down. She was kinda easy to irritate, huh?
Well, how far could she be pushed?
The red girl looked over her appearance more, noticing a, “F F” hair clip in her blue mane, seemingly gold.
“You Accelerandians and your fake gold. What the heck is an “F F”?”
“Princess!” Snapped Mami, glancing over at the King who was paying attention to Akemi and Momo, as if to say “Quit messing with her before the King notices!”
“F-For your information…Princess Kyoko..this is real gold, in the form of a fortissimo symbol.” Mumbled Miki, her eyes now down at her lap. For whatever reason, Kyoko could feel her cheeks heat up in embarrassment. It’s not like Sayaka would lie about that, right? She didn’t think it would have actually upset her.
“Yeah, yeah..”
An awkward silence floated between knight and princess, before King Akurashi's booming voice spoke.
“Kaname, Tomoe, please accompany the princesses and knights to their respective chambers. No time like the present for us to get to know each other.”
Akemi and Miki’s posture immediately straightened, the lady’s in waiting giving the King a subtle nod. Madoka helped Momo off her chair and shyly beckoned Akemi to follow them, to which she almost robotically did so.
Just as Mami was about to stand, a loud crash echoed from the other side of the table.
“Ah…Mei.”
The Queen had spilled her glass of Ice tea on her dress, her expression replaced with one of embarrassment and discomfort.
“Pardon me, Miki, I’m sure this isn’t a great first impression of your Queen.”
Miki quickly shook her head, almost frantically. “No, No, not at all my Queen! D-Did you need help cleaning up? I am at your service even if-“
“No need. I’ll help out, ok?”
Mami announced, turning to Kyoko.
“Princess, surely you can hold your own showing Miki around?”
Kyoko silently scans her knight for what could’ve been the 7th time in this short period. A slight drop of sweat had been rolling down her face, her blue hair ever so gently matted. How pathetic.
“Seriously?”
She looked over to her dad, who had a serious expression on his face
Augh. No way out of it.
“Sure, hurry up though Mami.”
The Princess proceeds to elbow Miki
Knight Miki frowns. This would be an interesting tour.
